BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you end up using Michelle, it will ruin all other agencies for you…read more I am a professional career nanny. I have over seven years of nannying experience, five years of teaching experience, and more. I have a B/S in childhood development as well as my MAT. When I began my search for a nanny-family in LA, I did my due diligence by shopping around looking at multiple agencies. I found that Michelle had the TOP RATED AGENCY ON MULTIPLE SITES and wanted to take a closer look. I read through every. single. review. I thought to myself, "Really? Every single person had a positive experience with this agency? That's just not statistically possible if she's really working with this many people..." I decided to set up a meeting. I drove to her office where we met to discuss particulars (what I'm looking for, what families are in the market for a nanny right now, what ages/salary/commute/hours I'm looking for) and the moment she opened the door and greeted me with a giant smile and her upbeat, positive attitude, I felt like just working with HER was my perfect placement! Once we started the process, Michelle was completely professional while also refreshingly honest and realistic in her suggestions. She really took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for and she only suggested me to families that she knew had the potential to be a "love match!" After looking at a few potential matches, Michelle called me to tell me that she had "found my family!" She said, "This is the one. Please go for an interview and see for yourself." So I did. This is the part of the review where I'm going to get annoyingly emotional. Not only did the family and I immediately "click," but Michelle had made sure that all of our stats were in alignment. The age range, schedule, amount of hours, commuting time, pay rate, expectations and needs happened to all align with what I was looking for. It was LITERALLY the PERFECT PLACEMENT!!!! Coincidence? I think not. Michelle is highly intelligent, professional, personable, understanding, diligent, experienced, communicative, and pleasantly charismatic and I owe my job satisfaction directly to her. Now that I think about it, maybe I should send over a bottle of wine. Thank you, Michelle, for just being so incredibly good at what you do. As I mentioned earlier, when I started this process, I read through every one of your (5 star) reviews and thought, "There's just no way every single review can be five stars..." and now here I am adding one more.

It seemed like I had landed a few dream jobs only for it to slip away from me. Really trying times. Then I met Michelle! This brings a smile to my face. Meeting with her felt like chatting with a friend. I realized after that this is her skill. She loves people and wants to represent both the families and the nannies. It was a slow period and she didn't have any job opportunities at the time when I signed up with her agency, the perfect placement. After being on the hunt for my top nanny job with a kind family for many months and it wasn't happening I was getting ready to move out of state. I mentioned to Michelle that I'm no longer looking for a position as it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Michelle didn't give up on me. She called me with 2 opportunities. I went on both interviews and was called back to do a trial for the one that I wanted !! Yay !! Then Michelle negotiated some time off that I needed to take care of a health issue. The family was so wonderful they waited for me ! All I can say everything lined up perfectly. Michelle will always return your call in a timely manner and she always checks in to see how you're doing. I thank God I met Michelle !

The service that they provide is really incredible and professional. I have been through several other agencies in the past and I must say Kimco has been the most reliable job agency that I've ever used. Everyone there is very friendly and so helpful. My job recruiter Susie is so amazing at what she does and always has my best interest. She has been there for me and worked tirelessly to get me working. I am so grateful for her and for the other Kimco employees like Yemi and Martha who have always assisted me with whatever I needed, whether it was getting paid on time or sending messages, etc... Since day one they're professionalism has truly stood out from the rest. I am very confident in Kimco and will forever be grateful to this company, especially to the staff members that I mentioned. They work hard and are dedicated employees. They are well-trained, trusted and provide a great service to people like me and countless others looking for employment opportunities. Mark A. Barger

This place gets a bad rap, but it's home to a lot of people who can't find or keep a job at other…read moreplaces. Pirate staffing is an ethical employment agency that typically sends you on one day assignments with a one-day commitment. At best, it's a full time temp job with unlimited (but unpaid) days off. At worse, you don't get called into work that day. After you sign up with them, the courteous (and they are courteous) employment specialists will call you and have you working as early as the next day. Sometimes, they'll need someone day of, and you get to be at work on a day you would have otherwise wasted. It's not the most glamorous work, but all work is good work. And you can learn a lot from the different business and warehouses they send you to. And most of them are local. Sometimes as little as 5 minutes from the agency. The best part for me, is that the environment is always changing. Since you can technically work five different jobs on a given week (and get paid the very next day), at five different places, if there's ever a job or a co-worker, or a boss you don't like- just tough it out that day, and ask not to be sent there again. But the truth is, most places they contract with are staffed with genuine people. Nice people, with good attitudes. I'd recommend this place to anyone who was looking for a job ASAP, and doesn't have the time, money or babysitting to commit to a regular schedule. They also work with you if you need to take the bus.

Like most people who end up here, I was baited by a Craigslist ad for a decent paying position. I signed up online and then was asked to show up in person. I got there not realizing what was expected of me and was ill prepared. They wanted me to provide documents which I don't carry on me and go through a whole two hour hiring process which I was not ready for. I had to leave and come back some other day. My second time around I came prepared and went through all the hoops. The receptionist was really friendly and nice, the interviewer, Bertha, not so much. I spent about an hour and half there before taking a drug test on location. For some odd reason it came up "inconclusive", so despite of my clear desire to just hurry up and get done with the whole ordeal, they sent me to a lab for further testing. This would have required me to wait for the results to be cleared before coming back in to finish the interview. I was frustrated at this point but I went to the lab anyways... I'm clean. I don't use any drugs, but because of their malfunctioning equipment, what should have been a 2 hour ordeal was now gonna take up my whole day. Here's the kicker though... The lab was closed and I had 24hours to pass a drug test at that specific location otherwise I had to wait 30 days before applying again. Like I mentioned before, this experience was in no way "express".
