Caregivers chose gifts for the children. And tonight a community choir led by the church music staff presented The Messiah. This is just this month. My husband and I went to the church to pray on Thursday eve. I realize that the chapel is open…read moreduring the day. My sister was diagnosed with cancer and my husband thought maybe the chapel would be open. It couldn't hurt to check. The doors were locked and as we were about to step away a gentleman came to open the door. We explained that we thought the chapel may be closed but had come by to pray. He said he wasn't sure if anyone was there to open up but "please come in and I'll go check." We waited a moment and a lady came out. She told us the chapel isn't open to "randomly" pray. We understood. She said she "didn't want to be liable" should something happen. I have to say we are new to the area. We would like a welcoming community. Fellowship and kindness. We were both dressed well. What kind of harm would we cause? Very unfortunate that this person felt the need to speak to us that way. We did not ask the gentleman to see if the doors could be opened to the chapel. He kindly offered to check. They were conducting an ESL class. Perhaps leading with kindness would be more effective.

Very convenient -- right off of I-77. For Sunday morning mass, like 730am, no traffic, so convenient for Davidson College visitors, Lake Norman area, Cornelius, etc. Right near the I-77 exit. Very easy to get to. No traffic on Sunday AM for us.

A rather large Church that works to make itself individually significant to each congregant. They structure programs for everyone. My Sister-in-Law recently passed away. She spent three weeks between three Hospitals that were up to 25 miles away. Every day that she was in the Hospital, she was visited by one of the four ministers without fail. They were a great comfort. The mission statement of the Church says it all. "We will be the body of Christ in our Community through Worship, Fellowship, Education and Service" For example, we're getting ready to start of 16th Habitat for Humanity Project in a couple of weeks.

I am not used to Presbyterian worship but like my Lutheran roots it's liturgical so following along with the service was a breeze. My first concern when visiting a church whose order of worship is unfamiliar to me is the fear of sticking out or disrupting the service with my ignorance. When you enter Davidson College Presbyterian Church you're offered a bulletin with the order or worship included - along with the announcements and other information - that keeps you on track. The church also featured friendly parishioners, a talented choir, and clerics that didn't put me to sleep. They also had robust activities and opportunities to participate for the very old and the very young - as is expected - but also for younger adults and college students. The congregation is old - apparently dating back to around the Revolution - but the actual church building is newer, dating from the 1950s. The sanctuary and nave were very beautiful but not so ornate that they drew attention away from the service. If you're looking for a traditional protestant service then you won't be disappointed with this congregation or their house or worship.

My father was there for only 2 weeks and fell 3 times, resulting in a fractured rib. His room was not cleaned within those 2 weeks and he was not seen by a physician (as required) until his second hospital visit. A paramedic called me to voice their concern about his level of care, when his sugar levels were 380. I called the complaint number to finally get management to act. Definitely find a better facility- there's a reason why there are empty rooms and no wait list.

Families rave about the care their loved one receives from the loving staff. The in-house medical services are excellent. It's a very socially active community which the residents thrive on. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms are tiled with zero-threshold shower stalls...nicer than my own at home! This is a private pay community (no Medicaid). I work at Ranson Ridge and many of the other staff members have been there with me since we opened. We are proud to be a part of such a wonderful place!
