I am so happy to have found this place! Dr. Kunz was very attentive, patient, thorough, and caring. He took care of all my prescriptions and answered all my questions. His office worker, Andrea, actually took care of the referral I needed to a specialist right in front of me before I even left the office (my last doctor's office took FOUR MONTHS, and I called them every week). All the ladies in the office were super sweet and helpful. The only remotely unpleasant part of the whole experience was the abrupt woman on the phone who handled setting up my new patient appointment, but I'm glad I ignored her and went through with the appointment. I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the treatment I received from your billing department and supervisory staff. I drove 35 minutes to my scheduled appointment only to be told upon arrival that I could not be seen because of an outstanding balance. I was then informed that if I made payment arrangements, I would still be able to be seen once I checked in. I spoke with Jackie B., who was extremely rude, dismissive, and showed no empathy toward my situation. I explained that I was willing to make a payment, although I could not pay the full balance at that moment. Her response was, "Oof, that's not going to do nothing," which I found highly unprofessional and disrespectful. After leaving, I called and requested to speak with her supervisor, Arkesha Channing. Initially, she acknowledged that I should not have been spoken to that way and appeared understanding. However, once the conversation turned toward payment arrangements and I explained what I could reasonably pay, her tone changed completely. She became rude, disrespectful, and unwilling to assist. When I asked for the chain of command, she stated that she was "not going to do anything." She also refused to allow me to speak with her supervisor and stated that no one was above her. During the call, she placed me on speakerphone and spoke to someone in the background about me, saying, "She got a problem with her bill and everybody the problem but her," and "She just don't want to pay her bill." Hearing a supervisor speak about a patient in such a degrading and unprofessional manner was extremely upsetting and unacceptable. I then spoke with her supervisor, Lorie, who also appeared more focused on the payment than the inappropriate conduct and poor customer service I experienced. At no point did I feel that my concerns regarding the disrespectful behavior were taken seriously. The doctors at your office may provide good care, but the behavior of the billing and administrative staff greatly impacts the patient experience. No patient should be treated with disrespect, spoken about negatively while on the phone, denied access to proper management, or made to feel insignificant because they are attempting to discuss payment arrangements. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this office to others unless significant improvements are made in professionalism, communication, and customer service within the billing department read more

Dr's nursing staff doesnt show care for patients needs. Nurse Practitioner(CRNP) Jordan Carter is very bold in telling you that they dont have time to take care of your needs because of too many patients. Very rude and talks down to you. I would stay away from him especially. read more

Easy to get appointment, fully equipped clinic so majority of test can be completed in visit. Fully staffed in various categories so there's no a delay even in the lab, and the newest updated equipment is used. I love my primary doctor! He's approach to discussing bad habits is effective without going overboard and annoying. Being a jerk would only make me change practices instead of following their advice. The facilities are extremely clean and fully stocked plus their employees are very professional and nice. I have recommended this practice for years and will continue to do so. read more

Patients beware!! If it's your first visit they will not bill it as preventative. My Blue Cross covers preventative care 100%. They billed my visit as medical instead of preventative even though I did not receive any care over and above a preventative visit and when I scheduled my appointment I asked for a preventative annual check up. They claim it's routine to bill a 'medical new patient visit'. There was no disclosure of this on the front end. I believe they are scamming their patients and insurances. Do not recommend. DO NOT GO THERE! They do not care about you, just in and out as quickly as possible for the $... I was misdiagnosed and called a flat out liar. After multiple attempt to tell them something was wrong and them telling me I was fine, it finally happens... My back blew! I feel as though this could have been prevented had he listened to me. X-ray after X-ray, you can only see bone on X-rays. Never recommended an MRI. Dr. Clifton thought I was too young. On my feet 12+ hrs a day, factory work but no, I was too young. He gave me multiple steroid shots in my hip which was NOT the problem. Could and should have been prevented, now I have to deal with this the rest of my life... NOT WORTH YOUR HEALTH! read more

