If you are going on a party boat you can grab some extra rigs and weights, if you fishing near the marina or surf fishing they have all the live and frozen bait + lures you will need. They even have rods and reels for sale. Best part is they have boats to rent that you can take around in the Shark River. They are small (16ft) and have like a 9 HP engine but get the job done to cruise around the river and do some fishing. Bring your patience if you are heading in there before the party boats head out (early morning) (2:30 pm) because it will be crowded in there but they move the line quickly.

The crabbing wasn't that great today but the box crab trap was a good one and I will definitely stop back my next trip to pick up another. Trap was good for either chicken or bunker. I placed a pretty big order as they had a reel I liked for a little cheaper then local tackle shops. When I received my order I noticed it was incomplete and what was inside was damaged. I contacted SRMO via email with attached photos of the damaged goods and listed the items missing from my order. I got a reply the following day saying: "Please return for credit Thanks" Their website states: "DAMAGED SHIPMENTS - Sometimes it happens, so rest assured that SHARK RIVER takes all responsibility, Call our toll free number to get instructions and start us shipping you another product right away. You pay nothing extra for this. All packages are insured with carrier automatically without any cost to you." They obviously don't honor the above considering their email reply.. And I'm not sure if they actually read the email since they completely ignored the missing items. I tried calling numerous times to both phone numbers. No answer...crickets... I regret not just paying a few extra bucks and shopping local. Don't make the same mistake I did - AVOID SHARK RIVER MAIL ORDER! Shop local instead.
