This station originally spanned Pine Street, but during renovations in 1988 it was moved to the inside of Westlake Center shopping mall. Which means you can access this via the mall or from street level. If you choose street level, be ready for climbing some stairs. Before coming here, I made sure to purchase an Orca card to make transitioning through the stations easier. The trains run frequently and steady. It wasn't long before I arrived at the station and the train arrived. Coming back to the station was much easier than I expected. I ended up exiting through the mall to cut some time off with traversing the streets. Plus it also let me avoid a hill outside.

For walk-ons, they recommend getting there at least 15 minutes in advance. For driving on, it is recommended to get there at least 30 minutes in advance. The ferry runs roughly every 50-60 minutes - the schedule is posted on their website. For us, we decided to drive. On the way to Bainbridge, the car price ($27.81) included the cost of the driver, but we had to pay an additional $11.69 for an adult passenger. The kids were free. On the way back to Seattle, we just had to pay the car price (return tickets are free). We spent well over 3 hours with the ferry due to getting there early to enter the queue, loading/unloading, a delay, and then the transit time on the Puget Sound. For the queue, cars are lined up in columns with employees directing traffic. Once we parked, we were free to explore the upper passenger levels. The ferry is massive, so there is plenty of seating inside and a good amount of railing space on the outside if you want an unobstructed view. In my opinion, of all the different scenic spots we tried to visit, this ride gave the best views of Seattle. Restrooms on board. Coolest sighting - if you watch the water, every now and then, you'll see an Egg Yolk Jellyfish. They're bright yellow and grow up to two feet in diameter. Is it worth it? I think if you have time to spare, it's something worth doing. Definitely avoid if you're in a rush. Brendan's Rating: 4.8 Charlotte's Rating: 4.0 Shanying's Rating: 3.0 Winston's Rating: 4.0

Highly unprofessional. No communication at all -- announcement about a delay, the cause, when we can expect progress, apology, etc. Let's see when we actually depart. Apparently, just found out it's pretty common for it to be delayed by an hour. Then they should adjust their schedule accordingly. People make plans around schedules! We need transportation schedules to be relatively accurate. DEPARTURE 2:48. 38 minute delay.

The station actually feels like a ride platform at an amusement park rather than for public transit. I mean, that makes sense, seeing how the same type of monorail was used at Disney. The novelty of this platform makes it feel almost like a movie set. Like the other end of this system. Trains run frequently and consistently. If you hit it between runs, you might have a longer wait, and the platform may feel up with more people. Once on the train, just sit back and enjoy the ride.

We boarded at 6pm by MOHAI, and took off on a 3-hour tour of the waterways near Seattle. The boat was great - there was a ton of seats, some up on the deck by the Captain, some on the front and rear of the boat, and also some inside the lower deck, if you happened to be cold or wanted to get out of the sun. The weather was perfect on our day, however, so we got to enjoy the outdoors and being on the water. Kelley was a great guy, easygoing and very knowledgeable about the entire region. You can see the famous floating houses (including the one used in the film Sleepless in Seattle), the University of Washington, tons of amazing waterfront homes (including those of Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Russell Wilson), and some historic bridges. Like I said, the vibe was extremely chill, the cooler was open for adult beverages as well as non-alcoholic, and Kelley even has two really sweet dogs on board - which our kids absolutely loved.
