I also had a broken gold anklet chain soldered as well as a broken-off piece from a gold-plated hoop earring. The final item was a rare high-grade sugilite silver ring I had purchased back in August that needed gentle polishing. Everything was perfectly done. I had come in the week of Thanksgiving and all of it was done by the second week of December. Make sure to say hi to Dalia while you're there. Here's the pricing: $150 for restringing pearls and replacing the clasp and tongue; $40 for soldering the earring part; $35 for soldering the gold chain on the anklet; $50 for tightening the diamond on the engagement ring (they added more platinum to help secure the setting); and $70 for gently polishing the sugilite ring without scratching it! TWO MONTHS LATER, I received my own yellow gold cross that had simply been extended and formed into a ring. That was it. No white gold band. My own extended, ring-shaped yellow gold cross. For the sum of $500.00, I received a $40 ring, obtainable through Etsy. I would never do business with this place again. They are far more interested in buying used gold from walk-ins than in actually making jewelry. And they are rather rude at it to boot. EDIT: To the shop owner's response: I picked up the right because it was days before Christmas and it was a gift. If your representation is now that you will make the ring as I originally requested, I will bring it back into your shop so you may do so. Hopefully, I will then be able to amend this review.
