They…read more& the new Brock Cancer Center are located on the southeast corner of Virginia Beach Boulevard & Kempsville Road. Both share a large parking garage. Entrance with a traffic light is located both on Virginia Beach Boulevard, which the buildings face, & Kempsville Road. The location is also easily accessible from I-264. The handicapped parking is extremely convenient & plentiful at the Leigh Orthopedic Surgery Center. The spaces face the entrance & continues around each side of the building. I've never had to park in the spaces that require a short walk. A covered circular drive thru is a convenient drop off point at the main entrance. No valet parking is available. I've had therapy at Sentara Hand Therapy & Sentara Therapy Center- Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. I've had MRI's at the Advanced Imaging Center. My Shoulder & Elbow Orthopedic Surgeon does outpatient surgery in the building. But my recent Elbow Surgery, although outpatient, was scheduled at the hospital itself. The practice requires anyone who has a Cardiologist to have surgery at the hospital, where emergency personnel are more easily accessible. My experience with both therapy & the MRIs has been excellent. The equipment & facility is state of the art in this excellent sparkling clean Medical Center. Technology is sophisticated, extending as far as doors being opened by a sensor activated by the wave of a palm. There are also hand sanitizer stations in plentiful supply in the building. Access from Brambleton near the Midtown Tunnel is convenient not just for Norfolk, but also Portsmouth, Chesapeake, the Shore Drive corridor in Virginia Beach & the Northern sections of Suffolk. The entire staff is friendly & helpful, from the check-in desk, Medical Assistants & Nursing Staff to the Physicians. I love the way they remember you from one appointment to the next. My last visit was with Dr. Volsky, the Otologist I was referred to for a lifetime issue that had never previously been diagnosed. My appointment with the EVMS Hearing & Balance Center was to provide him information for this appointment. Dr. Volsky came through the waiting room late & in scrubs, having been called away for an emergency surgery. But such can be expected for physicians of his caliber. It also gave me time to complete the extensive questionaire, which I later learned (unlike a lot of physicians) he actually studied before entering the examination room. It was a long wait in the exam room. But I didn't mind. Patients with earlier appointments had to be seen first. They too had been waiting for him to return from surgery. Dr. Volsky completed an extensive examination & knew my other conditions & medications. I was extremely happy with his level of care & the next steps he ordered performed. He was congenial & extremely knowledgeable. Completing my satisfaction level was his question as to whether I had a ride. Although his exam didn't reach that of the Hearing & Balance Center, it did make me slightly off balance and dizzy. This is a practice that I highly recommend. You will leave knowing you're had a great level of care.

This isn't something I ever would have considered earlier in my life--not for any particular reason, I just wouldn't have done it. However, for the past four months, I have been working with Dennis Bueso, MA, RD (Clinical/Sports Dietitian), and the experience has been nothing like I expected. Being very overweight, I anticipated someone taking charge of the conversation and lecturing me on what I 'better' start doing. I think TV gave me a twisted idea of how these things go. Thankfully, it hasn't been like that at all. Our conversations are excellent and open. Mr. Bueso is incredibly 'chill' and immediately sets you at ease; it feels like a normal, back-and-forth conversation between two people. He is great at following up and is just a genuinely easy person to talk to. Since starting, I've seen amazing results. For those who know what A1C is, mine had been double what it should be for over five years. In just four months, I've brought it down to exactly where it's supposed to be. I give myself credit for controlling my diet, but Dennis has been instrumental in helping me understand what to watch and work on. In addition to the blood work, I've lost over 30 pounds in that same timeframe. I definitely want to give props and thanks to Mr. Bueso. If your doctor has recommended a dietitian, just do it. I worried about how it would go, but those worries were unnecessary. It has been a great experience. Your first…read moreappointment will be a consultation to rate ur pain level and issues to establish a therapeutic regimen. Appointments are 2-3x per week normally. They also give you exercises that you can do at home. I went for the dry needling, but found out my insurance doesn't cover it, but you have the option to pay out of pocket. The room is wide open so it will be several other patients getting worked on at the same time. They do have some private rooms. You're given several exercises to build your strength back up in whatever area you have issues with, and they also incorporate some massage, and heating pads into your treatment. It's about an hour visit, and you're in and out. Wear something comfy. I have used them in the past as well and think its a nice office to use for your therapeutic needs. Check them out!!

I was told that I would receive expert advice from this orthopedist, however Dr. Graham was completely incompetent. He told me incorrect information about muscle insertions, didn't know proper muscle names, and he even told me I needed to cut running out of my life forever to keep the pain away. As a 25 year old and a soon-to-be Doctor of Physical Therapy, I know for an absolute fact that he is wrong and it is disheartening to see that there are doctors out here like this. Please consult you primary care doctor or physical therapist for another recommendation before coming here. Dr. Graham should be retired and I am taking steps to get his license revoked.

I'm in Town to visit my Daughter and her Ohana. I had taken a fall and injured my heel. I did not…read morego to the ER because although the pain was intense, it was not overwhelming for me to want to drive to the ER. Instead, I chose to jump on Yelp and locate a nearby Orthopedic Office for help. I found Advanced Orthopedics who was just down the road from my Daughters Doctor and decided to schedule a visit there as she had an Appointment as well. I had called and spoken to Brittany who was very kind and gave me the first Appointment available which was 2 days away. I was told to be there early to do paperwork and do an X-Ray. I got there at 12:00 p.m. Brittany greeted me right away and handed me the paperwork. The paperwork was completed in 5 Minutes and then Lisa had taken me in right away to do my X-Ray. I was in the room by 12:10 p.m. Dr. Graham came in at 12:16 p.m. I was out of there by 12:37 p.m. with a Boot for my injured heel. All in all, I really enjoyed my visit and would highly recommend Advanced Orthopedics to anyone in the area! Mahalo Dr. Graham, Lisa and Brittany!! You all are Awesome!!

I had a skin cancer on my nose. After MOHS surgery on my nose took a far bigger chunk than…read moreexpected (3 chunks), I looked like a scary Halloween creature. My dermatologist sent me to Virginia Plastic Surgery for emergency reconstruction of my nose. Dr. Morbia was able to take me the same day. My nose is very sensitive, but he numbed it enough that I only felt some odd tugging, as he used existing loose skin in the area to rebuild my nose. By the time I drove home, across the bay, I felt an ache starting, and needed a couple ibuprofen and an ice pack to control pain and swelling. It is an amazing work. I am immensely grateful for Dr. Morbia's amazing skill and ability to help me on short notice.
