It was a challenge to find a law firm that not only was affordable, but also had a team of social workers attached. Janie, Danielle, and Chelsea were always available. We never went to a care conference alone. And even if a social worker was new and we were learning together, I always had a team to go to to make sure I was on track with what I was advocating for for my mother when her facility was not doing it's job and trying to push us out. When it came time to apply for Medicaid for our mom, Shannon and the Rothkoff team helped us through it big time! That was a huge, stressful undertaking and I don't think we would have gotten through it as swiftly as we did without them. The other amazing aspect of the law firm is the community for caregivers they try to create. I was out of state and could unfortunately not attend events, but it was helpful to know that they are really in deep with caregiving and trying to find ways to support caregivers in all endeavors. We reached out, during the initially process they were accommodating and showed disingenuous concern to get us to sign. We did. After we signed , the communication stopped. Everything that was asked of me, even things that wern't, I sent in a timely manner (with timestamps) after laying in a hospital bed for weeks, the empathy was so comforting from this lawfirm................. We began working with Karl then never heard from him again and spoke with Dansk... to which information was clearly not communicated between the two. Danshit would state he did not receive certain information that was already sent to Karl. He was so nasty to me on the phone, I was schocked of the unmitigated fucking gaul to talk to someone in such an ..unsafe way.. He was rude, has an air about himself that is white and entitled. He switched tones when speaking to my mother although not his client. I'm 30, there is no need to speak with her. We found that to be very telling of his poor character. I called and asked his firm for a mere response, days he said he would call, he wouldn't. He got an attitude because as I client I wanted updates. Very nasty demeanor, Michael Dansky. I found community among the residents. I became sick and needed to isolate. The managers have never contacted me or asked if I needed anything. I have had to call several times to have a package brought up that I needed, received 6 hours later. Before you move in, the management is all over you. I believe the tone is set by management. I am disappointed. Before you sign on, consider what I have experienced. I will make the best of what is. Hopefully, this may help create change. Kindness and compassion goes a long way in providing a caring and supportive environment.
