They would never show me the results of the mold testing and now I have health issues. The Property Management is a joke at Sand Cove. There's always some kind of issue... water is turned off due to plumbing issues, elevators not working because they are too cheap to fix it the correct way. And never any compensation for the inconvenience of these issues. Sure the views are great but its an unsafe neighborhood. I was assaulted, had a gun pointed at me, and my paddleboards were stolen... yet management did nothing about it. Still no security is in place at the complex eventhough they promised security when I signed my lease. It no longer exists because they are trying to "cut costs". Again, I was assalted by a neighbor & nothing was done about it. My paddleboards were also stolen on the property and they didn't do anything to help me recover them. None of the security cameras work or they are conveniently pointed in the wrong direction so Sand Cove is never to blame. Criminals live there & guns have been pointed at neighbors, yet management does nothing. Packages also get stolen all the time by the mailboxes. Such poor management. I've also never felt such discrimination. Wendy, the apartment manager, will tell you exactly what you want to hear so you will sign the lease... then you are on your own! They do as little as possible & only fix the important things in the cheapest way possible. They've also walked into my apartment unannounced numerous times. No privacy. They've raised the rent and charge for other things at any time (storage, carports, water/sewer). YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

My boyfriend and I were looking for places to live in Sarasota due to work and then this place…read morepopped up in St Pete Beach, so long story short I convinced my boyfriend even though the distance was kinda far to Sarasota for work, I just wanted to see it so we decided to schedule an appointment. We arrived to the apartment complex and right off the back I knew this was the one. The exterior of the building was in great shape, the views were incredible, surveillance was all around the building, and the cherry on top was that we got a couple waives from the residents pulling in. I WAS SOLD BEFORE I EVEN SPOKE TO WENDY!! LOL. So.......I call Wendy (the property manager) and she says "I'm standing outside and i'm behind you".....(TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE....SHE WAS WAITING FOR OUR ARRIVAL AND MADE US FEEL SO WELCOMING !!!!!!! We walked into the office and the rest was history. We toured a couple units and we picked one out that we absolutely are in love with and enjoy very much. Wendy has been such a sweetheart to work with and she's very professional, very quick to respond to your emails and picks up right away when you call her, she's honest/transparent and most importantly she's amazing at what she does and I truly enjoy every moment I interact with Wendy. She TRULY CARES ABOUT HER JOB AND YOU! She's by far the best property manager I've ever dealt with and she truly deserves recognition for this! Everyone in the building has been so welcoming, friendly and it's just an amazing community! The maintenance guy is another story LOL (I forgot his name my apologies we just moved in 2 days ago) but long story short he's absolutely amazing and deserves a shout out also. I needed to borrow a pair of pliers so I went to Wendy's office and she called him and she said he'll meet you at your unit. Literally by the time I got to my door, he was there with 2 pairs of pliers and said I could keep one and return the other one to his unit on site.I asked "you're giving me these? " He replied with "yes" and I was just so thankful to him and he was just so great!!!!! He told me his unit number so after I was done, I went to drop them off to his unit and he introduced me with welcoming arms to meet his wife. WHAT GREAT PEOPLE AND ONCE AGAIN MADE ME FEEL AT HOME AND SAFE. Thank you so much to everyone at Sand Cove Apartments, Wendy and maintenance guy LOL It's been such a great time and we are so thankful for y'all. Gio/Griffin

So insulting, rude, not helpful and plain poor representation of the Epic. You see I lived at the Epic when it first opened and I can tell you the women who worked there then vs this lady is very, very different. Why would anyone act this way, to anyone and not just be nice! Then her reaction when I wanted her get her photo for her bad behavior was insane,

The maintenance staff usually come same or next day after requesting their services and are great. Amenities are well maintained and kept looking nice. The apartments are decent, and exactly what you'd expect from a slightly older building run by corporate entities and a bottom line. Nitpicky details: If there are broken rules that impede on the convenience of the staff, it's addressed in a lengthy email. If the only ones bothered are residents, they don't do much. My primary example is pet waste. People just leave dog poop everywhere and I can't even use my porch on a windy day because it just smells like old, hot, poo from all the pet waste people don't pick up and the office doesn't address it.

We moved in under the old management. Since The Connor Group took it over, everything went downhill…read morequickly! They got rid of major things like nightly security, the morning cleaning crew, pool and lawn maintenance and general upkeep. The Boulevard was beautifully maintained before and had gorgeous flowers, bushes, trees and lawn. Now it's dried out and unkept. Because of the lack of security, more random people and teens are using the pool and amenities all hours of the day/night. Using the grill areas are now disgustingly dirty. No one cleans the tables, chairs, surface areas or changes out the trash cans. This also includes the gazebo, pool and pool bathroom areas. They are so dirty. Most of the "luxury" amenities are broken most of the time as well. This includes the inside lap pool (if that's what you call it), car wash hose, car vacuum, and inside amenities such as ac not working for a month inside our apartment! We moved out once we saw the increase in rent by hundreds of $$ a month, plus adding mandatory cable/ internet, parking, doubled trash pick up and a much lower standard of living. The Connor Group is the absolute worst. Read reviews on all of their properties also on the Better Business Bureau. Do Not rent anywhere that this group owns. You'll save yourself a lot of grief and money.

They don't fix air conditioning units. On a positive note, your apartment becomes a sauna. That's resort like. They are raising rent 800.00, plus forced cable from spectrum, charging per parking space. When one tenant reported that she couldn't afford that big of rent hike. The manager stated that she should eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They now are in the process of painting the building (AGAIN) 3 times in three years. It's a beautiful shade of slightly darker blue now. I suppose it's camouflaging the (CRAP) this place truly is. So, if your looking for glam on the outside sprinkled with disrespectful management, inside appearance that falls apart and you love overpaying for your home for status reasons. This is the place for you. Stay out of the pool and don't ask for any maintenance or assistance and you will be fine.

It's almost like you feel like the burden asking them basic questions, like some of the stuff I've experienced in the just the last month. For example they randomly deactivated my key fob so I couldn't get into my apartment one day :) even tho I've never missed rent once. They also switched my call box number so I couldn't get in that way either. When I brought this up to them not once did they say sorry, they fixed it which was great but seemed pissed off that I'm even asking them to fix there mess up. My bad I guess lol, then today my car got hit and ran in the parking lot so I assumed oh I'll go ask to see the cameras and that'll give me an answer. They have no cameras except for there workout rooms and the pool. So no luck there for me either. It's just disappointing paying 2k+ for a 1 bed and we can't even get cameras in the parking lots for safety measures, just kinda crazy for 2026 imo
