I would Give them no stars but that's not possible on yelp. Over the last year I worked a few different temp jobs w/ them, which took over a month to be payed for (they pay weekly) I was told And Now it's been almost another month since being payed for a day I worked..They will not answer my calls almost like they screen the calls and don't answer on purpose. I've left 3 voicemails. They told me they no longer could provide work for me but didn't expect to NOT BE PAID and ignored.. seems illegal and unprofessional. I'm surprised the Better Business Bureau have not been contacted sooner. I would highly suggest not applying to any jobs involving this staffing agency. Save yourself the headache. read more

This staffing agency is literally the worst, very unprofessional ,very rude and disrespectful. They put me on an assignment that allowed me to take 3 different days off so that I could handle some business that I needed to handle with my car and my child but during this assignment I was helping people face to face fill out applications at a distribution center I ended up getting really sick from the distribution center from being in people faces who were sick trying to help them , I had to go to the hospital and was able to provide a doctors note I sent them the doctors note and called to make sure they had received when I spoke to someone they told me unfortunately they would no longer be able to work with me anymore because of an attendance issue and that the client wanted to end my assignment as well this was on a Thursday the next day (Friday) I followed up to make sure they at least submitted my last hours for the days I worked that week select staffing told me yes they did so here it is Friday of next week and I still haven't gotten payed they said they need to call the client and double check if I worked those days last week mind you I have only worked with them for a month get this some one text me in the beginning of the week asking if I felt better and was ready to get back to work? This review is specifically for Serina at the Stockton agency. I recently got a job thru this company w/ the help of Serina, ONLY on the day of my interview. When my interview was over, she told me to text or call her if i have any questions or need any help. This company provides a pay card, & i was a little confused w/ the app. I texted Serina a question about the app & she never replied to me at all. I've also asked her about how i find a phone number to call off due to an emergency & again..she never replied. I've asked her many questions & i still havent gotten any replies. The Modesto office is extremely rude and unhelpful. My husband was hung up on by one of the agents, because he simply brought to their attention he wasn't available for a shift they were trying to place him in. She literally said oh my god and hung up on him. Extremely unprofessional and rude. Doesn't sound like from other reviews that anyone is having a much better experience. My name is Peter desroches I was hired for a temp job for Pitney Bowes through prologistix. I was only trained for 10minutes then was expected to know and understand all the procedures with scanning packages and sorting. Management there was very arrogant and unsympathetic towards the fact I'm a disabled employee. At almost the end of my shift I was given a lecture of making to many mistakes so I just quit do to the fact that mismanagement and lack of training was going to be my eventual termination anyway. The next week I visit prologistics in Stockton California and I tried to see if was still hired them for another job, I was then told nope you made a complaint with our hr office so we have to investigate it. A few days later I get some bogus b s. About not passing there back ground check? Wow prologistics legal division put one under me! Slippery snakes they are, retchid and full of discrimination. If I could leave zero stars, I most definitely 100% would! This agency is byfar one of the worst agencies I've ever had to deal with. They're inconsiderate, rude, unprofessional, and sadly, they all don't seem to have any communication skills whatsoever. I've been trying to get ahold of someone in the office numerous of times on the phone, but noone ever picks up. So we decided to drop in today, the front desk dude literally checks us in, writes our names down on a post it, and tells us to wait- doesn't say anything about the recruiter being away- literally says nothing. I had to ask are they on lunch? He says yes. Not only did we wait in the room with him for 30 mins, he eventually gets up and leaves without saying anything. We wait for an additional 30 mins by ourselves before I decided to get up and go inside to ask someone in the office to speak to a recruiter. Apparently Mary is out today so there's only Serina available but Serina isn't on lunch, she's not even at her desk, all I could hear is her laughing in another room, busy chopping it up, having a good time with whoever it was she was with, so one of the people at their desk goes to her and comes out and tells us she'll be with us shortly. We wait another 30 mins for her (at this point we've been sitting waiting for 1 1/2 hrs!!!) but she never even had the decency or common courtesy to come out, she didn't even bother getting up from where she was at to check in on us. I am incredibly frustrated with our time being wasted and surprised this person even still has a job. I really hope this agency steps it up or replace the recruiters please! read more

So basically fill out the application on their website. And they are supposed to call you. Well I had to call them and the first time I talked to someone it sounded as she had no clue why I was calling. Said she would find a date for me to come in and call me back. It was 2 days after that that I decided to call them back. When I called back the person I spoke with told me this basically that they wouldn't help me look for work because I wasn't working in the past 3 months. I'm sorry but I feel that this is not right. Select staffing in stockton is super whack , you never get payed on time ,it's always an issue weather you put your time card in early or late.I got two people hired never got my bonus. I'm currently employed here and I'm having a terrible experience serina gomez is extremely forgetful they messed up my paycheck it's been two weeks and still haven't been paid what is owed to me. It is very frustrating because I can't pay my bills with "sorry" I know a guy at work that's going through the same experience no other for two weeks and he couldn't even come to work because he had no money for gas it's absurd he had to go to the agency so they could give him a few bucks cash so could get gas and go to work. I was placed VERY quickly after going in and filling out an application. The first assignment didn't work out as planned (NOT Select Staffing's fault AT ALL!!).... So after talking on the phone with Select Staffing's Personnel Supervisor, she was able to place me (with better pay!) with barely any time lost in between assignments!. I cannot thank the Modesto office enough, I am very happy to work for a staffing agency that shows they care for their employees. It is refreshing! This is the ABSOLUTE WORST place to find employment. Apply here if you LOVE being 'talked down" to, having people RUDELY interrupt you when you are talking! All they want is their 25% mark up. so you're in a position that SHOULD pay you 18.00 per hour. The agency get's 25% of that...leaving you with about $13.50 per hour. And they collect...while they treat you like dirt???? Oh and let's not forget LEE in the Tracy Branch. She's the shortest, rudest person who has ever answered the phone in the history of Select as far as I'm concerned.
