This pertains to an unfortunate encounter with a staff member on Thursday, September 20, 2024, specifically with a therapist named "Alek or Alexis." It is important to note that the front desk staff were present during my visit and were aware of the comments made. Upon my return to address the situation, one of the staff members promptly defended him. The individual receiving treatment is my mother, who was referred for physical therapy by her physician. Initially, we had the pleasure of working with a therapist named "Victoria", who was outstanding--professional, empathetic, and highly skilled. She inspired hope in us, and we eagerly anticipated our sessions. Regrettably, she has since departed. Subsequently, we began sessions with Alek, who, from the very beginning, made several discouraging comments, including: 1. Questioning our presence in therapy. 2. Indicating that my mother's evaluation suggested she was unlikely to improve, thereby questioning our reasons for attending. 3. Stating that this is not a gym for entertainment, implying that if we wanted that, we could go to a gym, and making remarks about individuals attempting to exploit the system for no valid reason. I was taken aback by his rudeness, as it felt as though he was accusing us of dishonesty and trying to take advantage of the system. I was shocked that he spent the entire hour of our first interaction merely reiterating why we were there. It felt as though he was suggesting we should leave. Engaging with him became increasingly intimidating, as he made me feel like a liar and that we had no right to be there. The reality is that he seemed disinterested in working with my mother, preferring instead to handle only straightforward cases where he could simply direct patients without much effort. 4. He indicated that if we did not attend sessions at least twice a week, we would face removal from the program, a statement the front desk staff later clarified as inaccurate. 5. In the second session, he made an inappropriate remark regarding my mother taking an extended time in the restroom, plus he mentioned that she likes to talk suggesting that she was doing that to avoid exercising. I would like to respond to that by saying that if he truly possessed the experience he claimed, he should know how to gently and respectfully redirect her conversation to encourage her to continue exercising as she is a senior person. 6. He stated that he found it challenging to work with her due to her slower pace compared to other seniors, plus safety issue, suggesting he was overwhelmed with patients and needed to focus on those who could keep up. It seemed as though we were being encouraged to leave the office because of his reluctance to assist my mother, as he provided various justifications related to our attendance. I shared my work obligations and emphasized that I am her primary caregiver. After discussing with the front desk staff, I discovered that the assertions regarding removal from the program for missed sessions were baseless. We eventually scheduled appointment requesting another therapist who have experience and knowledge, not bothered by patient and select what he/she want. I never see such a thing, I even asked about such behavior, no one agreed. My advice if you want to work in a field in the medical industry you need to be patient and passionate, it is not all about money. It is important to address the front desk staff regarding the situation with Alex as they seemed to be defending him. It appears that rather than offering assistance, he was more focused on expelling us from the premises. We expect to be treated with respect as clients, especially in a business context. We are not here to deceive or seek entertainment; this experience has been quite disheartening and has left us in disbelief. It is truly unfortunate and disappointing.

When my spinal Orthro from Houston gave me PT orders to use where I wanted for a back injury, I started searching. I'm so glad I did. After reading reviews online, I gave them a try. This is a small, stand alone, physical therapy office. They are not tied to a particular Ortho practice, they earn their business based on service. Allison is my therapist and I can't say enough good things about her. She's very knowledgeable, caring and will treat you like you're her family member. She's very easy to be around, and has a genuine concern for your well-being and good health. Jason, the owner is also a PT, and while I only work with Allison, the environment is such that I hear the same care and concern he has for his patients. The atmosphere is easy-going and friendly, the entire office will know you by name on your second visit. If you're looking for PT, give them a try. Your physician should be willing to give you PT orders to use where you choose. Love this place and so glad to have found them.

After calling around, I chose Spring Klein Physical Therapy because they took my insurance and had a good Yelp rating. Stephanie. I thinks she's somehow related to Mr. Miyage from Karate Kid. She literally had me do some wax on, wax off exercises, but amongst all the stuff she had me do - I'm out of my sling and my arm is working again. I'm not trying to sugar coat anything, you have to work for it - but she will get you mobile again. So, if your body's check engine light is on, or you're having trouble twisting the pop top off - get in here and get moving again. I came to this clinic for pelvic floor therapy, while managing complex chronic pain, fibromyalgia,…read moreand ongoing issues around the thoracic area in my back, right hip and leg. I was very transparent during my evaluation about my limitations -- especially pain in my right femur and hip, and other parts of my body exacerbated by the fibromyalgia. The young lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful in scheduling my appointments. Unfortunately though, the rest of my experience was incredibly disappointing. I just had 2 sessions in total, which were more than enough for the bad experience. During my first session, I was in visible pain and discomfort, and I showed it and expressed it clearly. Yet, after the evaluation part, the therapist often seemed more focused on another client in the room, engaging in long conversations while giving me minimal direction. Instead of clear, personalized instructions, she silently demonstrated movements for me to copy while having a conversation back and forth with the other client -- without looking at me, speaking to me, or checking if I was doing them safely or correctly. It felt impersonal and awkward -- like I was just there in the background. During the second session, despite my visible pain, which I expressed again verbally and physically, I was put through repetitive lower body movements and leg exercises that made things worse. By the next morning, I was in excruciating pain and, thankfully, had an appointment with my pain management doctor. He diagnosed hip bursitis, likely triggered or worsened by the session, and I had to receive an ultrasound-guided steroid injection; for which I needed to stop the sessions for that whole week. I sent a detailed message to the therapist the day after, explaining what happened and asking for guidance. I even called the clinic to make sure the message was received. It took almost a week to get a response -- which was a two-sentence message minimizing it as "a lot of muscle soreness." She didn't acknowledge the diagnosis, the injection, or my experience. What's especially frustrating is that this therapist claims to have fibromyalgia herself, and I expected a level of understanding and compassion. What I received instead was a rushed, impersonal, and dismissive experience -- and worse, a physical setback. At that point it was obviously clear that I needed to cancel all my future appointments in that clinic, and look for real help somewhere else. I hope this feedback encourages the clinic to reflect on how patients with chronic pain and complex conditions are treated. Pelvic floor therapy is intimate, vulnerable, and requires individualized, attentive care. I didn't receive that here, and it left me in worse shape than when I arrived.

While they couldn't do much for the sports injury (required surgical repair), they have been helping her with the other issues. She has experienced better sleep and improved posture, so far. We are going into the once a month phase of her treatment and are hopeful it continues to help her. We have had an amazing experience so far and highly recommend this amazing team of healthcare professionals.

I felt rushed, as if on an assembly line, and the adjustment was unsatisfactory. Although a simple adjustment is a covered service with my insurance carrier, with a $0 copay, the receptionist and office manager refused to bill for the service and demanded I pay the full charge, $50.00 (This was after I declined to schedule multiple other services.) I paid the $50.00 charge and left. I reached out to my insurance carrier for reimbursement assistance and they advised charging me was a breach of the provider's contract and the carrier attempted to reach out to the provider to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, they were met with hostility and defensiveness from the office manager, along with a flat refusal to reimburse for the service. I won't return to this provider, ever.
