He had every reason in the book why he was capable, shortly after his wife told me about his issues with cognitive impairment and that he really needed the help that he was telling me he didn't need. The client allowed the care into the home on a temporary basis, which obviously would have ended quickly if there was a bad experience I want to tell everyone and anyone, that the other agencies the client had checked with wanted significantly more money per hour and blamed it on COVID. This company worked with the client to get the aide to adapt to the situation and kept in constant communication. The client is very pleased with the aide after being so resistant. Now the client is enjoying the aide that is helping him and I know they are safe. Within a week, I get a phone call from their son, thanking me, telling me that how safe he and the family members now feel. His voice gushing with appreciation. The best way that I knew to express their happiness and share it with others in the same situation was to post this on Yelp. South Florida is full of questionable home health care providers. Everyone is entitled to a bad day or a grumble when they are not at their best. But great services should also be acknowledged and shared. My mom came home today. She was in rehab two months. Fantastic. Nurses were gentle, caring &…read moreattentive. They genuinely care about the patients. It's not just a job. They work with their hearts, treating their patients gently & like family. Food was NEVER junk food. Healthy, tasty & ever changing. I thank the cooks. Mom enjoyed their diet. Two months and not one insect. Very clean. Mom had an infection that if not attended to properly, she could have had her leg amputated. Doctors gave her 40% chance of succeeding. This team at MARGATE REHAB was the difference. Not only did she heal, she healed a week earlier than anticipated. The office workers, every one of them, helped me in getting my mom's needs met. The speech therapist & physical therapists work very hard. They don't just go through the motions. Yes, everyone was wonderful. But now that she's home, it's my realization that they're one fantastic team that because they worked together so well, they made it possible for her to come home WHOLE...literally. From simplistically getting fresh ice water throughout the day, having fresh linens every morning, to having the room and floors cleaned every day, they're on a higher level. This is not the best choice for your senior parent or loved one…read more The atmosphere is dry, old, and hasn't changed in 10 years. The equipment is often old and not working properly. Found myself peeling away sheets of lint from the AC filter in parent's room. Rooms floor was sticky and made that shoe snap when you walk thru it. There were several good people and nurses but this never overcame the poor intake process and persons lack of ability to assist from the start. If you choose this center for rehab and senior services, be very vocal and keep good records. They don't like complaints however and appear to try and move parent out to avoid it versus offering the care being paid for and most would consider normal.
