I stayed at this hotel for one night on 7th August. The room was rather shabby, a tiny TV, one minature bottle of shower gel (between 3 people), the lock on the door was almost impossible to use and the headboards were loose.
That said, the worst part of our stay was when we had dinner in the hotel. After ordering our drinks and food, our drinks arrived and then we were completely neglected for a full hour! Our food hadn't arrived and no one had asked if we wanted more drinks. I had to go and find a staff member at the reception desk to ask why we'd been waiting so long. He said 'we've got a wedding on and so all the food orders have been held up.' I went and sat back at the table and waited a further 15 minutes before the food arrived!
After finishing the food it seems we were completely neglected yet again. As we'd now been sat at the table for 2 and a half hours, we just wanted to pay the bill and go to our room. However, the staff were nowhere to be found. Yet again I had to leave the table, go to the reception and track down some staff. I asked if I could pay the bill and he said 'I'll be with you in a minute.' I returned to the table and waited a further 10 minutes! Still no staff. Again I went to reception and said 'can I just pay now?' He told me to go and wait in the bar area. I stood there for 10 more minutes. By this time I was just really frustrated. The staff had kept us waiting all evening and didn't seem to care at all. I went back to the reception and insisted that I paid now. Eventually, they swiped my card.
It was an awful experience and the staff didn't even apologise for all the delays and waiting. They just didn't seem to care. As were were a guest at the hotel, this is even more shocking. I dread to think how they treat non-guests in the restaurant. The customer service we received was absolutely appalling and I would never go back to a place that treats its guests in this way. read more
