Most of the clients there were in dire need of care, where my mother was very high functioning in comparison. A referral of this nature isn't appropriate for someone who is new to hospice diagnosis, and is still working through information, and starting to improve, this seems like a set back. I know that it truly isn't, but it was our interpretation. Perhaps down the road we can revisit, but I feel like the best place is at home, surrounded by family, and fill in the gaps with private duty. Not leave the home again. ​

My mother was there for 3 weeks and had to wait many times between 1 and 2 hours after she rang the call button to get the help she needed; with a couple times just over 2 hours. Management advised "they are in line with staffing levels of other facilities"; but that doesn't mean it's adequate. That's just not acceptable when patients need help. We expressed our concerns several times ti supervisors/managers but nothing changed. Also, the nurse would just hand you a cup of pills and not tell you what it was, and when asked, they actually said "I'm not sure - it's whatever is listed on your chart". That type of response is not good. It makes you think nobody is paying attention to anything. Also the food is bad. Many times my mother could not eat what was given due to it being so tough/hard that she couldn't cut it, or it would be something she was not allowed to have per her doctor's instructions. Her dietary restrictions were told to the staff, but nothing changed, so she would eat crackers or go hungry until a family member could bring something in. Meals frequently came at very late times (breakfast around 11am, lunches around 4pm and dinner s around 7pm or later). The schedule was never consistent. Lastly, the cleanliness was bad. The kitchen/community area on Azalea Lane hallway had mold and dead bugs in the sink the entire 3 week period and may still be there. The refrigerator was filthy and I noticed a puddle of urine by the tv that stayed there an entire day. The only positive thing was the PT and OT she received. The previous owners (Atrium) ran a much better facility and had plenty of help, but the new management or owners do not, based on our experience. Very sad. I hope things change at some point for the benefit of future patients. Hopefully they can get the help they need.

I couldn't imagine more concerned and caring people then them to have established this needed care home in Huntersville. I see the improvements they make for the convenience of the residents. It is heartwarming when family members as well as caregivers take the residents for a stroll or more likely a "roll" through our neighborhood on nice days. They provide planned activities for the residents and have even invited at least one of our elderly neighbors to come for a visit and join in with the group. The story behind this blessing in the parking lot of a Baptist, Church in Concord is by the hands of a thoughtful, local preteen boy looking to love on the community. He was able to create a repository of food, information and inspiration. Anyone who wants can provide or partake of nonperishable items and groceries anonymously. I stopped by after admiring the gesture and decided to add a few items. I plan to do so regularly. It is written... "God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7

Families rave about the care their loved one receives from the loving staff. The in-house medical services are excellent. It's a very socially active community which the residents thrive on. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms are tiled with zero-threshold shower stalls...nicer than my own at home! This is a private pay community (no Medicaid). I work at Ranson Ridge and many of the other staff members have been there with me since we opened. We are proud to be a part of such a wonderful place!

His room was not cleaned within those 2 weeks and he was not seen by a physician (as required) until his second hospital visit. A paramedic called me to voice their concern about his level of care, when his sugar levels were 380. I called the complaint number to finally get management to act. Definitely find a better facility- there's a reason why there are empty rooms and no wait list.

She has become very helpful in cleaning up after herself. Her consideration for others feelings is astounding! These things are just the tip of the iceberg when trying to caption everything she has learned at Kids 'R' Kids in Concord. This was the best move we could have ever made for our child! My only issue period isn't to do with the school itself my issue is corporate charges a crazy amount for care but doesn't pay their teachers the way they should. For one child even with dss help its 163.00 a week for 4 days that is a ungodly amout if parents could afford to pay that kinda money then they wouldn't be needing help from dss. Maybe if they paid their teacher more then maybe they could keep kids in every classroom and have enough to run the school without charging outrageous amounts to care for children. You may wanna look at your pricing and evaluate it so you can keep kids enrolled before you loose quite a bit of business.

We had consistent issues with a specific teacher in the infant room. She consistently fed him 30+ minutes late, which is a big deal when they are this young. She left him to cry for 30 minutes in his crib, which, apparently, their policy is it's okay to leave them to cry for 15 minutes to "self soothe". I don't know any five month old who self soothes just being left and ignored, but regardless, he was left twice as long as their policy allows. When I called to express my concerns, his crib was moved off camera the following day. They attempted to gaslight me and said that it was "coincidental" that that happened after my complaints. Admin blew me off every time I called with concerns and "diagnosed" me with Postpartum Anxiety, which I do not have. Admin told me they have never had any complaints about this specific teacher before, which after speaking to other parents of Tutor Time, I know is not true. I pulled my son out of this daycare after three weeks. The final straw was seeing them leave his bib on after feeding him, laying him on the floor to play, and I saw him visibly being strangled by the bib on livestream. Please, for the wellbeing of your children, do not send them here.
