I'll confirm one of the other 1 star reviews as being 100% accurate. When I initially reached out for an estimate I never got a call back with a quote. I should have taken that as a sign and took my business elsewhere. Kevin May was hired to do a job that he clearly was by NO means qualified to do. He half did the job. So many errors so many imperfections. He tried to get away with not properly doing things then when told about them he had an extremely nasty and unprofessional attitude as though this was a service that he was doing for free. He went to lowes to supposedly purchase materials. Only to later find out that he thought that it was okay to purchase chips, and drinks at my expense. Complete and total ignorance. He left trash outside of my home boxes old cabinets ect. he did not clean up after himself neither did he haul off trash from the poor job that he completed. The job remains to have many errors that he feels like I should be okay with. I attempted to report him to the better business bureau but he's not listed. I can definitely see why. Based on the quality of work or lack thereof its clear that he is by no means licensed. I'm not sure who could have given him five stars and why because he is horrible and lacks professionalism and his work is garbage. I will never in life use him if he were the last person standing and I would never recommend him to anybody. I strongly urge you to find you a reputable company that embodies skill and professionalism. I will be taking him to court if I continue to have problems with the job that he was paid to do. I bought 5 expensive, antique, French chandeliers from a great local place nearby…read more Turns out that not only did I need an electrician to install them in my high-ceiling, historic home, but they needed to be re-wired, were missing canopies & chain, and the bulbs needed to be special-ordered because they had European bases. Jon talked me through the process, ordered the canopies, chain, and bulbs, and then re-wired them with clear, fixture cords. He was very careful about the crystals on the fixtures, my antique ceiling medallions, and his ladder on my hardwood floors and walls. He brought his own drop cloths, was very polite & quiet about working while I was on conference calls in the next room, and even brought his own wet wipes to clean fingerprints from the fixtures. I would definitely recommend using Fantastical Electrical, especially if you have an historic home.

I sent him the pics and info and he txt me back with a $350 quote (before he even came out to look at the job). I said great and then a week or so later he came out to the house to do the job. Jacob and his partner looked and looked for a way to do it, but said they could not do it that day because they needed the right equipment for the job and it would now cost me $500. Again I said ok lets do it, then they came back a week or so later and still could not do it. Now Jacob says to me he will do it if I provide the scaffolding! But... he will not refund me the $85 for the estimate. I agreed TWICE to his prices and to do the work and he, not me, failed to deliver the service. Doesn't seem right to me... He and his partner were super nice guys. They could have said because we can't do the job we will refund you the $85 and MAYBE I would have said no keep it and thanks for trying...

I paid him for the otherwise decent job he did throughout and went our separate ways. But now I'm writing this review because the main piece he hung was a very old, heavy, antique mirror. When he hung it, I told him I was nervous it would fall. He SWORE it wouldn't. About 6 months later, it fell. I called him to come fix it and he came over to look at it and said he would make it right and would come back after he got the parts needed. He never came back and will not answer any calls or messages.
