I didn't give them 5 stars because, while the care has been great for me and my 5 kids (we go there for cleanings and the occasional cavity), I had one issue with the dentist. He suggested some work on my teeth that that added up to a couple thousand, I felt wasn't necessary right now and the dental work added up to a couple thousand, --it was mostly cosmetic stuff that my insurance wouldn't cover and would cost a lot. My biggest problem was with the orthodontist. They have one there on Mondays and Thursdays. My son needed braces, and they recommended him, so I assumed they took our insurance since it's the same office. But they don't, and now I'm stuck paying for the braces for around 5 years. I wish they had made it clear that the insurance wouldn't cover anything before we went ahead. They said they would check with my insurance but to fill out paper work to apply for a credit card they offer just in case. They kept saying my insurance had not gotten back to them when I got my first payment bill from the C.C. then my second and finally they came back and said my insurance would not cover it but this time it was to late and yes I have tried to appeal it through the credit card company and my insurance and there has been no resolution both sides say they can't do anything for us. We're not wealthy--we're actually living paycheck to paycheck. If I had known, I would have looked for an orthodontist who did take our insurance. It felt like they didn't really care about our financial situation and were more focused on making a sale. I think doctors should care about their patients' needs, not just their own profits. It felt like they weren't worried about whether I could afford the braces or even pay my rent. I wish they had more empathy and thought about what's best for their patients, not just their own pockets.

I needed a dentist for my normal 6 month cleaning and I also cracked what I thought was a crown. During the cleaning it revealed my tooth was cracked with only one root holding it in place. But I had no pain. When I was told there was an opening later in the day I scheduled for that. The tooth was removed with no issues. Now I will schedule having an implant to fill the gap. This time around I went to Brighton Dental Care, I very nervous but was assured there would be no pain. They were 100% correct! It didn't hurt at all and was over in under two minutes. It was the end of the year so I was able to go back to back. The dishonest part was they billed my insurance for another procedure that hadn't started. Blue Cross made them send the funds back. The office manager denied the billing, but Blue Cross kept me up on everything and had them red flagged to be watched.
