At first, I thought they were closed as there was a sign on the window regarding their vacation. Luckily, they were still open one more day -- the last day before their vacation (they are closed until June 26th but call first). The place is quite casual inside. And the shopping strip it's in is not the classiest. Ignore all this. The gal working the front of the house -- who was the greeter and server -- couldn't have been more friendly. Plus, although not Korean herself, knew all about each of the dishes to answer everyone's questions. She was quite patient and pleasant. A real asset. They had a number of lunch specials -- along with their regular menu. After some browsing, we both decided to get their bento box lunch special. Each box gives you your choice of meats and a choice of two vegetables, rice, and two pancakes. We weren't sure exactly what everything was, but we were game to try. My husband began his meal with a sake flight. There were three different cold sakes in the sampler -- one was plum flavored, one was pomegranate, and one was black raspberry. I had a small taste of each. The plum was quite sweet (my favorite) and the raspberry reminded me of Manischewitz. His favorite was the raspberry one. For his bento box, he got the spicy pork -- and he said it was really spicy -- along with broccoli and shredded radish kimchi. I got their beef along with white radish and bean sprouts. The veggies were served cold. Each meat was hot and served over crunchy airy "noodles". The two small pancakes are served on the side in a separate dish. My beef was sliced thin, tender and nicely seasoned. I'm not sure what spices they used. And the bit of sauce with the meat was tasty mixed into the puffy cold noodles underneath. The cold white radish was cut into crunchy cubes (at first, I thought it was tofu) and lightly marinated like a slightly sweet vinegar. The hot rice was white rice mixed with different veggies like pieces of squash and carrots, etc. and not "fried" as expected. The bean sprouts were also cold as they were supposed to be - these were just okay. The thin pancakes were quite good. The bento box doesn't look that filling at first glance but was more than enough for a satisfying lunch. And we were happy with our choices. Another item that had sounded intriguing on their menu was their house made dumplings. I'd like to try this next time. They have all the traditional Korean dishes, as well, with various banchan for those looking for that type of experience. And everyone dining when we were there remarked at the authenticity of each of their dishes. We aren't that familiar with this cuisine but are having fun expanding our knowledge. One of the first things we said here, however, was that friends of ours who love Korean cuisine and eat it often would have loved this restaurant. Wish it was closer so we could come here with them.

My partner is gluten free and this place is great for any gf/intolerant people looking for a full meal. The server was very helpful and super nice! The restaurant is always clean and the service is amazing whether we eat in or take food togo. Definitely will be back soon for kimchi.

Noodles with Jjajam sauce (already dug into).

First time eating Korean. I got the Jjajam noodles, my wife got the short ribs. To our surprise, the short ribs came with shareable, refillable veggies. Loved the kimchi, spicy cucumber, white radish, and bean sprouts. The Jjajam noodles were excellent. Definitely an American sized portion, but enough sauce to keep the flavor and the veggies filled out the meal. Service was great! While the plaza may make you think twice, inside is perfectly clean and. The ambiance was good.

    Spicy squid with banchan (included).

Let me start by saying, the decor leaves a lot to be desired. But ultimately, what you leave with is a sense of desiring more food. The place is not fancy at all, and quite honestly the plaza is a little sketchy. What's amazing, is the food and the service. I feel like I have a new Korean grandma. I'm not sure if she's the owner, or waitress, but i will tell you she's the best and her suggestions are spot on. This outing wasn't just dinner, but it was a lesson and it was heartfelt. I really felt like we were eating in someone's kitchen, and not a restaurant. She educated us on what to get, how to eat it, and how to drink our drinks with what?? It was amazing. All of her suggestions were amazing. She suggested the Soju (which is kind of like a sake, but flavored) and we opted for the lychee with the Korean beer. She taught us how to do a Korean bomb, with the two of them. Score! I had the spicy squid with the banchan, and she was like let me put that order in now because it goes so good with the beer. At first , I was like "wait, that's my dish and now I gotta share?" I am so glad she did that because honest it's a huge dish. The squid is the BEST, most tender squid I have ever had. My husband had the Kalbi ribs and again so freaking tender?? How do they do it?? It's amazing! Our friends had the rice bowl, with the crispy rice that was amazing, and the seafood stew! The little Korean grandma stirred in the rice bowl for our friend and it was so touching to see that sort of detail. Again , all Of it was perfection. Our son had the dinner bento box and he absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend and suggest everything off that menu. Will be back soon!

