UPDATE -- October 30: The freezer finally arrived on October 27, but a plastic hinge protection piece at the top, near the interior light switch, was cracked upon delivery. I had to call Best Buy Customer Service again. A service team is now scheduled for November 4. I was told they will replace the piece if it is in stock; otherwise, they will have to order it, creating another delay. We are unable to use our freezer while this replacement is pending. After repeated delivery delays, we now have a damaged freezer and no confirmed date when we can begin using it. I purchased this $479 upright freezer from Best Buy on September 14, with delivery, installation, and setup in our garage. As a loyalty program member, I expected reliable service. Instead, I experienced repeated delays, conflicting information, and more than two hours spent trying to get answers. Delivery was originally scheduled for October 20. The day before, Best Buy notified me by text and email that it needed to be rescheduled. A representative arranged a new delivery date of October 23. On October 23, I received an email at 6:01 a.m., a text at 8:10 a.m., and another email from a "Customer Advocate" at 10:01 a.m.--all saying delivery needed to be rescheduled again. The phone number in the advocate's email rang unanswered, with no option to leave a voicemail. My email reply also went unanswered. Yet when I contacted Best Buy's live chat, the representative assured me that delivery was still scheduled for October 23 between 1 and 5 p.m. How can customers plan their day when Best Buy's own representatives provide contradictory information? I called customer service and was promised a supervisor callback within two hours. That deadline passed without a call. After I called again, a supervisor finally contacted me about 30-45 minutes later. When I asked why I should remain a Best Buy customer after this experience, the supervisor focused on loyalty program perks. My concern was getting the freezer delivered and receiving accurate information. She rescheduled delivery for October 27 and promised compensation for my time and aggravation, but neither the amount nor the form was confirmed. Then, at 3:23 p.m. on October 23, the same Customer Advocate I had been unable to reach called to tell me that delivery had been rescheduled for October 27--something I had already arranged with the supervisor. This redundant call, following the contradictory information earlier that day, left me with little confidence that Best Buy's systems and representatives share current customer information before contacting customers. The freezer has now been delivered, but it arrived damaged and remains unusable pending replacement of the cracked piece. The promised compensation also remains unresolved. Repeated rescheduling, unanswered communications, conflicting information, a missed callback promise, and now a damaged product have made this purchase unnecessarily frustrating. Best Buy needs to improve coordination and accountability across its delivery and customer service teams. I would rate this experience 2 out of 10. Purchasing a freezer, having it delivered undamaged, and being able to use it should not require this much time and effort.

For the past few years I've been on the fence about upgrading my home theatre receiver. I went to a…read moreHigh End audio store on 202 (concord pike) and was initially told about the quality of a Marantz system. Fast forward to the last two weeks, I had the time to go to the Best Buy in Christiana to see if I could hear the Marantz Cinema 30 system. They didn't have one on display but the associate (Rocky) talked with me about 45 minutes helping me understand the pros and cons of upgrading the AVR or speakers I have. Walked out feeling I was ready to make a decision and this is where things got interesting. I spoke with Marantz (yeah, I'm that customer) and wanted to know more about a recertified Cinema 30 they had compared to one that Best Buy showed in their inventory. The only difference was the extra warranty option Best Buy has and the key fact that if something went wrong, Best Buy would protect your investment with the same value you purchased for. Marantz wanted me to buy from them direct and offered me a discount on any item (new or recertified). Out of respect for Rocky assisting me for over 45 mins I went back to Best Buy to see if by chance they could price match what Marantz offered. 9 times out of 10, no, but Rocky took my request up the chain of command and came back with a surprising Yes. This review is because this man spent 3 hours and 45 mins with me over two separate days, without knowing If I would buy the system. On top of that, they don't get commission. So for what I saved combined with the amount of time and professionalism he showed me, I am happy to say I'm now the owner of a Brand New Marantz Cinema 30 receiver.

He seemed very knowledgeable of their collection and the benefits of buying a Seiko from Janvier as opposed to anywhere else. I did not feel too pressured to buy anything, and was able to look for as long as I wanted before letting the salesman know I was heading out. Overall not a bad experience.

Upon delivery, there was a rain storm. After disconnecting my fridge the men told me that I had to be rescheduled because my new fridge had to be taken apart and the rain would risk harming the components. When I called to schedule re-delivery, I was told it would be another week...and that day didn't work due to appointments, so it was looking even further out. Long story short, after discussing for a while, the manager, Michael, told me they could bring it first thing the next morning. The 2nd delivery worked well. The person who was in charge also gave me more information about why they couldn't bring it inside via a different door the day before. I really think that there should be more leeway in the schedule for when something like this happens. I am sorry I had to get so upset in order to get the 2nd delivery done in a more timely manner.

Poor after sales experience…read more Hawkins was recommended by my cabinet designer so that is where we went with our drawings to pick out appliances. Having no experience with down drafts, blowers and how they are installed,we ordered what was recommended to us. Come to find out after the blower was delivered that there are various options for blowers that would be compatible with the down draft for various installations, some with 10" ducts and external installations, and some with 8" ducts for internal installations. No questions about installation were ever asked by the salesman. I have 8" joists in the basement, making the installation of the considerably more expensive 10" external blower almost impossible. Not to mention the extensive cutting of the block wall in the basement that would be required. Tried to do a return of the 10" blower and was told this is not possible? What?!?!? The only solutions offered were that they could try and sell it on consignment and take a commission, or try and sell it myself on FB market place. So I had to purchase another blower to complete my kitchen renovation and am now stuck with trying to sell the 10" blower to try and recoup some of my money.
