The effect is disjointed, interrupted and a bit disturbing treatment that is skilled but less effective than other more focused and private care. Today I was refused treatment because my blood pressure was volatile, as always, and I had tingly legs and arms, as usual. The difference today was that they measured my blood pressure and realized I was right in what I had told them. They will say they are required to refuse treatment because it is dangerous. It is no more dangerous than other days for me. Dangerous for them perhaps? I got fairly good treatment here, until they realized I had been telling the truth. It took weeks to get an appointment and find a therapy that helped. Then on a day when I really needed help, they refused. This is a no, unless you are young, strong and healthy and your insurance pays on time. My bill got more attention than my health problems today.

My downgrade of stars- as much as I enjoy my NP over the years, I'm really disappointed with lack of response .. I anxiously awaited the results and even though I read them before it being viewed, I never heard back .. This happened late last year as well.. I called and left messages and no response. I think it's time for me to move on and will be seeing a new MD.. Hopefully, one that will respond in a timely fashion..

Even though I understand I signed a no-show and late cancellation policy, I wish there was more understanding for unexpected illness. I have 4 kids. The odds of unexpected illness is fairly high. With something as uncomfortable and invasive as pelvic floor therapy, I would prefer a business that is compassionate and caring. Because of how this was handled, I won't be returning.

I was referred to her by my chiropractor and I'm so glad she did! Pelvic floor therapy is a different ball game but it is just as important as anything physical therapy especially for women's health! What I've learned is, it's not about kegels! I initially came in with an open mind not knowing what to expect and always left feeling great! As women we hold a lot of stress but continue throughout our day just trying to survive and so tension can build up in our pelvic floor. This is where Dr. Kiley comes in to help! Her space is safe and she listens to your concerns. She also gives you homework to do to help with anything she think you need help with. After my postpartum care, she let me know I can come back as needed or until I get pregnant again! ..and here we are! The staff is always cordial and happy to talk to whether it's for checking in/out or making appointments on the phone. Masks are still required at this facility so don't forget your maskies! I recommend Kiley to everyone that ask me who I go to for pelvic floor therapy!

But if you want an orthopod who cares, who is compassionate, who will listen and engage and maybe pull up your films and review them with you, Dr. Shonnard would not be your choice. What happened, Dr. Shonnard? Where did YOU go? You were that fun, smiling, amazing man who my oldest daughter worked for "must have been a very long time ago" (your words). When you did Moma's (hip?), you told us at her hospital bed that you were "going into academia." You were so excited to share that with us and thus, I shared it with friends and strangers over the years, wishing you only love. You left the Reno Orthopedic Clinic (ROC) practice and as far as I knew were still teaching. Imagine my surprise when I found you had gone into private practice. It grieves me -- *GRIEVES ME* -- to leave only my third negative review, but you forced my hand when we mutually fired one another. ME: Quietly, with tears rolling down my face, "I am afraid I won't be back." YOU, DR. SHONNARD: "That will probably be for the best." After manipulating my wounded knees for absolutely no good reason, you then turned and left me to my tears and the kindness of your staff, who held the door and saw me out. My after-care notes have exactly ZERO in them. You did import my meds from MyChart, which, what do I even say because YOU didn't import anything. Again, it was YOUR AMAZING STAFF. I wish you all the very best, Dr. Shonnard. And I pray you find your way back to the man you once were. #SaySomethingWhenYouSeeSomething

During my initial consultation with Dr. Zollinger, I pointed out the exact location of my pain, but…read morehe sat approximately three feet away from me. The surgeon's PA later specifically told me that my pain was coming from my right SI joint. Despite this, the procedures I ultimately received did not target the SI joint. I am particularly concerned because I was told that SI joint ablation is not covered by my insurance. That leaves me questioning why a different procedure was performed and whether insurance coverage influenced what was done. I cannot say that was the reason, but as a patient, I believe it is a reasonable concern when the procedure performed does not match what I understood I was there to receive. I also had a very difficult physical reaction to each procedure. About 10 minutes afterward, I nearly passed out from the extreme pain. This happened after all four procedures--two diagnostic procedures and two actual ablations. None of this was documented in the reports I received. I had to repeatedly call to obtain the reports, and when I asked that my reaction be added to the record, my request was refused. I subsequently sent the reports to my surgeon's PA, who told me that the ablations were for lower back pain. That was not my understanding of what I was supposed to have done, and I have experienced intense lower back pain since the procedures. I am still not certain what was actually targeted. My experience has left me extremely disappointed and concerned about the care I received. I would strongly encourage anyone considering an invasive procedure here to make absolutely certain that the exact area being treated, the specific procedure being performed, and the reason for it are clearly explained and documented beforehand.

It is usually pretty easy to get an appointment but they must adhere to insurance restrictions on timing. Office staff and the docs are all friendly and caring. The office is always sparkling clean. My main complaint is how consent to treatment is handled, it is put in front of the patient as you enter the treatment room with no opportunity to actually read it. It shouldn't be that difficult to hand out the document when you check in to afford a bit of time to read. Patients are only given a copy on request post procedure and I've not been in shape to remember to ask for it then.
