I lived off of east main avenue for two years, and while there were small issues here and there,…read morethe owner allowed one of the best things ever to happen for me; he allowed to bring a dog into the house even though I had broken his trust previously. This dog has now been with me ever since. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal to most people, but to me that owner saved this dogs life and made my life so special because he cared enough to give me a chance. Also our maintenance man was very nice. The house is huge and is so close to everything. Very nice backyard. It is an older house but that's kinda the best part about it. Sherri is amazing, I did get mad at her a lot but looking back she taught us a lot and was kinda like a mom in a way. Also the rent is so cheap compared to other 3beds

My bathroom is big and I have washer and dryer hookups! My bedroom is spacious and I have closet space. I have a cute little balcony. In my apartment utilities are included every month. I am very lucky to have Mills Property in my life. I don't know what I would do.

Let themselves in the first time. After a year the wouldn't renew my lease giving me one months notice. Then on the day I left they claimed I left the apt a mess and put a hole in the wall. Also good luck getting a hold of someone they don't answer their phones and leave the office early. Example 1 bathroom ceiling started leaking called the emergency line since it was not during office hours (no answer), they called back asked if we called maintenance. Had to explain to the employee that it was not during office hours no one was there and the ceiling leaking seemed like a "fix it now" problem. Example 2 No prior notice given and would just enter the apartment. Example 3 If something was broken and needed fixing they would find a way to make it your fault, then not fix it and tell you to pay for it. Now that we are trying to rent somewhere else, they have lied on forms asking about our rental history (which I have proof) and compromising any future housing we are considering. Had to leave in a hurry because my car was stolen and I no longer felt safe living on Spring Creek Ave. I asked for more time to clean the place properly but the property manager told me don't worry about it and they have cleaning crews. Ended up charging me an extra $1300 for minimal dirt and wear and tear which included $150 for a dirty fridge and $600 to repaint the place for a few small holes left from a tv mount. I know they're gonna pay someone $150 to come clean the place and pocket close to an extra $1000 from me. Charged me $150 for dirty cabinets still trying to figure that one out. I'll spare you the details of how poor communication and maintenance response times were. Hands down the worst renting experience I've ever had.

The apartment was bearable for the ~two years we lived there. The problem was when we moved out. We…read moremoved out two months early, giving the complex a 60 day notice like we were supposed to. They decided that they needed to replace the carpet in the living room and one bedroom -- that left us with an over $1,300 bill post move out - not including the additional fees ($486).. Keep in mind this is after our deposit was used up so these charges are supposed to come out of our pockets. We had a cat in the apartment but the carpet was not that bad, we didn't destroy anything and we cleaned everything before we left. So these ***holes want me to pay over $1,786 after moving out. So maybe **** these guys and do business elsewhere.

I am a 50 year-old professional moving into the area for work. Most of the apartments I looked at…read morewere pretty much garbage. The one I decided on happened to be with Chandler on Torridge Ave. After they did some updates, the apartment itself wasn't all that bad, but the neighbors upstairs are unbearable. There are clearly two different families living there on different days. One of them thinks it best to clean their apartment between the hours of 10:00pm and 4:00am complete with about 2 hours of vacuuming off and on. The other family just stomped, slammed, yelled and blasted Cypriot music all day and all night. I complained, rightfully so as the 10:00pm to 4:00am is my typical rack time. Chandler clearly has a 3 strikes and you are out (no tolerance) clause for noise complaints. They did NOTHING. I paid my penalty and walked. However, they are in breach of their own contract by not doing anything about these people. My suggestion is if you have a complaint, let's get a Class Action going against this deplorable group. If you haven't gotten sucked in yet, go with someone much more reputable.
