I'm so very happy with the service, in my opinion the cost was on the high side but I don't have any other quotes to compare. My Kenmore washer stopped working and I had no idea who to turn to then I recalled working with Sears many years back for a repair so I decided to try them again. Booking the appointment was easy, I did it online then started getting text updates, The morning of my first appointment, the repairman called me and told me what time to expect him. He showed up on time, diagnosed the issue and after approval ordered the part. The day he came back to do the repair he showed up as promised and fixed my washer, he even gave us a tip or two on how to extend the life of my washer. Like I said earlier it was an expensive repair- but it's fixed now and the price to fix was a lot less than buying a new one. I would use them again. read more

Did not diagnose the problem correctly but charged $677 for service and a part that was not broken. AI only contact and cannot reschedule appointments. Supervisor of the second repairman noted that it was not diagnosed correctly and scheduled another part order and service but you cannot get to anyone except their AI to correct any problems. They keep sending you to the website which does not have the capability to fix the issue, do a refund or lodge a complaint. If I could give 0 stars I would. NEVER USE THEM!!! read more

HORRIBLE! On my first scheduled appointment, NO CALL, NO SHOW. Second scheduled appointment the technician showed up, looked at the refrigerator, then asked if it was okay if he came back the next morning because the repair would take long and he was tired. The next day a different technician showed up but was clueless on why he was even scheduled to come. He ordered parts and scheduled a return date. On the return date (4th appointment), NO CALL, NO SHOW They rescheduled me (5th appointment) NO CALL, NO SHOW. Now the system sent a message saying sorry but there are no appointments and we'll contact you if one becomes available. The time frames are between 7am-6pm so now I've missed 3 days of work for nothing...and still NO REPAIR. read more

service request mid Sept. First repair date Oct . Technician did not remI've unit for repair or inspection . Determined the part needed to repair was not available. Therefore , Sears was to call and give us when to order a replacement.. Never called. we called and were informed that technician did not report that a replacement was needed. After several weeks. A new tech came out and removed unit and determined what part was needed. October 16. It was ordered. Received here secon week of November . New tech came out Nov. 19 and replaced bad part with new one . The last two technicians were excellent and professional ( Joseph and Byron). Sears handled the entire issue very poorly. At one point a Project Mgr. was rude and not helpful. Thus it took 3 months to complete and remedy our problem. read more

First trip out to repair refrigerator was a 2-day employee that did not have a clue. He did order the right part. The second trip out a seasoned veteran employee--Bruce--came out and was excellent but he realized a second part was needed. The third trip to install both parts-- the technician texted he was 10 minutes away, he took a picture of my condo building while I was standing in the yard and drove on by and said I was not at home. The fourth trip out the service van broke down. And the fifth trip finally, Adam T. arrived and fixed my refrigerator. The time-frame you must be home to wait for the tech is between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. TOO MUCH TIME. Additionally, the service trip cost $130 EACH time plus $150/hour labor so I ended up paying $1200 to get the flap on my in-the-door ice maker fixed!! I could have bought a new refrigerator for not much more than that. RIDICULOUS!! NEVER again. read more

I hate to give a bad review but boy oh boy do I wish I would have went with a small biz here instead! This company is run by AI. They mess up constantly. Two days they never showed up for the appointment and you can't just call to speak with a human! Our washing machine has been broken and we are backed up bad with laundry!! We are a family of 5 and I'm Pregnant and this has been a nightmare working with these people. They made me pay $125 diagnostic and can't even get out to fix the problem. I can't even use 1Star because the service has been so unreliable. A tech was supposed to provide a text or call 30 min before coming - I never received either and was told that the tech was there and left- turns out he knocked on the wrong door. So another was scheduled the following week and the same thing happened. I am so frustrated with this process - there are no phone numbers where you can speak to a person - just an automated system with no option to speak to someone. And they call that customer service! on nov 7, 2024 a represenative from seats appliance repair came to service my freezer and the warranty was for 30 days. i paid 489.19 and after 11 days it was not freezing again after he put in a used part to defrost temperature. heis name was bruce. we called them agsin to come out but no show vecause they overloaded his work so we wasted a day waiting for him. the next appoint would take place 48 hours. he showed up and replaced the part again but he said it has to be rigged to the defrost heater tgat he could not do it because it is not code he said we could hire an electrician to do. they stole 489.19 from me. i will not recommend them nor use them in the future. i would give them a negative one read more

Absolutely horrendous company. Extortionary sales practices. First, they come for a diagnostic check for $129. Then, once you've paid that, they estimate a fix price that's double the market. But you're already in for $129 so you feel trapped. It also takes 3 weeks for them to come back again to actually do the repair. As if that's not bad enough, the technician broke the dryer he was supposed to fix. It heated up fine before he worked on it (just needed new rollers), but as soon as he left it would not heat up. I called Sears and they told me it would be ANOTHER $129 diagnostic fee to see what HE BROKE, and then who knows what to actually fix it. And TWO WEEKS to send him back to even look at it. I called someone else local. The local guys came the next day. Sears' guy accidentally unplugged the warmer. They plugged it in and were on their way. DO NOT USE SEARS. Service sucks, the customer is expected to know if there's been a mistake with scheduling, many lies are told to the customers, much procrastination, my repair was escalated several times, I was lied to for 8weeks, given a $50 gift card because I waited so long, and denied for my repair. Pay sears monthly for warranty and have them come do maintenance every year before summer and winter just to be told a clog in drainage valve is part of maintenance but not covered by sears. I have had them unglog this in the past and don't understand how this isn't part of the unit coverage. They also could of mentioned this before I spent 100 dollars on deductable since a clog is a simply reason why ac units stop working. If I would of known this I would of checked this myself. Was last appointment scheduled. Appointment notice said between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. Technician arrived at 7:00 pm, and finished at 8:00 pm . Appointment originally scheduled in November, then canceled until December 13 when parts ordered. Parts arrived December 18, but not rescheduled until January 10. At 1:00 pm on January 10, it was abruptly canceled until January 27, when technician finally came at 7:00 pm! I called Sears Home Services for an appointment because I was hearing a dripping in the attic from the air conditioner. On the day of the appointment I received a text from Richard with an estimated time of arrival. Richard was prompt, professional and efficient. He inspected the problem and solved it immediately at no cost to me under my protection agreement with Sears.I was very pleased. He also explained there were something we paid for that was not done a installation. He reported this an installers will be returning to complete the job. I have spoken to many people and referred Sears Home Services and request Richard because he is an honest person doing the right thing for his customers.
