I've always loved BLB luxury for Tans and teeth whitening. Ive been coming since they opened the original location in 2020. Today was able to treat myself to a lash service with Avery in preparation for my birthday weekend. As someone who never gets their lashes done I was very nervous about achieving the result that I wanted without being too heavy and hoping that I could paint the right idea of what I wanted. I asked for a wet lash doll eye look and requested long middles tapering out into short lashes on the outsides as in a side sleeper and don't like the cat eye look. I didn't want anything too full (although volume and mega volume are in style nowadays it's not prefernce for myself. Avery absolutely understood my concerns and nailed the look I was going for! I loveeeee my lashes and they're exactly what I envisioned wanting. I appreciated her attention during the consultation and how gentle and relaxing the process was. It was so natural and beautiful. I got it done the day before I left for Barbados, this was partly a work trip as I am a wedding photographer so I put it to the test I was so nervous because I would have two grueling travel days plus a full day of wearing camera straps and sweating, and it held up beautifully I was shocked (but not really) it lasted so much longer than my trip even with swimming in the ocean a few times! This was my first time getting a spray tan. This place did take me last minute. Stephanie was very sweet and informative on the process. She took extra time to explain everything. I did not realize you should wear loose fitting clothing and no shoes only flip-flops so I had to buy one of their $20 dresses to get home so I didn't ruin it. They also had to give me disposable flip-flops to wear home. I didn't realize this would be such a process. You can't get anything wet until the allotted time. Not even wash your hands without ruining. That night and next day I could tell I had color but had some spots that are darker than others and I look kind of orange. I did get the darkest color just FYI. I would recommend this place for tanning, they have a great process! The total cost was $100. That was with all the added upgrades that she recommended and buying one of their dresses. It's been 2 days and I'm already starting to fade even though I followed the directions on what and what not to do. Also, my feet turned out whiter than expected. Stephanie followed up and the manager did offer to bring me back in to touch up, but I did not have time before my event. This is a great place but I don't think I'll spray tan again. I'm a Ginger - with the typical pale skin, yet, I love the look of bronze skin ... but more than 30 minutes of sun turns me a nice shade of fuchsia and that's never a good look, nor a healthy one so I mostly get a Spray Tan for the desired look. I travel a lot and have been to hundreds of Tanning Salons across the globe, experiencing very good service to some places so awful I walked out before I even started. Needed a tan here in St Pete's, searched the reviews and was lucky to get in on a cancellation. From the moment you walk in you're greeted by the owner Brittany. She provided a detailed review of what coloring would work best for my skin type and how "her formula" (yes, she's mixing it herself just for my skin type and color!) will add color to me over specific timelines. She asked about any skin conditions, (dry, flakey, oily, etc) and added moisturizers to the spray to aid in helping that condition. Impressive! Brittany walks me into the spray room, reviews her procedure and she begins the process of protecting areas that shouldn't get tan (nails, calloused areas like heals and palms) and 'dresses' the skin with a formula for best absorption before applying the tanning product. Now I've been to a LOT of tanning services and NO ONE has taken the time and covered the minutiae of the steps I've just outlined as thoroughly and with detail as Brittany did! The Tanning procedure was easy and she verbally walks/talks you through her process as she's doing it. Once finished, she removes the protected gels/lotions she applied to the areas that shouldn't look tan ... (if you've had this done before, you know you're the one that's removing these protective barriers and not the Clinician - this is a step above!) Just as I'm ready to dress - she stops me saying there's another step ... "Another step" I ask, to which I find out I'm going to be "dusted" to help lock in the tanning spray which helps reduce any absorption by my clothes ... this is a first for me - I'm impressed even more. While I'm paying, I get a "Gift Bag" with an After Tan Extender/Moisturizer, a body bar, a card with After Tan Directions for the best long term results and a "Thank You" card. TELL ME YOU'RE TANNING CLINICIAN DOES ALL THAT ... and ... does all that for a ridiculously fair price! ! ! There are option to scent the spray and even add CBD for a relaxing option, along with Express Tan (shorter tan times for those who can't go 8 to 10 hours before showering) and more. I HIGHLY recommend Brittany's BLB Spray Tans. She's options for Spray Tanning that make her one of the best I've ever experienced. Thank you Brittany! Brittaney was incredibly kind and professional, walked me through the entire process and answered all my questions. I did the express spray tan and waited 6 hours to get the deepest color, it came out beautiful! There was no bad tanner smell or orange tint. I did teeth whitening there today. Extremely professional, got me scheduled quickly, called right back. Was in room with another client, which surprised me a little but was fine. You have to be able to sit still for about 1 hour so be prepared. The results were exactly what I wanted with no side effects. The technician acknowledged my request for "not too artificial white" and applied accordingly. Don't plan on eating after for at least 2 hours. I thought for the attention I rec'd and the great result, the price was good. It seemed high when I asked, but it takes some work to do what she did in 1 1/2 hours. Best part is product is plant-based, so no harsh chemicals, fear of swallowing bad stuff or dealing myself with messy strips, trays, etc. Totally worth it. read more
