If you're waiting on a pick-up order for food from Woodstock, this is a great choice to browse. Something I found unique is that in the back of the store you can find them cultivating small plants and sunning air plants. There is an assortment of candles and wax-melts to choose from. I bought the avocado and sea-salt 16oz candle ($21.99) which is a great deal because most candles at that size will cost $30-$40. For comparison purposes, I bought a 14oz (396g) hand poured candle from a local fair trade store recently and it was $30 so Lotus Candles is a very well priced store. I started using my smaller candle (6oz size) and I love the avocado and sea-salt scent. The wooden wick is also different. I received as a gift a small avocado and sea salt scented candle with a wooden wick (6oz size). I also received as a gift a champagne toast wax melt along with a wax melt infuser where the wax melt is placed on top of to melt. I tried the wax melt with the infuser container and I've also started burning my 6oz gifted candle. Both scents are lovely with the avocado/sea salt scent being a little more subtle (light) than the champagne toast. SERVICE -- Excellent. My friend and I were greeted by Gwen upon arrival. Her older daughter was also in the store hanging out. If you know me, I hardly give 5 stars unless I've been to the business multiple times where I have gotten a well-rounded experience or I just had an exceptional experience. They actually sell a collection of items from various small businesses selling things from body care to glass decor but I am smitten with their candle scents. I had a lot of fun sniffing everything down their aisles but settled on a sweet rain candle (reminds me of fresh peonies) and a juniper breeze candle (some kind of woodsy floral) and cannot wait to burn them! Now that I'm out of the store I also can't stop thinking about their grandma's brownies candle that smelled dangerously like rich, fresh baked brownies. They told me they have lots of small batches of fragrances they like to trial so this is definitely a store you can frequent for fresh new scents. I would recommend and come again!
