AHS corp set up this service for today between 7am-6pm. I've waited all day, over 8 hours when a virtual text from Sears said I have to reschedule and no tech can come! After me waiting all day long! Waiting for over 8 hours and they just tell me via virtual text they have no agent available?! They only have an AI contact, no live agent. Not even AHS could reach them! I shopped with Sears Hometown Stores online, canceled my order over 2 weeks ago and I still will have to wait another 72 hours to have my cancellation confirmed. And another 5 days to get my refund after that.. this is a horrible exp Update it has now been 20 days since my cancellation, and still no notification of any kind May 8 I still have not received any contact from Sears Homestores. I have never had a large company like this have such shoddy customer service.I bought a washer Sunday and it was supposed to be delivered Wednesday morning.I called that afternoon and got an excuse.I was told it would be Thursday morning.I called and was told a different excuse.But it would be late that afternoon.It wasn't .I called Friday morning and was told it was on the truck and was going to be delivered by the end of the day.That was a lie.So, I am going to cancel my purchase and go to Lowes.Someone who values me as a customer.I should have gone there instead of Sears.They had a sale on what I wanted.Look how that turned out.Go to a reliable store who you can trust to do what they say they are going to do.And who have great customer service. read more

Definitely preferred the staff and environment at this store over the West Memphis location, where workers wouldn't even give us the time of day. Saleswoman was very knowledgeable of the different fridges and showed us the floor models that were closest to what we wanted to order. Did have to pay a separate delivery/disposal fee but the crew they use was on time and very thorough. Only complaint is I believe there is a little switcheroo happening when salesperson browses fridge models on the store computer versus what I saw on the Sears website at home... pretty sure I ended up paying $100 more. read more

Sears Home store in Olive Branch Ms is the absolute worst cust service in following through. We bought our oven in December 2020 and the door was damaged. We have been trying to get a new door since then and they have given us the run around. The mgr. Gerry takes no responsibility and would blame it on the on the other lady. She seem to always say she would check on it and call me back, but that didn't happen. We had to keep calling and every few weeks drive there ( about 50 minutes away). Finally a repair man came out and he took charge and had our door here within the week. we went to this store after we went to the West Memphis store and they are dumb as a box of rocks. My grandmother and I went to the store and ordered a refrigerator on 03/29/21. Ms. Vee, scheduled it for delivery on 04/01/21. Got a call from the warehouse on 03/31/21. We were told the delivery was delayed until 04/03/21. The unit would arrive that Saturday morning. Called the store, spoke to a man that worked there. He said, it would be delivered Saturday morning on April 3rd. April 3rd, still no refrigerator. Spoke to Vee, by noon Saturday. She gave us the runaround and made a bunch of excuses. Said the unit had arrived, the drivers were at the warehouse. But she couldn't promise delivery. My grandmother called and spoke to the same man I spoke with prior. He told her the unit would be delivered Monday morning, on 04/04/21. Now it's Monday. Still no delivery. My grandmother went to the store in person. Spoke to the same man. He changes the delivery date again. Either April 8th or the 9th. This is beyond ridiculous! My grandmother was on the phone with me getting my information. She said, when she got off the phone with me, the man that worked there, said he was done with me now. Then he started flirting with her. Which was totally inappropriate. Especially, with my grandfather being outside. Sears has gone downhill. We still don't have a refrigerator and can't buy food for our new home. read more

Gary has made my experience purchasing a refrigerator for my son and daughter-in-law extremely negative. Very poor customer service. I turned in a mower for warranty work on April 25, 2019 and as of today I still haven't received my mower back. They rarely answer their phone (662-890-9334) and don't return phone calls when you leave a message and as off May 21, 2019, the voice mail box is full so you can't leave a message. I called to check the status of my mower May 2nd, 6th, 10th, 12th, 15th, and 23rd. I did get in touch with a female employee and she said she would check the status and call me back, she never did. The second time I got ahold of her she gave me the phone number to Precision Mechanics (662-609-4054), their repair vendor. I called the repair vendor on May 15th and they said just received the mower a couple of days ago and were waiting on parts. When I called Precision Mechanics again on May 23, 2019, they said they were no longer doing business with this Sears store. I went to the store (because they rarely answer their phone) and the gentlemen at the counter made a phone call to someone explaining the mowers needed to be picked up that day. I left my phone number and didn't receive a call yesterday evening. I tried calling and few minutes ago and no one answered the phone and the voicemail box is still full. I purchased a freezer from the Sears Hometown Store in Olive Branch, Mississippi back in December. At the time of purchase, we were unsure of whether we wanted them to take away our old freezer when they were bringing the new one. The lady that took our payment information told us that she would add the $25.99 pick-up charge and we could call her and get it refunded back if we decided to keep the old freezer. We did keep the old freezer and have been trying to contact them for over 2 months for resolution. They won't refund our money. My wife told the man that answers the phone that they could keep the money if they would pick up the freezer when they were in our neighborhood. He takes her number but never returns her calls. This is very bad business to promise one thing and not hold up to it. Also, bad business to just ignore customers with issues. It is sad that I cannot trust them anymore and they just stole our money. read more

I really should give this store/experience less than one star because the customer service here is the worst I have ever experienced. The manager of this store is Gary. We have always bought appliances from Sears and most recently from Sears Home Store in Collierville. Since that store had closed, when I was ready to purchase new appliances, I drove from my home in Memphis to Gary's store in Olive Branch. I ordered my appliances and they had no problem taking my money for 3 new appliances. 4 or 5 days later, I got online to check measurements and double check that I had ordered the right size and found the appliances I had ordered were $350 cheaper than the day I bought them. I immediately called-no answer. I called the next day and talked to Vee (sp?) and she assured me that the price difference would be taken care of and all I needed was my receipt and proof of the price difference, which I had printed off website. This was 1/16/20. Well, we have been told over and over again that the price would be adjusted, by phone and in person on 4 different occasions either my husband or I drove down for a face to face with Gary. Over and over we were told that we would receive a credit and, although our appliances have finally been installed (After 3 attempts to get microwave installed without part breaking), we have never received a returned phone call or a refund on our appliance purchase. I will NEVER buy appliances from this store again-I could have bought them anywhere but because of my experiences in the past, I chose to drive to Olive Branch and buy from Sears. Do yourself a favor and go buy your new appliances from someone other than Gary's Hometown Sears in Olive Branch/Oxford MS. read more

I came to this store to purchase a dryer. I had seen really good deals online, and thought this would be a good place to make a purchase. When I got there, the one employee in the store barely looked up and said hello. I looked around and found a couple of options. Finally after about 15 minutes of standing around waiting, the employee looked at me like he was annoued by my being there and asked if I needed help. When I told him what I was looking for, he said, "uh.... I kind of need to go to the bank right now." After a few moments of awkward silence, I said, "So do you need me to leave?" He replied, "I'll only be about 15-20 minutes." Well, I left the store, and needless to say, I did NOT return. You missed out on a sure sale. I went to Home Depot.
