My parents are finally open to having some light housekeeping done, and I can see a need for more services in the coming months and years so I was very interested in the flexible range of services 'Right at Home' offers. I gave them a call a few days ago, actually got the director on the phone, and she was great. I was already sold on giving them a try (parents have final say how much help and when of course). ... then, same day, one of my parents had an acute situation- sent home from Urgent Care after a number of scans and tests with directions to do things that I felt totally unprepared/unequipped to do. I was overwhelmed (not just by this, but also by the fact that the 'other' parent had just been released from the hospital and I am the only caregiver). I called R@H just out of desperation not really expecting much more than a possible lead... but they had been so kind. Long story short, within a little over an hour, they had rearranged schedules and had a wonderful RN at my parents' home who helped us through this current 'crisis', and taught me how to handle it going forward. This was exactly what my parent needed in that moment - and, frankly, what I needed... I can't thank them enough. As my parents warm to more assistance, I absolutely am calling Right at Home - Hopefully ASAP!

I had a face lift and it was important to have fewer straps on my face or it would ruin my face Lucy which was both expensive and painful. The respiratory therapist would not return my call. I kept calling back. The person who answered the phone informed me I couldn't change masks for 6 months. That made me really mad. The facelift cost $14000+. I was certainly going to pay for a mask if I couldn't get coverage. I tried to explain that to her. She didn't seem to hear. She said I couldn't get a new mask for 6 months and I also couldn't get a fitting. After all the years I got supplies through Apria, they couldn't even help me figure out what size I needed on the mask my doctor recommended. I had to guess. I spent a lot of money just figuring out what size I needed. My doctor didn't like the service I got so she changed me to a different company. That company wasn't any better so she sent me to a third company. I finally ended up going back to Apria. This fiasco caused me to have to pay for my supplies for almost a year even though I have insurance coverage. The old respiratory therapist at Tulsa Apria left. I like the new one. She was very helpful, so they fixed what was wrong and I will stay with Apria as long as she's there. I would like to suggest that people working for Cpap supply companies not tell customers they can only get a new mask every 6 months. They could instead say that insurance will only pay for new head gear every 6 months and if they need to change before that, they have to pay for it. If the customer is willing to pay, they should help them figure out the right size.

I just want to be heard…read more I gave everything I had as a caregiver with Amada Senior Care Tulsa Oklahoma-- 40-60 hour weeks, full dedication, and love for the families I cared for. I spoke up for their safety, asking again and again that only trained caregivers be sent. Instead of support, I was ignored and then punished. After June 16th, I was completely cut off. My hours were taken; i was told repeatedly there was no work to be had from june20th until july3rd. I was removed from AXIScare (so I couldn't even see shifts) and taken off COAChUp -- the portal that was supposed to recognize and uplift employees. My supervisor told me he was the "highest level" and that I could "only talk to him -- not HR, not scheduling, not anyone else." I was left isolated, erased, and voiceless. Amada talks about God, family, grace, and Agape love. But I never experienced that. What I experienced was retaliation, abandonment, and hurt. I can't afford an attorney, and no one seems able to help me, but I refuse to stay silent. I want people to know the truth of how caregivers can be treated behind the scenes. If you want to know more, message me. the one star is for the in-house staff that treated me very badly. My supervisor, Hr. I tried to let the CEO know but never got a response from him...
