If you are going on a party boat you can grab some extra rigs and weights, if you fishing near the marina or surf fishing they have all the live and frozen bait + lures you will need. They even have rods and reels for sale. Best part is they have boats to rent that you can take around in the Shark River. They are small (16ft) and have like a 9 HP engine but get the job done to cruise around the river and do some fishing. Bring your patience if you are heading in there before the party boats head out (early morning) (2:30 pm) because it will be crowded in there but they move the line quickly.

I was informed by my son the reel was under warranty. She checked with someone else at the shop and came back to me and explained they deal with the reel company often and stated she will take care of the paper work for the warranty and explained that I could take the reel and not be bothered coming back. I thanked her and left. The young lady went out of her way to help me as she took her time to do so. The crabbing wasn't that great today but the box crab trap was a good one and I will definitely stop back my next trip to pick up another. Trap was good for either chicken or bunker. At $15 the price was right too........ While i didn't go shopping for anything else they seemed to have everything you would need for fishing or crabbing for sale inside. The woman at the register was friendly and polite. Maybe next time I could actually catch something more than a sunburn.

I ordered three jars of Pro-Tec Powder paint from Shark River Mail Order. I received the right paint and couldn't wait to get to my lures. I was and happy to see two of the paints were right on as far as color, application and glow properties. One of the paints didn't meet the required glow properties and thought I might of missed something in my application. After testing the paint with a different batch of lures, I got the same result. I contacted SRMO and talked to Rose. She was polite and asked me how, when and where questions pertaining to my application and the testing I did. She said she was concerned if their remaining stock was the same. I suggested to send the jar of Pro-Tec back so they can test it. Later that day I got a call from someone who tested the remaining stock and all seemed to up to standards. I sent my paint back with the guarantee they would take care of the return postage. Less than a week later I received a package from SRMO containing the Pro-Tec paint. A note on the Invoice stated they tested my paint and it seemed to be in need of more glow powder. They added the required powder to bring the glow properties up to what I needed. Also in the package was a jar of 'CS Coatings-Vinyl Lure & Jig Finish' to try .( total surprise!!) Also, I noticed the credited my credit card the price of a jar of Pro-Tec Powder paint!.. I would never go back to a business that gives me a disservice... This is 'NOT' Shark River Mail Order'!!!!... Without any hesitation I would recommend SRMO to my fishing buddies anytime, anywhere!! Satisfied customer, Gary Kulisek

I placed a pretty big order as they had a reel I liked for a little cheaper then local tackle shops. When I received my order I noticed it was incomplete and what was inside was damaged. I contacted SRMO via email with attached photos of the damaged goods and listed the items missing from my order. I got a reply the following day saying: "Please return for credit Thanks" Their website states: "DAMAGED SHIPMENTS - Sometimes it happens, so rest assured that SHARK RIVER takes all responsibility, Call our toll free number to get instructions and start us shipping you another product right away. You pay nothing extra for this. All packages are insured with carrier automatically without any cost to you." They obviously don't honor the above considering their email reply.. And I'm not sure if they actually read the email since they completely ignored the missing items. I tried calling numerous times to both phone numbers. No answer...crickets... I regret not just paying a few extra bucks and shopping local. Don't make the same mistake I did - AVOID SHARK RIVER MAIL ORDER! Shop local instead.
