The pain ended up being serious (rotted to the core) so she pulled it out. When I saw what she pulled out, I was glad that I had it done today, but at least it was very quick and ended up only being $150! In summary: Very quick, does a good job, very well priced, very understanding/nice, and flexible! Like seriously, she could have waited to pull out my tooth on Monday, but instead she did it right then and there on a Saturday! I was not able to put pressure on the tooth without experiencing a sharp pain. Eating was unpleasant. :( He said what would most likely fix the problem would be to get a root canal. He referred me to Potter so I went. Potter checked it out and gave me some options. Wait or get the root canal. It could fix the problem or it wouldn't. I was very reluctant to proceed with any procedure considering I was having trouble chewing from the last one! After much deliberation, I had a root canal done. Eating is life and I wanted to do it comfortably. The experience was pleasant considering the circumstances. The staff was great. Potter was gentle. He didn't hurt me, not even when he injected me. I wasn't even that sore afterwards. They did a great job and the best part is it doesn't hurt when I chew anymore. I can eat in peace again. Thanks Dr. Potter.

I had an emergency situation, I called all the dental offices in the area to make sure that they took my insurance. SADLY I chose lavaca dental. upon arriving at the office after waiting three days, they lied and said that they called me to tell me they didn't take my insurance...funny she didn't have any of my information when I walked in (including phone number & NO PHONE RECORD OF A CALL) it was an emergency so I went ahead and did the procedure. after waiting a month and several visits (One of which they scheduled and weren't even open that day !!!) they did not honor their quote to me from my first visit they did not finish the treatment that I needed ! fighting the charges!!!!

Unfortunately in my haste I didn't notice and therefore I have to say it was my own damned fault that I feel taken advantage of. While the hygienist was good, I was not happy with the dentist who apparently did not speak much English. I found he was one of the roughest dentists I've been to. Also unfortunately I paid the entire quote in advance after the first of several visits. When I realized my mistake I instructed them to cease all work and informed them I would pursue the rest of services from another provider. After no credit would be provided, I then disputed the charge with my credit card company and was informed that the dentist refused my claim. At present I plan to take them to small claims court. They are part of a large corporate chain, and my numerous requests to speak with a higher level have been ignored. Lessons to be learned: 1) Don't chose this dentist 2) If you do, only pay for the services as they are performed and not for the full scope of the quote in advance. I know dentists operate on a tight margin with high competition, but this one needs to be more ethical, more professional and more considerate.
