We used Sears duct cleaning for our dryer vent on Nov.18,22. We had people in our home for 3 weeks use our dryer before it shut down. Found out by dryer repair man it was temp sensor which we had replaced before 6 months earlier. He said there was alot of lint in the duct and I should get it clean as soon as possible or it will happen again. So I contacted Sears to see if they would honor there work. After calling them no answer left message and no call back. I call them again only to be told the warranty is good for only 30 days. Even only using dryer for 3 weeks having to pay $240 for dryer repair man because they didn't clean vent thoroughly. She said that she would talk to here supervisor about it and get back to me. No call back, what a surprise. Will not use them again. read more

Coming home from work on a Friday evening, the garage door wouldn't open. Turns out one the the springs snapped, and needed a replacement. After making several phone calls, I heard back from Sears and they were able to come by the next day to repair it. Saturday afternoon, 2 professional young men arrived and replaced the springs and did a complete inspection of the door and its components. I had Sears clean my air vents, It was the biggest rip off I ever had pulled on me. It was advertised as a $99 special but by the time the fast talking and smooth "salesman/technician " was finished it came out to $2900. COMPLETE FRAUD. Technician did a lazy job and essentially pooled dirt at edges of rooms. Tells me not to inspect after he finishes, as walking on wet carpet will cause damage. When I complained scheduler was rude and indignant. I own 4 rentals and I've NEVER had issues like this this with Stanley Steamer. read more

When paying with a check, we were asked to provide personal information including drivers license number, height, and birth date. This is an unacceptable policy and is extremely antiquated. We provided a check with the residential address matching the service address and showed a drivers license which had a matching name and address to the check and service address. This should be more than enough to prove that the check is valid. Asking more than that is unacceptable and no other business does that I'm this day and age. The driver then took the check, that they would not accept, back to their truck while he waited for us to make a payment over the phone with their office. Very unprofessional. TERRIBLE!!! The absolute WORST carpet cleaning job EVER. EXTREMELY Unprofessional. Carpets that were given VERY LITTLE EFFORT to clean by the technician still look like CRAP. Do yourself a favor - HIRE SOMEONE ELSE - anyone else could do a better job. This outfit has the WORST customer "service" - if you can call it "service" that I have ever experienced. Requested my phone number be corrected 3 times - and they still called the wrong number. Technician did not show up for scheduled 11am-2pm appointment until AFTER I had to call at 2:15pm to ask where they were. Requested a call back from Keith (manager) or Sal (owner) and no one has had the courtesy to call me back (or they are still calling the wrong number.) Technician didn't even clean one of the carpets I showed him that needed to be cleaned (had to call him back!) Technician even refused to help me (an older lady) move some furniture. They give you a price on online and once you call them up they keep adding to walk way , closets and all and they say no hidden price. I was ok to add up for closets and walkway but once they are here we have tiny area to put our shoes which is connected to our living room with small door, they say extra 15 to that, also they add 15$ to little space in bathrooms which is again 30$, they never said me to pre-vaccum and for that they will charge 50$ more, gosh prive from 109$ from online went upto 242$ for 2 bed room apartment. The person who is here is not all at professional he just say i am not lying to you and that's funny he is just doing his job and he need not mention 100 times i am not lying to you. This carpet cleaning sucks i just cancelled appointment after they were here. Since they are already here I thought they would give me discount as they were lot of hidden pricing but which they never did and they are just gone. This is just a franchise that uses the sears name to attract clients they will give you a price over the phone and once they are at your house they try to up sell you for way more.. linda mancuso works in the office very rude and disrespectful when I called for my 30 day satisfaction guarantee she did everything she could to get out of it and was not helpful. We had Sears come out t cean our carpet. I had notified them that our dog had come down with diabeties while we were on vacation and had several accidents on the carpet. They said no problem they could treat it but it wuld cst more. Our home is just over a year old, and the carpet is used very little it is on the second story. The so called tech cleaned te carpet and several of the areas were very wet when he left and I had to extract the carpet that night and put a blower on it to dry the carpet. When the carpet dried we had stains all over the carpet and te one area looked like the color in te carpet had come out klike it was bleached out. I caleed and a different tech came out got some of the stains out but still had bad ones ad the bleached area. Called out the third tme still not resolved. I called to have a supervisor call me and was told that was alll they could do. Tried 4 times for supervisor to call never happened. Had a carpt person come out they said thecarpet was damaged and foud out we colud not get the same carpet to match the bedroom. Checked with attorney Sears said they would not do anyting. It is going to cost me over $5,000.00 to replace the carpet. I spend a lot of money at Sears wit my business, but I a going to close my accounts ad never shop there again.
