It's nothing special, but I almost always find what I need - on occasion there are things out of stock that I'm looking for, but not often enough to make a big difference. I have had a mix of interactions with the staff here, nothing outwardly negative, just generally unfriendly. BUT there is a gentleman that usually works in the dairy/processed meats section and he is always SO NICE and so friendly. Even when I come in at 6 in the morning on the weekends! Overall, I like this location, and I will definitely keep visiting (obviously with the 1 million check-ins!)

The first two times it was good. The third time was a disaster. They have a fraud department. I was flagged..it happens.. They realized it was a mistake and reinstated my account. Mind you it was $250 worth of food. They reordered my delivery (another $250) and the fraud department canceled the order again! I called to fix this. A man by the name of Chris said it was "billing issue" Fraud? Billing? which one. I am for now on going to Costco. I told them they lost $15,000 worth of my business because of their incompetence.

It was the kind of place where you could wander with a tray, try a little of everything, and always leave happy (and full). Beyond the food, it had an atmosphere you don't find often anymore: a casual bustle, families sharing dishes, shoppers taking a break from the aisles, everyone drawn together by the smells and flavors. That's why it was such a loss when the owner closed it down. The whole community misses the variety, the warmth, and the incredible value the food court offered. It wasn't just a spot to grab a bite, it was part of our weekend routine, a place to bring visiting friends, a taste of home for many. Thank you to everyone who ran the food court for all those years. Your hard work and hospitality made Great Wall more than a supermarket; you made it a gathering place. You're dearly missed!

Other fresh seafood included lobster, reasonable prices stone crab ($3.99 a pound is the same as t home in Newport, RI), Dungeness crab, lobster, and - to my surprise - a tank full of fresh frogs which I wives witnessed the demise of (well, four anyway)! The workers in the seafood department were on their a-game! A beautiful store that I will come back to for sure.

As the name suggests, there are specialty food items from all over Europe. While I saw some things like English teas, German cookies, and a few Greek items, it seemed like the majority of the offerings were from Eastern Europe. I think over half of the products had labels in Cyrillic alphabet with no translation on them in any fashion, so some things you just gotta know what it is or ask the staff. I saw a lot of things from Georgia and Ukraine, but I think I saw other products from that region (Russian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, etc.). The staff were very friendly, and cheerfully assisted me with some of the pastries we purchased. One had a nice balance of flaky pastry and fruit filling while the blintzes seemed a bit underwhelming. I also picked up a bottle of dessert wine and Children #1 and #2 picked out some candies that caught their eye. The inside is clean and somewhat small but easy to navigate. There is music playing (I don't know what language; I want to say Russian but in today's climate that could be a charged statement. Just want to say it positively adds to the vibe). Worth checking out, if you want to explore a product you might not otherwise be exposed to or if you want to find a specialty European item that you've been missing.

I have never met someone at a Trader Joe's that wouldn't go out of their way to help a customer. The food is delicious! They have lots of fresh fruit and veggies. They are priced so reasonably. I love their snack section and I load up on nuts, dried fruits, chips, pretzels and cookies. You can't go wrong with Trader Joe's snacks. I also buy their muffins and breads. They have a sourdough bread that is amazing. The scones are really good too. Don't forget the lemon cookies, they taste like lemon meringue pie. Yum! But this one is preferable to the one in North Bethesda because it seems to have more parking spaces and getting back onto Rockville Pike can take a while, especially on Saturdays. And unless you like parking in underground garages, you can give the downtown Rockville TJ's a pass (formerly Dawson's Market). Store is clean and well-stocked, and they always seem to have staff restocking the shelves. Cashiers are friendly and efficient - they'll call you over to one of their lanes if they're open (and the lanes are named after local roadways for convenience). Just be careful turning into the lot from Travilah and Route 28 - the first driveway is exit-only!!
