My family has been extremely happy with Dr. Romanelli and it was a pleasure to have been working with her staff for a few years now. We also referred several other families in the community from the past few years. But the incident that took place today left us dumbfounded and so disgusted with the managers attitude that we will never be returning to this practice. I got a call from manager who has apparently been working for 9 years at this location asking to confirm an appointment. It was not my appointment and I had to ask her to check if its regarding my wife's instead. She said yes, the appointment is for my wife. As we have family visiting, I wanted to reschedule on behalf of my wife and I was told there would be a fee. I told the manager that we have been loyal patients of this practice and waiving the fee would be appreciated. The manager rudely told me that there will be fees. I told her that I understand there is change in management and the new management might be imposing these fees and wanted her to see if she can do something about it. The manager even more rudely said that she has been working there for 9 years and said we signed some document not sure how many years ago saying we will pay the rescheduling fee as its not within 48 hours. She went on about more things in patronizing and condescending tone. At that point I realized that I was talking to someone that doesn't have any basic customer or patient management skills and told her we will be terminating this relationship. At that point I was told I am not the patient so I cannot reschedule/cancel the appointment and my wife is supposed to call them back. I was flabbergasted at couple of things: 1. Why she was talking to me for 5 minutes and arguing with a condescending tone about my wife's appointment, if I do not have the authority to cancel or change my wife's appointment 2. How a highly rated practice has had an employee of this caliber survive 9 years and become a manager ! Someone who is reading this review with more HIPAA knowledge might want to check if this is a violation as my wife never consented for me to be making/confirming/cancelling her appointments to begin with. Just wanted to reiterate that the doctors and dental hygienists are top quality at this location even after management change. But the manager is the reason why we will never be returning to this practice. A high quality practice needs high quality employees and the level was service today was abysmal and deplorable. The new owners are more than welcome to reach me directly to discuss further. I am sure the manager knows exactly who I am after what happened today.

She always takes the time to explain every procedure, why it's being done, and answers all of my questions without making me feel rushed. Andrea and Liza are also incredibly kind and welcoming--they make every visit comfortable from the moment I walk in. I originally went in because years of grinding my teeth had started chipping them away, to the point where I actually broke one. Dr. Hamdan recommended trying Botox for my TMJ and grinding. I had never had Botox before, and it honestly wasn't something I was looking to do. But if it meant protecting my teeth, I was willing to give it a try. Two weeks later, I can confidently say my grinding has decreased by about 80%. I barely clench my jaw anymore, the constant pressure and soreness are gone, and it's made a huge difference in my day-to-day comfort. As a bonus, it even slimmed my jawline a bit! Between the Botox treatment and my new crown, I'm extremely happy with the results. I couldn't recommend Dr. Hamdan and her team enough

"Doctor" Lina Hamden completely BUTCHERED my tooth. I went in for a simple surface cavity filling…read moreand left with my tooth shaved flat and to a tiny point that cut my tongue up. She numbed me with novocaine and then kept asking "does that feel ok now." I had no idea what she was doing or what "ok" meant. I'm completely numb, how am I supposed to know that I'm biting on a filling? So she just kept shaving more and more of my tooth off. When I accused her of being rushed in an email I was told that she took her time. So I guess I will say that she very thoughtfully and methodically shaved the inside of my molar flat and to a tiny sharp point. For weeks until I could get into another dentist I chewed on one side and had headaches and jaw pain. I can't believe that my bite is never going to line up and again and my tooth will feel misshapen and deformed from now on. Now the right side of my jaw clicks because my teeth don't line up. I wake up every morning in shock because I can't believe someone would do this to me. On top of that, this "dentist" and the rest of the staff seem to have no idea what's going on. When I initially came in for a cleaning I asked for an out-of-pocket quote for a mouthguard and was told it was a little over $500. Also, I asked about making an appointment for both the cavity and to fix a loose filling, but was told to only do one at a time. When I get there for my filling appointment I was told that the appointment was for both, even though I only made the appointment for the cavity filling. I was also told by the receptionist that they hadn't heard back about the night guard. Then 10 minutes later the "dentist" tells me that insurance denied it and it was about $900. On top of that, when I told them what I was originally quoted for, they basically called me a liar saying they have no idea how I would even get that information. After she ruined my tooth, she did offer for me to come back and look at it, but if this person can't even complete a routine filling without ruining my tooth, I would have to be crazy to go back and let her cause more damage. I had to go to another dentist who was absolutely shocked at how horrible of a job she did. He did his best to smooth it out, but it's still jagged and catches my tongue. On top of that, they billed my insurance and billed me and then wouldn't even reply to my email when I told them they owed me a reimbursement.

My new dentist did a very poor job addressing my problems. My new fillings are rough to the touch and sharper than my chipped tooth was previously. One of the main reasons I went was not addressed and the tooth next to it was drilled instead. On top of that the dental hygienist used a slew of terms that are not even dental terms to describe my teeth telling me they would fall out by the time I was an age I pretty much already am. I have considerable dental work and this is by far the worst I've gotten. Probably will find someone else to redo the work I had done. Honestly atrocious experience, I do not recommend at all and will be changing dentists.
