DO NOT BOOK sand pebbles Inn I recently booked 2 rooms for 2…read morenights at this Inn for vacation because I saw it had a promotion going on and it was located at a very convenient location. The promotion brought the price down to $99 per night for those 2 rooms, which totaled $529. I gave them my credit card info to pay after my stay however, after checking the statements on my card, they overcharged me $100. I have called the company several times but staff told me they couldn't refund the $100, they said they would tell the manager but I've waited 7 days as of April 30, and still no response. Not to mention the state of the Inn was also lacking. They have very old and clunky appliances that barely work. My family of 4 didn't even have places to sit because only three chairs in the room but 1 was broken. The overall state of the room shows how little they cared about maintaining a clean living space as there were countless insects roaming around. Please don't make the same mistake I do, even if you do plan on staying here DO NOT give them your credit card information because they WILL charge you whatever they want.

Unless you like the smell of mold/mildew penitrating so bad that the smell is on your clothes after you return home, even the clothes you didnt take out of your suitcase! And dont mind spiders in your stinky banana shaped mattress (undoubtedly unchanged for the last 3 decades or so), or you dont mind that your window locks are broken, (oh and no screens for the friendly Yellow jackets) and the shower is so worn and gross you wish that you were tent camping instead. Welcome to French Creek Cottages, well to be fair the one we stayed in excepted dogs. We asked for a cottage that excepted dogs not a dog cottage. Honestly it was horrible. Not sure how the other places were but being that it was July 18th weekend, peak season and they still had plenty of vacanies that could be a sign. They have some nerve charging $200 for a $55 motel. This is coming from well seasoned travelers who feel as comfortable in a 5 start hotel as in a 2 man tent with no facilities near by. One word that describes this place is NASTY! I found this bed and breakfast on hotels.com and it had rave reviews. I had no idea what to expect as B&Bs can truly be hit or miss (I've stayed in many throughout the world). Boy were my husband and I pleasantly surprised. Not only is this B&B adorable, but it's also quiet, owned by an amazing and kind couple (Angelo and Jayne), is extremely clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. Jayne was so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. She explained the house and the amenities thoroughly upon check-in and provided excellent service without being overbearing which I loved. Great service for sure. We received a key to our room and also a key to the front door so we could come and go as we pleased. There was a little sitting/common area in the entry that they always left a nightlight on so we weren't lost in the dark coming back to the hotel. Jayne also had a mini fridge in the common area full of bottled water, and she even tucked some milk in there for my tea. Our room was very spacious with a king sized bed, full bathroom, TV, and a gas fireplace on a thermostat control. Everything was meticulously cleaned and we felt so comfortable and relaxed. Jayne let us know that whatever time we preferred to have breakfast would be perfect for them. Upon awaking after our first night (which we slept like the dead in our cozy and quiet room), we walked through the main part of the house to the dining area where Angelo made us an amazing breakfast. The spread was amazing and right from meeting both Jayne and Angelo you can tell they are very passionate about serving people. My only complaint is that we were only there for 36 hours and I wish we could have stayed longer! Great great place to stay if you are heading to Qualicum Beach or the surrounding area. There were plenty of lighting options and the heating unit worked well. The toilet was slightly higher than average which was great. The pressure in the shower was also above average. It took me a few minutes to realize the towels are kept on the the cupboard shelf and the tissue box in a nightstand cubby. The young man on the desk was a pleasure to deal with. I couldn't ask for more for my weekend away. A delightful find.
