It is the first church that I have been a part of that I feel like I can completely be myself and I am never judged. Unlike other churches I have attended in the past, I don't have to act more "spiritual" in order to fit in. I also love that this church is not cliquey and we all get along and support each other equally. Pastor Al is very down to earth and relatable. I also appreciate that Perch does not shy away from important topics that can be taboo in other churches such as: racism, spiritual abuse, spiritual trauma, and social justice issues. So this review is about my experience renting the church as a location for a recent independent film/television shoot. I wanted to use the auditorium to stage a comedy scene because it was the perfect backdrop for what we were looking for, and the location representatives/lighting engineer had quick and complete control over the lighting grid to make adjustments on the fly, exactly the way we wanted. It was very easy to park and easy to access the location--parking was right next to the building and behind a fence so the crew felt safe leaving their cars there. It was incredibly easy to set up the rental and the paperwork was handled digitally (save the trees!) They even had customized signs made for us to direct the cast and crew exactly to the right place, and we had ample seating and room to take breaks (with comfy couches laid out for us), as well as clean bathrooms and nice accommodations. We EVEN were given the wifi password. If you need a location to film a scene in a large church auditorium, don't hesitate to ask for Gabrielle--the church's rates are reasonable, the hours are accommodating, the location is clean, and the lighting is adjustable. Can't recommend it enough!
