It takes a lot to galvanize this copywriter to write a review. In this instance, I'd like to give a…read moreshout-out to Creative Circle, a Toronto recruitment firm that specializes in my field, marketing and advertising. Shortly after I replied to a copywriter position posted on a job board, I received an email from Gillian, one of the talent scouts at Creative Circle. I was asked to drop in for a one-on-one, and enjoyed my interview process. Gillian knew the ad business, as she had worked agency-side. While the job I had applied for was filled, Gillian said she would keep in touch. And surprise, she did! While the agency biz is crying for web developers and motion graphic designers, it's a much drier place for copywriters--hey everybody can write a sentence, but not everybody can code a snippet. That said, when a copywriting gig did come up, and Gillian felt I was suitable, she would call and ask if I was available for the short-list. Thanks to Creative Circle, I recently ended up with a writing gig at SapeintNitro. Once you've got a record--a good record--the calls come more frequently. So kudos--overall, a definitely positive experience for me.

I had quite a bit of stationery to be printed for my wedding, including my invitations and RSVP,…read moreand went to this location of the The Printing House (160 Bloor E.) for all my orders, and I have to say that Paul and his team are AMAZING! Paul the Manager and his team were very diligent in getting back to me via email with quotes, and offering guidance and suggestions where I needed them, and the jobs I had done were completed in a timely manner. I'm pretty sure I pestered them to no end, and they still got back to me quickly. Everything was printed perfectly and impeccably. I can't recommend this location enough for anyone's printing needs. Thanks so much TPH @ 160 Bloor East!

I just stopped by this place to print my resume today, needed something a little fancy. I have used…read moreTPH many times for the company I work for so I inquired if they did small things like resumes. The guy at the front tells me yes but usually the client's timelines don't match with their production schedule. I asked how long it takes he said, "It can be an hour or two. You can go to the internet cafe on isabella and yonge. It's just that I can't guaranteed it can be done to meet your deadline" He never even asked me what my deadline was; i needed it for Friday. The fact that he didn't want to take my business for some reason and just assumed i was in a rush turned me off so much. I found another printer to do the job for me and will also using them as the printing vendor for work-related communication products, banners, etc. going forward.
