I happened to sit next to the owner of Gaia Salonspa on a flight, and she convinced me to see Hannah and told me the wax is intended for people with sensitive skin. I have been a regular client of Hannah's for three years for waxing, and tried a facial with her as well. She is very professional, makes me feel comfortable, and has a lot of experience and training. When I found out a few weeks ago that she decided to start her own studio, I was excited for her (and also because it is down the street from my house). Today I visited Hannah for my first appointment at Luminous Esthetic Studio, and it was a great experience. She has a private studio within the Allure Salon, which is quaint and decorated very well. After the appointment, I paid with a chip card reader connected to her phone, and set up future appointments which immediately were texted to me as confirmations. The stylist also gave me a haircut after I specifically asked if I was booked for one and explained I didn't want extra charges. She said she "had time" and went ahead, but then I was charged for it anyway. On top of that, I asked for a dark wine red and ended up with a super dark plum/purple that looks almost black in the light, which wasn't what I wanted. What really bothered me was the lack of communication. No one sat me down and explained what the extra services or costs would be, which would have let me make an informed decision. If I had known, I would have chosen differently. Instead, I left with a color I'm not happy with and a bill three times higher than expected. I also felt uncomfortable during the appointment because the stylist made negative comments about another client and her younger sisters. Overall, it was an unprofessional and disappointing experience, and I wouldn't recommend this salon if you're looking for transparency or customer care.

It took them a while to respond. They finally did and I made it very clear I wanted a full set, even sent pictures of their work. I get there and not only it took a long time to do my lashe's, like over 3 hours.... maybe practice a little more because my lash tech in Houston do them a lot better and way less time, but not only was the time despicable but when she finally was done the lashes was so thin and not full at all. I truly wanted a refund. A waste of $160, if you want a classic set no matter what you book then go here, but if you want a FULL nice set that don't spend your whole morning getting, definitely find someplace else.
