My family and I love Selmi's! We go every year in the fall for pumpkins and my daughter loves the fun activities they have. The horse and wagon ride is cool too. They also have delicious apple cider and doughnuts, and in summer the best sweet corn!!

    Do they make apple cider?

Hello. We are putting in our own cider press for 2025! We currently take our apples elsewhere to press for us. I also buy some from a friends orchard in Indiana for resale. We will have gallons and half gallons soon. We are currently selling last… Read more

Mike Dittmar was incredibly kind and talked to us about the history of the farm. We found out they have this neat Airbnb on property and can't wait to book next year. One piece of advice- I seriously almost didn't buy the donuts because I'd eaten so many apples while picking and I'm glad I decided to because they are insanely delicious!!

It's a rip-off because they take ur money and send you to get pumpkins that aren't there, and to a small apple area with bad apples. I get dry weather hurt but then Do Not pretend it didn't and take the money! Go elsewhere. Response to owner: Correction - I should hv said no pickable apples... All we wanted to do was PICK apples and pumpkins - lady owner should not hv taken our money if admission was not needed for that. I am 100% correct to report that lady owner sent us to an empty pumpkin patch where there were NO pumpkins to pick. None. I am 100% correct play equipment is in disrepair and worn out. Spin it as you will but overall a disappointing experience - owners can't even agree on what admission covers.

Most of the things here are free. Pumpkins that you can pick are at very reasonable prices. Food and drinks are at reasonable prices too as well as other merchandise and other fall related things that go on here. They had a corn maze that I did not check out at all. Visiting the animals was probably one of my favorite things at the farm. It's not jam-packed like a lot of the popular locations. The only downside I would say was that the staff is a little bit untrained especially when it comes to money handling since the one cashier when I was paying for pumpkins didn't know how to count cash even though I gave him exact change. Overall, you should not pass up on this place at all. 4.5 Stars

They have a huge play area with wooden structures such as a school bus, fire truck, and castle. My young girls enjoyed the pretend play on the vehicles and going on the slides. There is also a section with huge stacks that are perfect for climbing and taking group pictures. Some things to take note of: 1) There is a section with plenty of port-a-potties. We were there in the morning so the port-a-potties were all relatively clean and unused. 2) The food section isn't that big but service is quick. We tried the cheese pizza, poor boy, pork chop on a stick, cheeseburger, and donuts. We would definitely order the poor boy, a cube steak sandwich, and pork chop again. They did an excellent job with grilling the meats and both had a nice sear while retaining moisture. The donuts were mini-size and came in baker's dozen so it was easy for our young girls to dig in.

We expected it to be overcrowded. Not at all! Everything is laid out so nicely. There are 2 sections - the pick-you-own orchard, and the barn/petting zoo. The pick-your-own orchard has a variety of different kinds of apples to pick. It is $1.50/lb, and a minimum of 20 pounds. You can rent a apple picker ($10 deposit), and they also have a tractor ride to the orchards if you want. It is CASH/CHECK ONLY - no credit cards here. They have a sign that is color coded so you know what trees are what variety, and also what rows they are in. The trees also have colored ribbons on them to match the sign. The trees had plenty of apples on them, and you can try them out to see if you like them. The barn is full of pre-picked apples, jams and preserves, apple butter, candies, caramel apples, apple cider, squash, gourds, pumpkins, and more! So many yummy things to choose from! They also have a petting zoo with chickens, goats, donkeys, rams, and an alpaca. You can feed the animals through the fence (they have feed you can purchase in the barn). The animals are friendly and will let you pet them. You can't go in the fence, but that's ok. The staff is really nice - I actually lost my ID while I was there and they found/returned it to me. A great family-run business! I will most definitely be returning!!

I guess they allow businesses to come in and do that often, which I think is really nice. My GPS was a little bit off so I'll be updating that but as soon as you cross the overpass it's the big white house on the left side of the street. I didn't realize that was it because I didn't realize it was a house. I went in December so it was a bit cold but we were specifically going to see the reindeer and I was excited! It was the cutest little place there were Christmas trees everywhere and people were having a great time. This business offers so many wonderful amenities, I was surprised at everything that they had to offer. There was a train for all ages that was safe and secure so nobody could fall out, a smaller garage like building where they were selling crafty items and doing some glitter face painting, a fire pit where you can sit down and warm up, a little trailer where they were selling hot cocoa and donuts, that was the cutest by the way! There was also a Big white Barn where you could go in and look at all the amazingly beautiful crafts, soaps, lotions, and home decor that they had for sale. They weren't even expensive either, you would expect some of those items to be more on the expensive side but they were definitely affordable. I ended up getting a hot cocoa sign and a prairie Moon farm coffee mug. The mug was $8.50. We walked over to the entrance to go into the reindeer encounter. As you go in, there are many photo opportunities, an area where the kids can sit down, warm up and do some coloring! After that we went over to say hi to the alpacas, they look very happy and healthy! A couple turkey's crossed our paths as we walked over to the reindeer enclosure. They were absolutely beautiful and they looked so happy and confortable! There was a girl standing by the reindeer enclosure and she was offering us Willow branches to feed the reindeer for free. She was very knowledgeable about the reindeers and talking to us about their antlers. There was a little girl there and she was really concerned because the reindeers antler was bleeding slightly. She gave us reassurance that even though they looked like that, they did not hurt, it was part of the process for when the reindeers drop their antlers. I appreciated so much that she knew about them and was educating us and the people around us about them! This is such a great place I think that it might be somewhere that I add to my itinerary more often. I hear that they have many seasonal opportunities with lots of fun stuff! They take part in Spoon River drive where they have lots of vendors there selling their items, they have plenty of seasonal activities for children and adults too including a big bubble pool in the summer. In the fall, they have a whole pumpkin patch along with seasonal drinks and foods and in the spring they have a flower market. I'm definitely looking forward to driving out here again next season to see what they have to offer!
