I called this place and left a voicemail and someone called me back right away. They said 'yes' we take them. They gave me the hours of operation and directions. When I pulled into the parking lot all I saw were parking spots and a sign on the first door that said 'use the other door' but NO sign directing where to drop off. So I parked, when in the 'other door' and I nice lady said 'just drive around back'. That's all she said. As I was driving around back, I then noticed a sign on the 'side' of the building which you WOULD NOT SEE as you pull into the parking lot. It said 'donations' in the rear. NO one was there to receive donations. It's NOT LIKE Goodwill. They won't offer to give you a receipt for your donation for tax consideration. I just dropped of the wire shelves. There is NO ONE there to help if you need assistance, you're on your on. I think former Pres, Jimmy Carter would have been disappointed at the lack of organization.

The service was terrible. I called to donate a couch, hauled it on a truck, and out to Habitat. There wasn't a single tear and to make matters worse, the chair was upside down. I explained that it's normal wear and tear as she continued shaking her head looking for imperfections. I'm not sure what kind of brand new furniture they're looking for and I understand that they can't take just anything but my goodness.

As a consigner, volunteer and shopper I've been able to see the dedication put in to all aspects of the sale. Although the location is not consistent, the WeeSale team announces their biannual sale in Rock Hill on their website and Facebook. Entry dates for shoppers and volunteers are dependent on your volunteer or consigner status. The owner is great at getting back to those who may be confused. When shopping on the first few days clothes are marked as is. Consigners have listed their own prices on items so it's easy to get a great steal. However towards the end of the sale, items can go reduced so clothes and other items are sold at a faster rate. The website is easy to navigate and consigner logins are easy to retrieve. It's important to keep up with registration dates because spots fill quickly. However you can always register later as a restock. Make sure to read the emails, especially if you're a registered consigner because important information such as setting up your drop off time or volunteer times for early access is all done via email. I've made some great money just through consigning my clothes!

I absolutely love this place!…read more Renewing our Community or ROC offers members of the Rockhill community a sense of church leadership, community environment, health services and even manage to provide a thrift store! The mission is simple "Our People. Our Community. Our Responsibility. We can do this!" What more positive then people of the community uplifting other people in the community! Everyone that works here volunteers their time and you can tell they love what they are doing. Everyone here is greeted and friend and treated with so much dignity. It's such an awesome experience to see! My church Missions and Outreach group hosted a spaghetti lunch. Normally they aren't a able to do good unless a group sponsors it. But they do provide 2 snacks a day. The setup was so easy, everyone there helped us out and we were serving up warm meals in no time. It was such a rewarding experience. If you're looking for a place to volunteer or serve up meals or just spend some time with folks in the community I'd recommend heading over to the ROC!

It was created to provide community and church leadership to care for the overall health of the community by assisting those in need, moving them from hopelessness to hope. In the last five years ROC has served more than 85,000 client visits. In 2011 we were busy serving ten clients per day. Now, that number has rocketed to nearly 100 clients each day, far exceeding initial projections, and the number of daily visitors continues to grow. Located in the heart of downtown Rock Hill, ROC Central is our hub. Open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday, ROC Central relies primarily on volunteers and local donations. More than half of the people who enter ROC Central are experiencing an emergency in their lives. These are neighbors without clothes, food, housing, and/or electricity. ROC Central provides essential services including an emergency food pantry, clothes closet and transportation. To assist with power and utility shut offs we work closely with area churches, businesses, and Carolina Community Action. Many of our ROC Central clients are repeat visitors, looking for day shelter from the elements, but also guidance and long term help. As the number of daily clients rises, so do the needs. ROC Central has responded by offering several programs that provide relief and renewal.
