I also have read all of Dr Sukal's reviews and are amazed that there would even be one negative review. It starts when you walk in the office and immediately see Karen at the front desk who greets you with a smile which immediately puts you at ease. When you deal with her you might as well be at home with your family. she is warm, attentive and caring. Next to Karen sits Nikki who is wonderful as well. The office itself is beautiful with a waiting room that is furnished nicely and a fish tank to create a serene atmosphere. When you are called into the office you are greeted by his assistants. i have been lucky enough to have known Lenore for a few years. She has been with the Doctor for many years and has a wealth of knowledge. At anxious times she has always known how to make me feel better. Taryn has worked with Dr Sukal for a short time but has the great attitude and attributes to be in that position. The Doctor also has an incredible Pathologist on site. Haley is comforting and incredibly knowledgeable. I was so impressed by her. As good as all the above sounds there is better and that is Dr Sukal. He is thorough and a Doctor who is totally up to date on all procedures and medicine. He never rushes but rather takes his time to examine you. If there is an issue, He fully explains it to you in terms a regular person would understand. He has done procedures on me with great precision. This is a one in a million Doctor that I recommend, and that comes from a 57 year old man who had a kidney transplant 13 months ago. I can only have the best Doctors and he fits all criteria. I know Dr Sukal from his days with NYC top dermatology practice with Dr Roy Geronomus. I found him in Florida for myself and my mom years ago. Couldn't be happier with the care I received as well as my mom while she was alive. I used him for cosmetics and my mom used him for dermatology. The office was clean, well run, and I was taken quickly. NYC is my home so Dr Sukal cant be my year round care giver but know youre in top tier hands. read more

I'm writing this review in the office, bringing a family member in for a procedure. This place is clean and put together. However, the staff here are so short and unwelcoming. I am a trauma ICU nurse, and this behavior is completely unacceptable for new patients here in the office. Dr. Sukal did not even look us in the eyes when he walked into the room he started washing his hands and telling me to leave and wait in the waiting room since I couldn't sit in the room with my family member while a very small extraction was being completed. He said "this isn't a show". We won't be back here! read more

Excellent physician and thorough examination makes this office an excellent choice. If there is any shortcomings it would be the telephone and front desk staff. They can at times seem totally disinterested in patients needs. This doesn't , however, dissuade me from highly recommending this office. read more

Office is clean and staff is friendly! Dr Sukal is caring and knows his skill. My last doctor missed areas of my concern but Dr Sukal picked right up on them. My family is switching to his office too! Thank You Dr Sukal and staff! read more

My husband and I having been going to Dr Sukal for 7 years every six months. We love him and understand how busy he is. Other skin doctors recommend him to do the work they can't do in their own offices or are not as qualified as Dr Sukal. His front staff could be better and his billing done by his wife sucks. As a doctor he is very caring and polite and knowledgeable and explains everything in advance. I would recommend him to anyone in my family or close friends. He needs to find a good bookkeeper everything else is great with him and his Nurse Practitioner. read more

I previously wrote a post about this so called doctor but this is an update, DONT go to this office this man is a narcissistic, controlling freak and paranoid, while my family member was waiting in the room , we could heard how disgustingly and aggressive he was being to one of his nurse , I step out to see what was happening and I saw the poor nurse walking away with her purse in tears , the doctor saw my mother and we were sick to our stomach went we ask if everything was okay and he responded to mind our business! Well sir is our business to ask why you're so aggressive to your nurse if 14 years! Because if you can treat a human being in such manor then I don't think we'll come back! We left and come back for what he said my mother had a pre melanoma which actually it was just actinic keratosis and to our surprise the nice nurse wasn't there or the super nice receptionist who since to run the whole office by herself! So we grab our records and left ! This man needs to stop practicing medicine, the staff now is horrible some students from FAU and one young woman who doesn't even know the difference between pre cancer and actually cancer and then his wife who couldn't even print a piece paper! There's plenty of dermatologists with excellent reviews and fully staff , plus he charged you cash for removing skin tags which insurances paid for it ! So there's STAY AWAY from this man !!! read more

I have been to Dr Sukal's office several times for skin issues. I have always has a great experience. Dr. Sukal is an outstanding doctor who is sharp, personable and very professional. I recommend him highly! read more

