I approached Daniel with quite the mess - I had been self-employed for years and not filed taxes in that time. I'd changed partners, employers, and generally not bothered to track any of this stuff for YEARS. Daniel took what I can only call a completely unreasonable situation and untangled it, all while clearly laying out my options, the likely outcomes, and walked me through everything required step-by-step. I can virtually guarantee that your situation is simpler than mine was. If Daniel could take care of my tax nightmare, he can easily help you. :) On the personal side, he's an incredibly patient, clear, intellectual who doesn't think twice about going above and beyond for his clients. I literally could not imagine a better accountant! read more

When I was planning to incorporate, I knew I had to get advice from an accountant. I reached out to Daniel after seeing the reviews online. I usually take reviews with a grain of salt, but after that initial discussion and having Daniel as my accountant for over 2 years now, I found all the great reviews on him to be true. Aside from answering questions I had, he helped make the process of incorporating so much smoother than if I had done it on my own. Tax filing is also worry-free as he makes sure my corporate and personal taxes are correct and no detail is missed. I'm really glad I got to know about Daniel. read more

Daniel Toma is simply the best accountant that there is! He is extremely knowledgeable. I have not seen anything that he cannot navigate. I can't say enough about Daniel's support to his clients. Daniel Toma is a phenomenal accountant who helped me navigate the terrain of self employment. One year back, I had just started my own corporation and was quite lost in all matters of accounting. After having hired another accountant before, I can say people like Daniel are very hard to come by. He is professional, courteous and quick to respond on any inquiry. I recently started contracting and thought I could handle everything myself... boy was I wrong. I contacted Daniel and he made time to see me that very day. Even at our initial appointment he took time to take me through getting incorporated and has been in constant contact setting everything up, I'd of honestly have been lost without his guidance. He has been on the ball from the very minute we first spoke and I highly recommend his services for any, like myself, that are unsure of the Canadian tax processes and want to optimize their return. read more

"Phone bill about two G's flat / No need to worry, my accountant handles that" Being self-employed and preferring to have a professional to handle my taxes, I've dealt with my fair share of accountants/bookkeepers. And by far, Daniel is the best. He is prompt and accountable (harhar) with his correspondence. I prefer communicating via email and Daniel usually responds within hours - making sure to address any concerns and clearly shows his excellent tax knowledge and his understanding of my tax situation. In fact, he made a couple of suggestions to help lessen my tax burden in the future -- things that never occurred to me... and were never brought up previous tax professionals seeming more interested to get your taxes done (sometimes by a subcontractor) and move onto the next client. Also, it's nice having a tech-savvy accountant in Daniel -- I didn't have to explain why my files 'weren't opening', I didn't need to 'follow-up' and we didn't need to kill a forest with hardcopies of everything. Most everything was handled over email/cloud storage and we only met to handle some unavoidable paperwork at his Yonge & Eglington office. In fact, even our meeting was productive as Daniel really took the time to understand my situation. On top of being thorough and compassionate, his rates are reasonable and fair price for the peace of mind and excellent advice he provided. This was the first year that I went to Daniel with my taxes and I will definitely be working with him in the future. read more

I found Daniel Toma's page via Yelp as I was trying to find a new accountant. I called and told him about my situation : I needed my 2015 taxes done as soon as possible as my husband and I were trying to get a pre-approval from a mortgage. He told me it was no problem, we dropped my documents to him and he was so accommodating to make this happen so quickly. He is very quick to answer emails, and very helpful in making our taxe return the very best. I would highly recommend him and I am looking forward in doing my 2016 taxes with him next year ! Thank you for being so quick and accommodating to us Daniel! read more
