Moving is…read morereally hard, especially when you love your stylist and you know you're going to have to find a new one, because a 15 hour car ride every eight weeks just isn't possible or sane. But I knew I'd be moving to Buffalo, I knew that it has a large enough population to have a variety of salons with extensive services and I figured it shouldn't be too hard. The good: Very clean, well-taken care of salon, and lots of natural light, pleasant music Off-street parking Decent/Reasonable pricing (of course, you often get what you pay for...) I went to Salon Le Beau twice - once in December and again in March of 2013, I wasn't happy the first time with cut/color, but I figured it was just part of moving pains & adjusting to a new stylist, so I tried it again seven weeks later, and was even more disappointed. Making an appointment is a bit of an act of diplomacy, it always seems that they want to rush you off the phone as soon as possible. I know that running a salon can be a challenge, trying to balance the phones while clients are waiting for services, but why would you be rude to a new client, a new source of income? Their staff, with the exception of the owner, isn't really interested in what they're doing. Pretty distracted and not well trained. For example, I gave the stylist my hair color formula (Redken - the same stuff they use at their salon) and instructions. I knew there might be a problem when my stylist said "wow, I've never seen anything like this before!" (I should've listened to the my inner voice that said "run away! far away!). Yeah, my hair color came out two shades darker than it really should be. I still can't understand how that happened, since I had given her the formula. Both of the cuts were very unimpressive as well - not horrible, but along the lines of "Why am I coming to a salon for this?". On the second visit, despite giving a photo of the new style I wanted, I somehow ended up walking out looking the same as I walked in, but I guess I had less split ends... The time I did spend in there though, I noticed most of the other clients who were happy with their styles had pretty cookie-cutter hair styles and colors. Maybe it's great if you're just looking for a basic trim/cut/color or simple highlighting, but anything beyond the average, or a wedding...go someplace else. Won't be going back, despite the fact they're one of the few Redken salons in the area.

The waiting room was nice and pleasant, with a couple chairs to accommodate patients and their family members. I was pleasantly greeted by the secretary upon entering the business. There are coloring books and crayons for kids on a small table in the waiting room.

Otherwise, the gentleman inside was very nice, I told him what I was there for, he pulled the package right out from under the counter & gave it to me. I believe the woman working there was the owner. I am unsure if she possibly has dementia or was simply having a bad day. She did not seem too interested in assisting me, possibly due to my work attire. She was curt and disinterested, however, in her defense, there was clearly a touch of mental illness or dementia confusion. Go elsewhere.

They only had one of the bracelets we were considering, but we decided that the one Cameleon had was best for what we thought our friend would need. They had a pretty good selection. I'm glad we were able to check this off the list without having to go to too many stores. Perfect! The employee working was very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely come back. I like that the store was spacious and clean.

So this store…read morehas lots of items from really low prices to more expensive items such as wigs that are $600 plus. It's over crowded though. I like the people there. Everyone is polite whenever I go there. They'll also make deals with you on pricing. I'm a natural negotiator so I'm always at least proposing a deal. . Again though it's crowded they need more space or to revamp the landscape of the store. That's my only complaint. I have a lady line coming out soon and I plan on making this store one of my distributing locations. It's all about the deals!

Alright, I admit it, I'm obsessed with this place and no (before you pull my long, dyed hair like…read moreone of my coworkers did) I don't have weave. The people who work there are super nice, they are open decently late (9 or 10pm I think most nights), the place is very clean and they have an obscene amount of security cameras for those nervous about the area (I live not too far from here but this area is a little more shady than mine - during the day I have no worries, but it's not a good idea to be walking around alone at night; come with a friend and park close). They have hair stuff SO cheap, and it is pretty much the same stuff you would buy at a department store or at the mall but at a fraction of the price. They have "knockers" (the figure 8 ponytailers with a bead on either end) for $1 a pack - there are like 8 pairs on a pack, they don't stretch out quick and they have any color you could want, even leopard print, neons and metallics! I got a load of leopard earrings here for $1 a pair, in like ten colors. They just have a HUGE selection - beads (also very good for crafting - they even have wooden ones), barrettes, regular ponytailers, hair clips, pins, all types of rollers including those popular bendy ones, etc. They also, of course, have weave, discount sneakers, belts, etc, but I come for the accessories. They also sell a pretty decent generic brand of lipgloss and nailpolish that is very cheap, doesn't wreak like toxic waste and doesn't make me break out. I usually try to buy stuff either used or made in the US (or from another country with good labor laws) but frankly it's pretty hard to even find this kind of hair stuff not made overseas now that 99% of plastic stuff is made in Asia, so why pay more for it elsewhere?