The nurse, Megan, had the nerve to say to me, "If you had been at the last appointment with your mother you would've known what was going on." Really? I have been a patient for years and though I am completely satisfied with the physicians the service of the staff has dropped considerably. On a previous visit, I had an outstanding balance that need to be paid before I could be seen. I paid the balance however while in the waiting room, I could hear the staff conversation at the desk saying I wasn't supposed to be there because of a balance. Those type of conversations should not be discussed in public areas where patients are present. On the same visit , I was sent to the lab area for testing. I set in the area while other patients were tested and left. After being the only person still waiting, a lab tech came over . I was supposed to be signed in by the nurse assistant who set me in area and left. The most resent visit, I arrived checked in the kiosk and set in the waiting area as directed. Once again patients where coming, being seen and leaving. After 45 minutes I went to the desk and requested a refund of my copay as I never saw a doctor and was leaving. I was sitting in front of the desk the entire time and no one noticed the person sitting there for an excessive amount of time with an almost empty waiting room . I was not offered the option of seeing the doctor or any other medical personnel to solve the error nor did the staff trying to reschedule the visit for patient retention. While trying to process my refund I asked what was the reason I was not seen, I was told " they didn't know you were here". This business needs a real office manager. read more

I have a very hard time getting in to see the doctor. Every time I call, the doc's schedule is multiple days out. I can get in to see a nurse prac. which does get the job done, as it's usually only for a cold, but it would make sense to actually see my doc. Avoid this Clinic like the plague! If you read my review on google you will understand. I had the same experience as so many with being ghosted by Jessica Mays and entire billing management staff. I will NEVER allow Ms Alisha Lawyer to speak to me disrespectfully again or the doctor or owner of clinic to use toxic measures to handle simple issues. They should be ashamed of how they treat people. Its ironic to be Healthcare Providers and respond to patients in that manner. Especially a person who has been a professional in the Fitness field and an Educator of 35-40 yrs who returned to clinic for an Annual Wellness Exam only! My retired teacher insurance company filed a grievance. No worries this experience is behind me. Thankful to move forward never to return to that toxic staff & environment. I've gone to Dr Crenshaw for a lot of years now, and he always takes good care of me. His staff are always kind - sympathetic when I'm sick - and helpful when I have questions. I'm very fortunate to be in generally good health, so I don't come here too often. I'm always seen fast, Dr Crenshaw takes his time but doesn't dilly dally, and then I'm on my way. This review will have nothing to do with the quality of my medical care, which was (I assume) on par with normal standards. This review focuses on Seale Harris's billing department. Dr. Putman is pleasant and handled my care as well as can be expected. This clinic's billing department, however, is an absolute sham. I am still, to this day, working out billing errors that they committed on services that I received over a year ago. I made payments on multiple different occasions, each time, paying the supposed bills in full only to receive more bills later due to miscommunications between Seale Harris and my insurance company. I consistently communicated with Seale Harris throughout this process, calling on multiple occasions and spending HOURS on the telephone having to repeat my story and its' details over and over to various people, each with less of an idea of how to help me than the one before. Then, out of the blue, after I made YET ANOTHER payment to Seale Harris, they called to inform me that they had now PUT MY ACCOUNT INTO COLLECTIONS. So now, though I had consistently been doing more than my part to work through their own internal errors, they sent me to a third party and put my credit at risk due to their own laziness and idiocy. At this point, I have no choice but to pay the incorrect billing amount (an amount that is higher, mind you, than what my insurance company says I am supposed to owe) or else face my credit taking a massive hit due to this collections case defaulting. Though some of the people in the billing department are nice, most of them are utterly incompetent. On top of that, they give you the run around every time you try and take your communications to someone higher in the department, who MIGHT (key word) actually know what they're doing. Pure incompetence, pure stupidity, and pure irresponsibility are the only things I've encountered while working through this issue, except for in the case of the one bright spot in the department whose name is Tracy. (Whenever I could actually reach her) She spoke with me caringly and returned the respect and patience that I consistently showed to their billing staff, but even she failed to ever be able to connect me to the head of billing, Allison, who was conveniently always "in a meeting" any time I politely asked to speak to her. This office's incompetence has been a thorn in my side and a stress on my family for over a year now. I truly admire and respect my physician who practices at this clinic. This is not a reflection of his medical care . I keep going back... Even though the front office experience is always a nightmare. However, today was the last straw. They had previously mailed a bill to me from my last appointment ...Which I returned with my credit card information. Evidently, they could not read the exp date. Rather than calling me, they sent the bill to collections. Seriously!!! They are going to mess with my credit because they're too lazy to pick up the phone and ask for the expiration code? I was unaware any of this had transpired when I came in for my appointment. When they said I had an outstanding balance, I attempted to pay them.... and they refused to take the money. (That was when I found out they had made notes in their computer that they had received my credit card info and knew I had tried to pay.). I asked them to remove the collection and take my money. I have been a patient for approximately 2 years. I had an appointment mysteriously disappear upon my arrival, even though i had the appointment card in my hand, constant problems getting refills for health maintenance drugs (not narcotics). I recieved my first bill for charges not covered by insurance after said charges accumilated for over one year. I was making monthly payments on this bill, but i was refused service this morning because i was unable to pay the account balance in full. If i could leave negative stars, I would. If you schedule an appointment here, you need to make sure you arrive an hour early to comfortably make your appointment time. It's outrageous. I would highly recommend you to stay as far away from this clinic as humanly possible. I saw a physician from this group on at least three separate visits regarding the same set of symptoms.I was misdiagnosed and almost died as the result. This group almost killed me. Fortunately, I moved away from Birmingham and now have some of the best physicians in the country. My condition that was misdiagnosed kept me in the cardiac Intensive care unit for two weeks and I stayed in the hospital for 30 days. When they were informed of what happened, they seem to be more concerned about a potential lawsuit than saying they were sorry about what happened. The head doctor and my ex-doctor of this clinic should be ashamed of their behavior in not simply saying ' I'm sorry'. So ask yourself 'how important is your health to you?' Went there for my "free" annual checkup, made sure that the doctor understood that I came just for that and he agreed..well, ended up having to pay $260 for some lab work they did in-house instead of the BCBS-approved service provider. If you can not trust a doctor with the money, you shouldn't trust them with your health either - canceled all further appointments. read more