The worst experience. This was my first visit to this doctor. Would never recommend this dermatologist. My wife called in advance to tell the doctor's office that I needed an appointment to remove a few skin tags near my eyes, which were causing me irritation, and related rubbing of the eyes, which caused discomfort and water tearing, and some related infection. I also went to have a full-body scan to look for any signs of skin cancer. I arrived early, and completed all first visit registration paperwork. I paid my $15 co-pay. I was only one of 2 patients who were at the office the entire time I was there. The other patient was at the reception counter, paying. They have a large waiting room, and I was the only person there for the entire time (about 20 minutes) I was there completing my paperwork. I was taken right in. No wonder, I was the only verified patient there. The medical assistant asked me the standard general questions about my health. The doctor entered the room without delay. The doctor asked me why I was there. I pointed out the skin tags near my eyes. He said he would not remove skin tags, since they are cosmetic and benign. I nicely told him that they were causing me issues. He would not help me, not even if I paid for the removal separate from the insurance. I asked Dr. Sukal how would I have these skin tags removed, if a dermatologist was unable to remove them. He said maybe ophthalmologist would remove these, but in a very condescending way. I then mentioned that my prior dermatologists had removed these in the past. Then, for no apparent reason he told me to then go back to my prior dermatologist, while abruptly and simultaneously turning around and leaving the examination room with his medical assistant. My total time in the examination room was maybe about one minute total with the doctor. He did not even do my full-body scan to look for any indications of skin cancer. I was left in a state of disbelief. I walked to the reception area and requested return of my $15 co-pay since I have no medical treatment. The receptionist went to the back office area out of my sight, and came back a minute later and said the $15 was for my examination, which I never received. It was not the $15, but rather the principal of the incident. Not only was I humiliated and mistreated, but the doctor never even did the medically necessary full-body skin scan. Now, while writing this review of this incident, which happened to occur only just over an hour ago, the police called me on my cell phone. Apparently, the doctor was now mad that my wife called after I left the doctor's office to inquire what happened. They told my wife that the manager would call her back, who in fact did not call back. Instead the police called back. Apparently, the doctor's office was mad that my wife called their office after my visit, and in some sort of sick retaliation the doctors's office then called the police to press fabricated charges for assault. This complaint had no merit and did not gain any traction, since the assault was fabricated and the police investigation substantiated this fact. I will call my health insurance company and get my $15 co-pay back. Again, this was never about the money. You are welcome to write me if you need any further information on my experiences with this doctor. This is my very first and only bad review I have ever made or posted, and hope it to be my last. Again, read my review and make your own decisions of whether you would see this doctor. read more

I have a dermatological surgeon in NY. I also have one in Florida. After having skin cancer surgery in New York, I tried to make an appointment with my Florida surgeon to review the procedure and make sure there was no infection at the surgery site. I had returned to Florida for a short period of time. After calling the office for an appointment I was told that the doctor would not see me and not to make other appointments with the office. The rating I originally gave of one star was not a rating for the doctor but of the office staff. They were curt and after being a ongoing patient I was totally taken aback by the attitude on the phone call. If there was a apology I would reconsider returning as a patient if accepted. read more

I'm surprised by all of these lousy reviews! My nephrologist recommended Dr. Sukal. He called him while I sat in his office and Dr. Sukal was willing to see me immediately which by the time I got there was almost five o clock! One of the office staff at my nephrologists office who gave me the directions, said, "Dr. Sukal is a beautiful man and you won't regret going there. He is the best!" That was in 2014, and I still agree. I asked him when he closed and he said after he saw the last patient. That was all I needed to hear. Dr. Sukal is the fourth dermatologist I've been to and he actually LISTENS to my concerns before responding. I have not had any negative experiences with his staff or him. He is a wonderful doctor and I recommend him! read more

Horrific. Poor excuse for a doctor. More like a factory than a doctors office. Took me more than an hour and 20 minutes late. Performed tests and when the results came in, no one called and I had to keep calling to get an appointment for a follow up and ended up having to wait till stiches came out. A nurse who in her own words didn't understand the results gave them to me without adequate explanation. Dr. Sukal never came in. I called to speak to dr Sukal or someone else to help me understand the results and after days of waiting a nurse called. Then I was told that dr Sukal was waiting for a better explanation from the person who reviewed my test and that he would call me. For around 2-3 weeks I kept calling and kept being told that dr Sukal would call me ASAP. Finally I spoke to the receptionist who told me that dr Sukal "never gets on the phone" and that I would need to make another appointment for him to explain my results. This place seems like a scam and I am making sure the rest of my family stops going here. Shameful for a doctor to show such disregard for his patients read more

