I was new to chiropractic treatment and I am starting to get some relief. Dr P is so kind and gentle and caring.

Every time I walk away in better shape than when I came in whether it be the doctors, the PAs, the PT clinic on site, or the PT technicians that helped me get back to normal life, it's some of the best service one can receive.

I haven't heard from his office and I can't go after him for malpractice. I am now handicapped for the rest of my life because of his carelessness. I can no longer do the things I enjoy in my life and it's causing me major depression. They still have not followed up with me to see how I'm doing or if I need anything. Then I see they comment on all the positive reviews but as they have done me for the last year, ignore the negative reviews. Geoffrey Wright is just an example of a doctor who thinks he's God. No matter the outcome, he can do no wrong. He messed me up for life but he'll continue to collect his money and move on with his life without any remorse while I continue to suffer for the rest of mine. A surgeon is supposed to be there for their patients. They don't just perform a procedure on them and leave them be. This is my knee today, a year later.

This isn't something I ever would have considered earlier in my life--not for any particular reason, I just wouldn't have done it. However, for the past four months, I have been working with Dennis Bueso, MA, RD (Clinical/Sports Dietitian), and the experience has been nothing like I expected. Being very overweight, I anticipated someone taking charge of the conversation and lecturing me on what I 'better' start doing. I think TV gave me a twisted idea of how these things go. Thankfully, it hasn't been like that at all. Our conversations are excellent and open. Mr. Bueso is incredibly 'chill' and immediately sets you at ease; it feels like a normal, back-and-forth conversation between two people. He is great at following up and is just a genuinely easy person to talk to. Since starting, I've seen amazing results. For those who know what A1C is, mine had been double what it should be for over five years. In just four months, I've brought it down to exactly where it's supposed to be. I give myself credit for controlling my diet, but Dennis has been instrumental in helping me understand what to watch and work on. In addition to the blood work, I've lost over 30 pounds in that same timeframe. I definitely want to give props and thanks to Mr. Bueso. If your doctor has recommended a dietitian, just do it. I worried about how it would go, but those worries were unnecessary. It has been a great experience. We only get one shot at life; I may have started this battle late, but I'm determined to battle to the end. Thank you if you read all my ramblings. :) Thank you again Dennis. Tim

Review of expert diagnosis and treatment of knee injury by Dr. Edward Lambert at OrthoVirginia on…read moreFirst Colonial in Va Beach. Dr. Lambert took great care in examining my injured knee, withdrawing fluid (62cc), ordering an MRI, analyzing those results, providing expert diagnosis and providing a treatment plan. Couldn't be happier with the medical care and service. My knee is healing well and I am back to running - short segments - and I believe I will return to full abilities (for a guy 71! haha) in the next month or so. For a little background, a previous doctor at a different practice ordered an X-ray, did a brief examination, told me it was useless to drain the fluid, gave me a cortisone shot and told me I'd be lucky if that helped for 6 months and that he'd see me in 6 months to talk knee replacement. My running friends said, "Go see Dr. Lambert." As noted above, Dr. Lambert went the extra mile and the MRI results showed there was nothing torn - not MCL, not ACL, not meniscus - thus no surgery was required, but that I did come dangerously close to doing so and should slowly rehab my knee according to his tried-and-true Walk To Run Program and I should regain full use, range of motion and ability within a month or two. That's huge difference! Huge! If you're a runner, you know.

I was referred to Jordan-Young Institute by a friend who was convinced they changed her life. From the first phone call to make an appointment, to my second follow up appointment with Dr. Babbington, I am satisfied. My first appointment was scheduled as soon as possible, after sharing my backstory and what I was looking for. When I arrived for my appointment, the receptionists were very friendly, and told me to check in on the tablet. A super convenient, easy way to check in, pay your copay and get your insurance on file. Once I met with Dr. Babbington, I knew I was in good hands. His expertise and passion for what he does made me feel confident that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. He went over my prior imagining, talked possibilities, scheduled an injection and a follow up, and made a game plan. On my follow up appointment, Dr. Babbington and I had to talk about the surgical options that I have to think about. Knowing one of them is tough to get covered by insurance, he said he will do whatever he can do to try and can get it covered, so that I can have the best possible procedure and a better future ahead. I'm looking forward to seeing how the procedure goes.

They were not. Got into an exam room 45min after scheduled appointment time. First nurse wanted my pharmacy. I started looking up address and she quickly said just give me the road. Like I was impeding on her time after I was waiting an hour (45min plus being there 15min before appt.). What do you think would happen if I just said Route 17. You know my scripts aren't going to the one Walgreens I want. She's picking one of the other 3 on the road. Shortly thereafter got in for X-rays. That X-ray tech was pleasant and only bright spot of the visit. Finally saw Dr. Aldrich 1:15 after my scheduled appointment. He tried his best not to rush but I can tell he was over seeing patients that day. Was short. Hard to understand. He said to get MRI and if nothing is found otherwise we'll do therapy. Hate sports medicine doctors falling back to therapy if they can't figure out the problem in the first visit. Anyway, he never even asked if I had questions and was out the door while finishing his last sentence. Yes I did have questions. Got none answered. Told to wait in room. Was expecting him to come back so not a huge deal. Instead an older nurse with short gray curly hair came back instead. Barged in saying I need to tell her where to send MRI script. I am new to area and not used to the Drs office sending the script to a place as opposed to the patient getting a script in hand. She just glared and gave me eyes as I scrambled to see if I could find a place associated with my PCP, took my insurance, was close to my home, and not a hospital where sick people are - perhaps an imaging center. She was impatient and didn't explain anything. To the point my young child said something to me after. I just gave a nearby hospital that she said was good and hoped for the best. It's Hampton Roads. It's not like the population doesn't turnover frequently. Then as we left the exam room, she turns to her co-workers and said angrily the guy took 10minutes to figure out where to go for a MRI. B, it was 5 and I didn't even get to pick. It's 5:30 at this point. Been there almost 2 hours. Saw staff for a total of 10 minutes tops and she's complaining I'm taking to long. All because she wanted to go home. Walked to checkout, lights off, staff lined up at door waiting for me to leave. Got no questions answered, no needed doctors note, no documentation of any kind that I was even there. Just got to sit there for 2 hours and be insulted. Cherry on top. After more than a week and not hearing anything we finally reached out to the hospital bc this office doesn't return calls. Find out the hospital doesn't do MRIs for children that young. So this doctor treats children but doesn't know that Sentera won't do MRIs for children of a certain age??? Decided to start over. Spent a month and several calls to get this doctors staff to provide the X-rays before I could go elsewhere so I don't get hit again by insurance. At the end of the day, I'm out copay, 2 hours time plus time on calls with office & hospital, a second trip to Williamsburg (gas and 45 more minutes) to finally get X-ray images and worst of all my child's treatment delayed 2 months. Plus the new doctor could see the issue in the X-ray that this first office did not. (Though used MRI to confirm) What an embarrassment.
