Our doctor handled the order for a nurse to come every other day to take care of open wounds on my frail 84 year old husband's feet. Someone called to confirm that a nurse would come, but no one showed up when promised. I then called the woman who called me, asking for a call back, but she did not do it. Three days after the order was sent, I called the office number twice, before hours and during hours, and did speak to a nice man who said that the doctor had to rewrite the orders. He took care of that and sent Roberto that same day, which we appreciated. Roberto said that someone else would call us and would take over from then on, but three days later no one has contacted us. Out of 5 interactions, I had to initiate 4 of them. If I had not done that we would have had no help. As of today the help promised two days ago never took place. Roberto said that my husband's wounds are healing nicely, but we are not able to take care of them ourselves, and we still need help. I know how busy health professionals are, and I appreciate them immensely, but I do not respect people or agencies that say one thing and do another. JUST TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON, AND IF YOU CANNOT DO THE JOB, I WILL TRY TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE. PLEASE.

Of course, reviews are also written for hotels, various service providers, hair and nail salons, and dozens of other types of businesses. I'm not sure how many reviews are written about nursing services or other providers of service which focus on health needs. Well, here's mine, as I know some of my fellow Yelpers may one day have a need for such a service. For the last 6 months I was engaged in overseeing care provided at home, and eventually in hospice, for my 90 year old cousin, Edythe. During that time, I had the need for at-home nursing aides for cousin Edythe, and called upon Lynden Nursing Service to do so. I was impressed with their efficiency, especially their ability to handle everything via telephone, and to respond to urgent needs. There were situations which really demanded logistic sensitivity and prompt responsiveness, in a very short window of time. As an example, the time when Edythe fell in her apartment (even though she insisted the wall telephone flew out from the wall and knocked her over), and she was seen in the ER, and when I was advised of her release, I did not want her to return to her Kings Point condo and not have anyone to be with her to make sure she would be OK during that night and following day. I called Lynden, and explained that I needed an aide in Delray Beach in no more than 90 minutes, that she had to speak without a heavy accent, and further explained some of Edythe's unique health challenges, to be certain they sent "the right person". They did! Trust me, it isn't easy to find "the right person", when it comes to nursing services and their aides. It is actually far more difficult and challenging than it is, let's say, for a hot, sexy, very bright, well educated, well employed, straight (or close to it) woman to find a 30ish guy with the same characteristics. Now, that caught your attention, huh, assuming you read this far. Well, Lynden identified the right people, and responded to my compulsive lawyer-like former Federal government senior-level employee mentality of not allowing anything to slip through the cracks, taking nothing for granted, and expecting nothing less than excellence. Edythe's last month of life had numerous challenges. When she was in hospice for 13 nights, attended for those nights with 15 hour shifts by one of their young aides (TAVIA), or when she transitioned to assisted living and was attended by another awesome aide (TEKEIRA) to help close out everything in her condo, take her clothes shopping, and re-assuirng her that everything would be ok, my life was made all the easier for the outstanding professional, reliable, and sensitive nursing aid service provided. If you have a need for an aging relative, you'll be well served by using this agency.

He continued to get worse and they did nothing to help or "rehab" him. He was having a hard time participating in PT so they basically gave up on him. 1 Hour a day of PT if that, besides that they leave patients in the room or community room to just Veg all day - No televisions in the room, no interaction besides family who visits. Changes are few and far between leaving patients with rashes and sores. Wouldn't eat - staff had no care. Never once suggested additional medical care - you know maybe transfer back to the hospital or get a doctor in there to look at him. He was so bad we decided to take him out of there on the 30 day mark. We asked about hospice - they wouldn't refer. He was discharged on a Friday afternoon and died by Monday Night. Do not send your loved ones here if you want to have any chance of them having a successful rehab experience.
