Loyola RV refused to give our $200 reservation fee back. Normally that would be understandable however the no refund policy seemed to be made up after the fact. We requested that they direct us to the policy on their website but they gave us a screenshot of something that wasn't posted on their website. The policy was never discussed at the time of the booking and it isn't posted on their website. In fact the only conformation we received was a text with their rates and a note stating that the $100 deposit was refundable. They lied to us about turning people away because we reserved two slots and lied about discussing the no refund policy at the time of the reservation. Finally, we drove through their RV campground and found that they were able to rent the two slots we had canceled. This means they received $200 extra for renting the same spots twice.

With the advent of Bluetooth speakers, the pools are no longer relaxing. In regards to the pools, I've also noticed large groups forcing other guests out, by way of loud music, and actually encroaching on their personal space. Excessive noise after quiet hour was also an issue. The park staff has had to deal with disrespectful and aggressive guests while trying to do their jobs with no repercussions. I didn't use any of the amenities, so I won't speak to them. However, I will talk about the things that matter to me when I'm traveling. 1. The price for an overnight stay was very affordable. 2. The gentleman who checked me in was fast and friendly. He even changed my site so that I didn't have to hunt for my 50 amp converter. Lord knows I probably wouldn't have found it easily. 3. My site was very easy to pull into. It was a very level graveled site. It had about 15 feet of space on either side of it. I did not feel boxed in. 4. In the morning, when I am ready to get on my way, there is no checkout procedure. I can simply pull out and be on my way. 5. The park was very well laid out. It was nice and tidy. And, most importantly, it was very quiet. If I were going to live in Falfurrias, for any length of time, I think this would be a very nice park to choose for my stay. I highly recommend it for anybody who is traveling through. I will be back in a week to stay another night on my return trip.

The older part at $25 a night is an absolute dump and has water and electric. There is a dump available right there. Sites are extremely close. Your picnic table is a few feet from the neighbor's table end to end with the RVs being parked on the outside of the tables putting them right between the RVs. If you want to sit at your table and eat or talk, you are just a few feet from your neighbor. The road is is horrible. Be careful of the big holes. There is a bathroom shower house in the old section but it is permanently shut down so you have to go to the one in the new section that is 3/10 of a mile away. Yes, I checked it. You cannot cut across the field as there is water flowing through it and very tall, at least waist high weeds. If you need a quick dump, fill, and place to spend the night and don't plan on leaving your RV it is tolerable. If you want a place to enjoy your spot, be outside, or even speak to each other without the neighbors 5 feet away, either pay $50 or move on. Just as an FYI they do have a coyote problem so do not leave pets or kids outside alone. This is not an isolated problem and is not just this spot. But is something to be aware of.

Lots of people bring canopies, and we saw some that had bag holders for the canopies so your beach bag isn't full of sand on the bottom. We'd also advise a picnic/outdoor blanket to set stuff on and cup holders that go into the sand to hold your beverage. It's fun to watch the local surf school give lessons, and there are lots of locals/families.

Our arrival and site assignment simple. We backed into our bay view space and set up for our week stay. First the park is perfect a outstanding view of the inland waterway into Corpus Christy harbors and Bay. My sister lives close by and came to breakfast several times during our stay and joined us for the typical tourist attractions of the area. The pro and cons of our stay. PRO'S there's a small local dive bar one block from the front gate. There's a food truck outside to die for. Top the with live music and our stay was truly a good time. Cons We can't stop this time but will when we will again soon. The new owners and management people are very nice and the dive bar and food truck are a huge draw.

The food is excellent and prepared by a chef. The lodge and rooms are very clean and nice. We slept well. All of the guides we met were very professional and friendly. I am already looking at my calendar to book the next trip.
