The classes are about 45 minutes just enough to get you pumped up and get your heart moving. First class is $20 to try it out and after that, you can pay monthly fee to get as many classes as you want. I recommend as many classes as you want. It's in a Shopping center, so plenty of parking. The parking lot is well lit and there's an Albertson's right there in case you need to pick up some thing that take home for dinner.

We signed up our daughter shortly after she turned 3. She was excited to do karate and be part of a…read moreclass. She is very active and this was her first group class which was discussed with admin before she began. The staff worked hard with her, and we did see improvement over time. However, I wish we had been given clearer expectations before signing a 12-month contract. The class included a wide age range (3-6) , and much of the instruction involved standing in one spot, waiting, and following structured drills. Our daughter struggled with those expectations and often required one-on-one support to participate. When we raised concerns and asked about pausing our membership until she was more mature, we were told she would likely do better if parents were completely out of sight, that some younger children had taken up to six months to adjust, and that the staff would continue providing the support she needed. Based on that conversation, we continued attending following their recommendations. A few weeks later, the studio ended our contract, explaining that the amount of one-on-one assistance she required was not fair to the other students. They did release us from the remaining financial obligation, which we appreciated. However, it was frustrating because the same concerns we had raised earlier were the reasons given for ending her enrollment. My recommendation to parents of younger toddlers is to ask detailed questions about developmental readiness, expectations, class structure, and how much independence is expected. I would encourage parents to observe or participate in an actual group class before committing, as a one-on-one trial may not fully reflect the experience of a regular class. This may be a great fit for some kids just wasn't the case for us.

The instructors were friendly, patient, and welcoming. They did a great job working with the kids and made the whole experience enjoyable. My kids had a great time, and I really appreciated the structure of the class and the positive values they emphasized throughout. Unfortunately, the tuition is more than our family can justify right now, and this location is a bit farther from home than we'd prefer. We do have another Victory Martial Arts location much closer to us, but this was the location our homeschool group partnered with for the trial class.
