First off, let me be honest. Cheyenne is my wife, so my opinion, understandably, will sound biased. Last year I had a lower back injury and I went to a couple massage therapists, sports medicine clinics and one chiropractor. They all seemed to attempt to work on the area with the pain (which makes sense) but I never had much improvement. In talking with Cheyenne I mentioned my injury and my frustrations and she started asking about the location of the pain and what helps/hurts it. She did some research and got back to me that she thought it was a muscle spasm in the psoas muscle group... what!?!? She explained the treatment was intense but that it should help relax the spasm and help relieve my pain. She worked on muscles all around but not on the injured area. I thought it strange but I went along. To my amazement after the first session I felt a major improvement and this was the beginning of the healing phase. Since then I have been improving over time. Initially, I was tentative about going to Yelp to find a massage therapist...but those I know were not available to give me their recommendations. Cheyenne had ALL positive reviews, so we gave her a call. She was available the same day. What a relief. She and her partner, her husband, are very professional. They are very easy to talk with and she uses the information she gains through conversation to help focus on helping you. Of course, it all comes down to the impact of her massage. Dear Yelpers, This my first post, but felt compelled to join so I can get the word out about Cheyenne... DO NOT WASTE your money with anyone else. I suffer from lower back pain and not only did she work out the kinks in my back, she knew the exact pressure to apply to make it enjoyable. She really understands the mechanics of the muscular system and massaged different muscle groups (that also relieved tension in my lower back) that NO ONE ELSE ever massaged... What sets her apart from other places that you have to go to, is that I NEVER felt rushed before or after my massage. Other places it's all about the turn and burn but with her, she really cares for your well being and gave me a follow up call to make sure I was feeling great the next day... Cheyenne is the best massage I've ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable and has superb customer service skills. From the first contact we had I instantly noticed she knew her job very well, she asked me about my massage needs and made suggestions. Being an athlete I need massages to target a specific areas, whether it be for relaxation or recovery every massage has been excellent. She is punctual and well prepared when she comes to my place. She always has a clean set sheets and will change them when doing back to back massages as she did for my mother and I (yes there are massage parlors that don't change their sheets). I have been going to Cheyenne for my massage for years now because she is amazing. She is so good at her job that even when I have been in pain her technics are so perfect that I have been able to fall asleep during the massage. What I think is one of the best things about Cheyenne is that every massage is "custom made," meaning she listens to you to find out where the trouble spots are and will put extra focus on those trouble spots during your full body massage. I have been to other massage therapists and when you tell them your back or neck hurts they just do the the massage softer. Not Cheyenne, she pinpoints the trouble areas and fixes them. Cheyenne is a very professional and attentive masseuse! It was my first in-home massage and it couldn't have been a more stress-free experience. I live in a Glendale apartment on the third floor and Cheyenne's and her assistant brought the massage table all the way up without a complaint. Also, they came on time and my massage was a full 60-minute Swedish massage as requested. They even asked to take their shoes off when they entered!! WOW. I'm very impressed. The massage was worth the money. She listened to me when I asked for more pressure and when I wanted a head massage at the end. My massage was very customized to my liking. Being in sales and under a lot of pressure to meet deadlines as well as goals, I find it beneficial to stop and receive a massage so that I may think clearly.