Dr Sukal is a good doctor but his office staff and manager isn't up to par. If you are tempted to see this doctor, I just want to share with you that you may have billing problems long after the visit. You have to decide whether that's worth the potential trouble down the road. We have had multiple billing issues for bills we already paid. We were accused of not paying and were treated rudely to either pay up to get out and not be treated. I wasted a lot of time and energy to resolve billing issues, both with the office staff and the billing company. There seems to have been a lot of turn over in the office and people don't remembers things that happened. The office employees and the office manager are not knowledgeable. The outsourced medical billing company is super prone to error. The office manager was very rude to us, even though she falsely accused us of non-payment, and never apologized. For one bill, we were sent 3 additional bills for the same amount after it was already paid for the following 3 months. We called the office to let them know the problem it was finally resolved after a copy of the credit card receipt was sent over to prove we paid the bill. Can you imagine if we paid cash and/or had lost the receipt? To top it off, we were over billed, and consequently over paid. When we asked for the refund, we were told the only way we were going to get our money back is to go to the office to get it. While the amount of over payment was small, but the principal of the matter is wrong and the way a patient was treated is unprofessional. read more

Agreed with the other reviewer. Dr. Sukal is a smart and thorough doctor. However, the staff is not that great. "Do you have any medical history?" is not how to take a patient history. Asking about family history of skin cancer is pretty important. Asking about prior major surgeries is important. Asking about existing health conditions is important. The Dr asked some of these questions himself, but really this is something the staff who puts patients into rooms ought to do. AND after taking a biopsy, giving after care instructions is important. No after care instructions were given, oral or written. This is an irresponsible way to run an office. Some patients may just leave dirty bandages on day after day. Some patients may not know what to do if their biopsy/surgery site starts bleeding. I urge Dr. Sukal to hire a consultant to properly train his staff. read more

if I could give 0 stars a would. Not only do they not care to give the patients the best service possible, but at the end of the day it's all about the money for these people. I pay to see a doctor and I get a half ass job by a nurse practitioner. Then I am recommended a $300 cream. I am a college student who has been dealing with a wart for a year now and the "nurse" on my college campus did a better job than these "professionals". read more

I'll start by saying that Dr. Sukal is a good doctor. He cares and gives good treatment. He's thorough with his full body/skin cancer exams. However, like other reviewers, I have an issue with his nasty staff. They think nothing of berating and embarassing patients. They insisted that I pay for for services up front, even though I told them the charges were too high and are always reduced on the EOB. They say they will refund any overcharges if insurance doesn't approve the bill, but then they take a long time to do so. I've never heard of a doctor doing that. But they've done it a couple of times. They also screw up appointment times/dates and berate the patient if we try to tell them they are wrong. The office manager is extremely nasty. The doctor will not respond to calls/messages from patients if we have a complaint about the staff. Maybe the staff never gives him the messages. Who knows. But this office staff and their awful attitudes were enough to make me leave an otherwise good doctor. I just could not put up with the aggravation anymore. There are enough good dermatologists out there. Find another one and save yourself some trouble. read more

Dr. Sukal had been my doctor for many years . And due to an insurance mix-up from their office we are no longer patients . Unfortunately I would have to say do not go to Dr Sukal's office . His office staff is so rude . They literally handed me my biopsy report and told me to leave when I was there for a Mohs procedure . Even after discussing the situation with the Dr. , he more or less made excuses for his staff. I would definitely say there are many other dr offices out there who value their patients . read more

Dr. Lori in this office is fabulous however their office staff, Karen in particular is rude and disrespectful. They collect their "contracted rate" up front without finding out if you met your deductible and then holds your overpayments for months. It's October and Karen states they're only getting to their May billing so they can't refund the money I overpaid and have documentation on my EOB until they post it to the accounts. It's unfortunate that these doctors who are amazing have their first impressions by nasty and I appropriate staff! Karen should NOT be dealing with any human. read more

They have a horrible billing/claims team. I missed 2 deadlines to get my medication and had to wait an extra 30 days. They are always confused about the time of the appointments and hang up the phone on your face when they are "too busy" to help you. read more

I'll agreed with the others, the Dr. is arrogant and never spend more than two minutes with you unless you're there to discussed surgeries, he over charge for cosmetics, and if you don't agreed with him you get a discharge letter(sadly) now the other issue with this office is the lack of proper management and the rude and unprofessional staff , I have witness several confrontation from the big girl Samantha she is extremely aggressive towards patients and the other one person who works there she's have poor costumer services, probably being high is not helping her to be cordial to the paying patients, also I notice the office can't keep employees there's always someone new. very true the phones never get answer , you have to wait weeks before you can get your results, it seems as if the Dr. don't care for his business .. my advised look around there's plenty of good dermatologist in boca.. read more
