Awful dishonest people. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM. They stole money from me and when they failed to deliver the work, refused to refund it to me. They have the most DISRESPECTFUL staff in the world, especially a front desk person named Stephanee. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! read more

Very professional and informative; their website holds a wealth of information and provides a good starting point. The boutique atmosphere caters to all clients' specific needs. Very knowledgable international accounting firm which quickly assessed my plans to transition to the United States and saved me countless hours of research. Meet the Business Owner: Mark S.

Mark attended the University of Western Ontario, School of Business Administration, in London, Ontario, Canada where he obtained an undergraduate degree in Business Administration. Then moving back to his family home of Toronto, Ontario, he attended the Graduate School of Business Administration at York University, where he obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration, and concurrently qualified as a Chartered Accountant, licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario. After eighteen years of public practice, Mark qualified as a Certified Public Accountant, and is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and the State of Florida. Starting his public accounting career in the tax department of a major global firm and gaining experience in international taxation, Mark has been a sole practitioner and partner in several firms to date, specializing in taxation - specifically in the international forum.

I had an awful experience with Mark Serbinski. Unfair billing practices. I contacted him to obtain a consultation regarding my cross-boarder tax situation. We met three times and spoke over the phone twice. After our 5th meeting I received a statement. The time stated in the statement was three times more than we actually spent meeting and talking over the phone. Same day they charged my credit card this astronomical amount without giving me a chance to review the statement. I requested the firm a breakdown of dates and time and it turned out that the time for each appointment or phone call was almost doubled or tripled (I was billed for 9 hours instead of actual time of 3.4 hours). When I asked for clarifications, Mark Serbinski claimed that these are charges for time beyond our meetings he was making a research. This was not true that he spent all this time doing a research, because during our meeting and phone conversations we discussed our issues on a very high level. The information he provided was very general without any specific details, the kind of information the professional of his designation should have known without conducting any extensive additional research. Before I was charged Mark Serbinski never mentioned that he was spending additional time doing a research. He also never notified me that there might be additional charges for the time spent beyond our appointments. Instead he retrospectively charged me for the time he claims he spent on my issue. There were even an overcharge for the initial consultation, which were supposed to be $125. Instead they charge their normal rate of $385. This is unfair billing practices. He also refused to talk to me and clarify how he came up with the amount of time spent and what exactly he has been working on. Moreover he retrospectively charged my credit card for an amount of time he came up with. Mark Serbinski is a very poor representation of the profession. I am very happy I found it out before delegating him my finances. This is not a way to do business. I reported him to the Institute of CPA and BBB. STAY AWAY. There should be an option for Zero stars. Mark Serbinski should be in jail. He just charged my credit card Over $10,000 for 2 phone calls!!! (he's done this to others). He offered Zero advice on the phone calls and has Very little knowledge of cross boarder accounting. His website and articles are obviously written by someone else. I have recorded the 2 phone calls if anyone wants proof of his Zero knowledge base. Happy to share. ***He will ask you to enter your credit card information into his system Before you can "retain him". BEWARE: He can and WILL charge you whatever he wants for any reason he wants at any time he wants. He is a liar and a thief. Please go elsewhere. Ugh. read more

Paid or I should say WASTED over $3200 for cross border services, they did my Canadian for 1200 and the USA filing for $2000, for a poor quality taxes, poor customer service, many mistakes on fillings, misleading refunds. Totally ripoff!!!!!! read more
