Good location and, depending on time (and respect of locals) there should be a few disabled spaces outside (as both my parents are blue badge holders). Out of the restaurant's control as it isn't private parking. Spalding residents will be used to this. Ample car park opposite if the theatre isn't packed!
Restaurant clean, nice decor and plenty of seats. Nice open kitchen and pizza oven (albeit out of view from 90% of seats). Have been in on very busy nights and have had to wait for a table (our fault for not booking) but staff attentive and handled well.
As for food I will confess that I can't compare to other town Italian restaurants as haven't used them for a while, but always know that Prezzo will be decent.
Drinks prices are somewhat prohibitive (not many friends would like to pay £6 for a large bottle of Peroni when we are used to Spalding bar prices) and the food is best served when using a voucher - frequent money off deals on the Prezzo website but couldn't really justify full price otherwise.
Typical weekly offers are 25% off mains up to the occasional 'buy 1 get 1 free'. Without offers it's around £11 per pizza, up to £14 for the 'Executive' pizzas.
I believe 4 stars is fair and no doubt pricing is set at head office so not the fault of Spalding's staff.
If they offer to seat you by the WCs, don't be afraid to ask for a nicer table :) read more