I am a college student from out of town who needed to see a doctor under my health insurance. I tried to use this place but had a bad experience before even walking in the door prompting me to find another doctors office, which I did. I told the receptionist what insurance I had and she stepped away to "check something". She let me know by saying "hold on" and putting me on hold for 9 minutes, which really isn't bad for a Monday morning during flu season. Then, a different lady came on the phone and asked what I needed. I told her I needed to see a doctor and she asked who and I explained that I wasn't sure because I had never been. She had an attitude as if i should know this stuff so I asked her where the other lady I was talking to went and I suppose she got annoyed with me or something because she hung up on me. I then turned around and immediately called back, thinking maybe somehow we were disconnected (although that was doubtful) and it took me 6 times and at least 15 minutes of calling for someone to answer. I tried to report this to whoever was on staff as manager that day but was told that she could call me back later (yeah right) because she was too busy right now. I have never been treated poorer by a doctors office and like I said,never stepped foot in the place. I'll simply find somewhere else to go but I wouldn't recommend anyone else waste their time. I am super sick with the flu and was hopeful for a better experience. Better hope your insurance plan is easy to understand with this place or they don't wanna deal with you. The staff misled us to make us think that the suggested service was covered by our insurance policy. We ended up with a big bill that we could not afford, and the staff told us it is all patient's responsibility. Be cautious before you agree on any services. read more
