This salon does not refund customers or make things right when they mess up. Niki, the owner, even asked me not to post a negative review knowing they were in the wrong. I agreed at the time, as long as they fixed the issue -- but they didn't. I came in for a consultation and haircut, asked for a low-maintenance, dimensional balayage with a blended root (showed a photo), and left with what looked like a bad grow-out: harsh yellow highlights on top and solid blonde on the ends -- exactly what I specifically asked not to have. I was never told that the look I am aiming for could not be achieved. Niki admitted the stylist, Lauren, should've added lowlights and wasn't sure why it wasn't done. She refused to add the highlights and said it required an appointment, which I would have to pay for. She toned it, but the problem was far from fixed. I also pointed out my haircut looked choppy to Lauren, and she casually said the bottom was shorter, but didn't bother correcting it. I now have to spend another $500 elsewhere to fix it. Mistakes happen -- but how a business handles them matters. Unfortunately, this salon avoids accountability and clearly doesn't prioritize their clients' satisfaction. I'm beyond happy to find such an amazing beautiful salon with seriously talented hair stylist! They are super pro at hair extensions, coloring and hair styling. Their new location at Seminole is super cute and very spacious with beautiful decor! My hair stylist Luci was such a pro she listened to my needs & wishes for my hair and she delivered an outstanding beautiful job on my hair! Im very happy with my low lights! 1 star to not be tossed aside as an angry customer: went in January 4th and spent better part of day going full blonde. Very aware of the difficult process given my natural hair is dark brown. $700 after tip and a couple promotional videos for them later I thought it looked ok (you know how you never really know in the chair)...3 days later and one wash (following to a T their guidance on washing and care) I found some terrible results pictured here. Orange streaks, burnt looking, scalp pain, you name it (not to mention a ruined blouse stained with the bleach)...So I reached out to the owner with these pictures for her sake the way I'd let a deli know their recent meat didn't taste right. Here starts why this review exists: She more or less led with "we give no refunds!" which is fine, it's a business and buyer beware, etc. (for the record I never asked for a refund)...but she then offered to make it look better "see what I can do" at no cost if I drove back over Saturday morning at 10:30 am. (Not the salon's fault but I live an hour away so a big commitment). I made the trip, open minded, not bitter, calmed down (even though we all know what's it's like to dislike how we look for periods of time). Upon arriving the owner was very disappointing in her approach to a mistake made on her behalf. She came across upset I had actually come. She dismissed the mistake itself and complained that my hair was the issue and not her salon. Her offer for me to come in at 10:30 on a Saturday seems to have been a token gesture as a way to seem caring. $700 and now 10 hours of my life I have received the opposite of value from this place. I would encourage EVERYONE in the greater Tampa bay region to think twice before going here. Call me old fashioned but I believe If a salon doesn't think they can make the hair look the way the customer may want it to, they have an obligation to inform the customer. They are the professional. If the customer kicks and screams and demands they try it anyway ,that is on the customer...but do not take their money, and then hide behind the customers' starting point. So incredibly disappointing!!! I did hair extensions and I was my stylist 1st paying client. I was charged a gut wrenching amount for install an wasn't even allowed to keep the 2 pkgs of hair I purchased. I was charged 3 times as much as a qualified professional who specializes in extensions. The quality was also a mess. I needed to received a new install due to the fact that it looked like a spider web on my head. I'm literally sick to my stomach with the whole experience. When I mentioned the extreme price variance no negotiation or any conversation was had. I was a weekly client to include weekly wash and blow out, color and move ups. I tip well and you would think they would have had a conversation to maintain a good customer. I don't write reviews unless I experience great or awful service and I hope this helps someone to do your due diligence in searching around before trusting that you aren't getting totally overcharged for not even the most quality outcome. read more

Niki was great! I have recently moved from PGH to Chicago, and I had been so busy with the life change that I was long overdue for a haircut. That + wanting to just have my hair trimmed / reshaped as I was growing my pixie out, I was worried about who I would go to. So I put it off in Chicago. Then I came to Florida for vacation and looked around online for a place nearby, where I could book online and who had good photos of their work. That's how I found Niki! The hardest part about going to her was realizing that she was in a room at the Salon Lofts! I had never encountered a setup like that but everything was so nice. Her space was clean and inviting, she had coffee and water to offer, and she was really easy to talk to. Plus, she did an excellent job on my haircut and her prices were very reasonable for a salon stylist. Her weekday hours are in the evening so it was a convenient place to go for a quick haircut from a quality stylist while on vacation. read more