We have visited a few times now and each time it has been consistently good. I can't begin to get into the whole "how authentic" it is or isn't, since I'm not Korean and have never been to Korea, but I can judge that our food has been great. My wife has kimchi stew and I have gotten the rice in a bowl dish. Both are really great. Staff is very accommodating and friendly, wife is gluten free. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Great food, great service. Loved the Beef Kimbap, dumplings, short ribs with all the sides, and the rice on a hot stone bowl. It's a must try.

Meeting family from north and south so we met here in there middle... and now we will have to plan to be here again! Good was so flavorful! We got the stone pot ride with beef- amazing! Even just the chicken platter was filled with yummmm! All the veggies and light bento with beef were so delicious! We had so much help from Rachel in making decisions. Definitely recommend! The plaza that this restaurant is located in doesn't do fanfare, but the restaurant itself is so clean, smells good, and is well-maintained. But honestly, the food is where they shine!

Shrimp fried rice, sliced beef and I think bi bi bim?
    Lisa M.

We had shrimp fried rice, sliced beef and I think bi bi bim? Either way it was all very flavorful, hot and delicious. There was more food than we could eat. The server was very busy but efficient. This goes in my book of secret gems. I will be back! Mmmm mmm mmmm!!

Rice in a stone bowl (Bibimbap) and Seoul Garden Beef Special and a great assortment of side dishes (Banchan)
    Clari C.

This is the closest korean restaurant for me and I was hoping to really like it but sadly the food lacked flavor. I really enjoyed having all the side dishes but I personally make a better Bulgogi than what I had in here.

    Yum!
    Cindi D.

So happy to have this authentic Korean restaurant here! Everything is very, very good! Always look forward to going back. We always plan on taking leftovers but never have any. Highly recommend! And the service is pleasant. Try the Korean black raspberry wine!

It wasn't quite the ambiance we were seeking for a Saturday night family dinner, but the food made up for it. We ordered edamame and gyoza appetizers, both of which were tasty, though the edamame could have used a bit more salt. For the main courses: The portions were large, so they are shareable, and the prices were reasonable. One daughter ordered pho w rice noodles and chicken. It was light, but nicely seasoned. The other daughter ordered the Tropical Dragon roll. It was large, fresh, unique and full of flavor. She loved it! Hubby and I ordered two dishes to share: Exotic Eggplant (added Pork), It was slightly spicy, but delicious. The only was that the eggplant skin was tough. Usually Asian eggplant skin (when cooked is soft and edible. This was tough and chewy, so we had to spit it out. Low Mein w Chicken-- also delicious and not greasy. Overall we really enjoyed it and would certainly go back, but most likely for takeout or for a more casual meal out.

They had a whole shrimp with the tail still on wrapped in a spring roll wrapper, plus a few julienned carrots and deep fried. The shrimp was overcooked and lacked that umami Vietnamese flavor. I expected something more traditional like minced shrimp with garlic, diced onions, carrots, fish sauce, and maybe mung bean noodles for texture and to help with moisture, then deep-fried for that crisp bite and perfectly cooked filling. The crispiness of the wrapper was on point! The pork banh mi was better. The roll was soft with a nice crispy exterior, and the pork was well-seasoned with plenty of pickled carrots and cilantro. I liked the fresh jalapeños instead of pickled ones. However, it missed a creamy binder like mayo, garlic chilli paste, and the use of a sub roll instead of a traditional baguette threw off the bread-to-meat ratio -- too much bread for the filling. Overall, it was okay for the price, but it didn't quite hit the mark for a classic banh mi. Vietnamese cooking is near and dear to my heart. It's one of my favorite cuisines to eat and make. If you've never tried Vietnamese cooking and live local, I would suggest giving this place a try. One thing to note, credit card fees are added to the bill. This time i paid in cash.
