Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. To summarize: The team at ATOZ was thoroughly professional and kept us informed with clear, consistent communication every step of the way. Importantly, the team worked efficiently to stay on schedule and were fair when an unexpected issues arose, providing clear solutions. We hired them to open up the first floor of our Cape Cod, and they completely helped me re-imagine the space taking down several walls to create a true open-concept layout. Along the way they installed new hardwood floors across the entire first floor, redid our shower, replaced both toilets, moved our washer and dryer, and prepped all the groundwork for our kitchen renovation. The craftsmanship throughout was outstanding. The part that really earned our trust is they delivered on what they promised AND THEN SOME! Conrad was more than happy to come back with pleasure and take care of more than a few minor details until I was completely satisfied. He came back twice. Once on a Sunday. I felt like I was being a stickler about details but all he wanted was for me to be happy. He remained a professional gentleman. Here is the final results. He did a good job and the price was very reasonable.

While we had no issues during the process, shortly after the floor was sinking in multiple places. The contractor returned and placed a saddle in one area. Saddles were included in my contract (two separate contracts one for materials and one for labor), so we had paid for both even though they initially didn't use saddles. There was no refund given for the unused materials and work that was never done. They returned again to "lift" the kitchen subfloor. At this point they had to remove the new LVP, so they used our warranty to replace the flooring. The floor continues to sink in multiple areas. They suggested placing multiple saddles throughout my floor. They claimed the floor manufacturer said I needed them, so I don't know why I wasn't told or why it wasn't done during the initial installation. I asked when they open the floor and see the subfloor is unlevel would they do the honorable thing and return my money to me so I can have my floor repaired. I was told the subfloor is level and we are no longer discussing it. They hold no accountability. On top of all of this, they have photos of my home including personal information of where we live, personal details of our family and refuse to take it down. What customer ever wants this!? They have now blocked me on social media, and fail to communicate responsibly. All I would like is the money returned to me for the flooring that is now garbage because they have to take it apart to level underneath, the money paid to do the work that wasn't done correctly, reimbursement for what was paid out but never used. This is a major inconvenience to have to go through construction again. This has been dragged out too long, own up to your mistakes and Do the right thing. be warned and stay far away from this company.

This apparent expert leak finder came to inspect a leaking roof from a skylight/eyebrow. at the…read moretime the roof was approximately 8 yrs old, new construction. From the ground he looked around and sent up a worker to the roof. He made small talk with me while the worker put some tar like material around the flashing. $250 charge. A year and half later it leaked again. He came and wash rinse repeat. $250 charge. The leak happened again shortly after. He told me he was charging yet another $250 before he would come. We decided to call another roofer that came and made some minor repairs at the skylight seams while stating that the previous repairs may have made things worse but cannot know for sure. He told me to watch it and call him after next major rain storm. No charge. The main problem was this Roofer does not get on the roof. He sends other workers up there that speak limited English and he did not honor his work if the leak is not repaired First time around.

We have had no problems with the roof/skylights anywhere to date (Jan 2024). The only disappointment was the company used for gutters. They did not clean-up adequately. Pieces of metal were found in the yd for several weeks after they left. They used young workers and their work should be supervised closely before you pay them. We have NO reservations recommending Safe Choice as long as Brian is the owner.

I contracted this company in 2017 to do some major renovations in my very first property I owned. I…read morenever had lived in a house before, and to me everything was so new. I had very limited experience with contractors. This company won me over but guaranteeing their work and servicing for "several years". Here is my opinion of them, after a year and a half since they "finished" their work: 1. quality of work: - POOR. They try to do many things "in-house", where their same workers being universally skilled at almost everything and therefore masters at nothing. Quality is from INTERMEDIATE to POOR. Many things had to be re-done, The would break one thing while fixing another, they keep creating more problems as they go along. They would also mislead me into believing that they do certain types of work (electric floor heating) , when they had no experience at all. They did not properly size the area, and installed electric wiring in the floor in a very unsafe and inefficient way, which caused the thermostat to trip. They persuaded me to install the electrical heated floors in the areas, that will never require it, simply due to physics. 2. Third Party Contracting: For come of the work they would hire another company. For the most part they would do the cheapest, low quality work, that would need to be re-done, due to safety concerns. For example they hired a company to install stairs. The quality was so bad, that the steps would start collapsing. I had to warn them of impending injury and wait for a while for them to get it repaired. 3. Procrastination / Abandonment: Even after I repeatedly warned them to winterize the house plumbing, they failed to do it and caused damage to the house. They also failed to secure /remove construction garbage /debris from my property, (despite my repeated warnings) which flew through out the neighborhood and cause me to get multiple violations from the village. They would also disappear for weeks, in the middle of work. I would later find out that they work on another property. 4. Price vs Quality: As I mentioned the quality ranged from MEDIUM to LOW, but the fees they charged where on par with very nicely done, expensive professional work. 5. Warranty. They did not honor their promise and about 8-9 months after they finished, I started having plumbing issues (they installed plumbing). They dont respond to repeated WhatsUp messages or the phone texts or calls. But the funny thing is that I dont trust them, so I rather pay someone else to fix it, rather having them come over and risking them break something else. In summary, I would definitely not recommend Royalties International Inc.

He explained clearly and answered all my questions, and he helped me see the issues with my own eyes so I could understand. He then gave me several options to repair or re-cover the roof. We discussed the options, and I asked him if we should also consider tearing the existing roof down to the studs and doing a full replacement. He gave me a very honest answer of what it would cost (a lot more) and that he didn't think that was necessary right now. He sold me what he thought was best for my roof, not the solution that would make him the most money. And he guaranteed his work for 15 years. When we inspected the roof again on the first day the crew began working, I found a few more concerning spots we hadn't seen on first inspection. Charles noted them and came up with solutions that worked, fit within our timeline and the budget. His crew worked quickly and did high quality work. They were all very kind and respectful of our house and our neighbors. I also dealt with Charles' son several times during the process - I believe he is taking over the business from his father. He was just as kind, patient, and respectful as Charles. I would recommend Charles and his company to anyone who needs roof work, whether you need a small patch or a full redo. He's fantastic, kind, trustworthy, and reliable. P.S. I'm writing this review over a year later, in early 2024, and I'm still just as completely thrilled with their work and their support as I was when they first completed the job.
