Very usefully just down the road is a chip shop, so you can get fish and chips - and an ice cream dessert to follow.

However, a 24 hour convenience store in a town with a population of 8,000, half of them students? It'd be a struggle for it NOT to be popular. The discerning student should save his or her money and buy food somewhere better - may I recommend Spartacus for a sandwich, or even Wetherspoon. The products are overpriced and often out of date, the staff in my experience usually rude, and the queues horrendous. I haven't even mentioned the Onion Bhaji I bought once, which was the size and toughness of an unexploded World War 1 bomb. Never again! The potato wedges are alright, though. Go there if everywhere else is closed and you're desperate for a pot noodle.

When we stayed at Brynowen we found that from our caravan at least Nisa wasn't significantly further to walk to than the camp shop so going there was a no-brainer really. The shop is very nicely presented, offers some decent promotions and the staff were all polite and friendly. There a cash machine outside although there is a charge for withdrawals so better to get cashback in the shop. Having said that you need more than a fiver to pay by card.
