A lot of other great stuff followed). The beers were great, in particular the Gueuze which was refreshingly sour and smooth. The people were friendly and it's a fun place to kick back and check out the local beer scene. Highly recommended! TIP: Be sure to check their hours, as we were told they're not open all the time. The tour went through the old brewery from soup to nuts, explaining how the beer was made from scratch right now there is a mile long pipe underground that connects the brewery to the bottling plant. The pipe goes underneath the city and people who helped crowd source the building of the pipe are entitled to free beer for the rest of their lives, depending what they donated.

Turns out that the guy sitting on the stool next to me did speak Russian, so that was out of the question. Still, great little cafe, and excellent location on the Grote Markt overlooking the town hall. Very relaxing, and excellent choices in beers.
