It's so pretty & peaceful ! Small town feel . So many great restaurants near by as well !

A cute neighborhood pier that connects from the SB Main Street. It's very nice long walk anytime of the day. Plenty benches through the pier. You can sit and watch the suffers doing their thing or the houses long the water. It's very relaxing and chill place to be. There is a playground for kids and big restrooms underneath the pier. Also the lifeguard tower is right at the pier too. 2 parking lots (with pay) or street parking (limited time but free). Walkable to restaurants, shops, coffee joints and bars on the Main Street and a theater and market at the end of the street. Perfectly cute neighborhood area for sure.

A hidden gem as far as beach/pier locations go! It's chill in atmosphere while also having plenty of places to grab food, snacks, sundries and enjoy the day! It's our quiet go-to! :)

Came here after it rained. I hadn't been here since they were working on the end of the pier where the old diner was - glad to see they finally finished the end of the pier. Nice area to walk around and see the water. Very cute Christmas decorations this time of year. Very peaceful to listen to the water when you walk all the way out to the end of the pier.

A lovely spot with a lengthy pier that offers beautiful views and the vastness of the ocean. Sandy beaches below offer a wonderful step away from the bustle of the cities.

Great time at the pier today. The beach was very crowded but still worth it. I saw quite a few people with masks on which made me stay. I think Californians are taking Covid 19 more seriously. There were people who did not have on a mask but vast majority did. Most businesses were open but the restaurants only had take out and delivery service. There were a few restaurants with outdoor seating. What did I see? I saw people fishing, swimming, surfing, paddle boating and just walking the pier. The parking was a nightmare. I usually like coming to Seal Beach because it's usually not as crowded because it's not as big as other OC beaches but today all the lots were full. I was able to find 1 hour parking on the street. Overall, I still like Seal Beach Pier. It's cool, quaint and very clean.

We stopped in on a whim and unfortunately the day was not really a beach day. It was grey and windy. Maybe if the day was better than the review could be better but honestly I don't think so. In comparison to some of the other places I visited while on vacation this would definitely be the one I would not come back to. Outside of the beach there wasn't anything else to do in the immediate area.

Safe pier to relax, fish, and walk. Day or night it is safe. Watch where you park to avoid parking tickets & respect others when visiting.

Nice SoCal destination. Surfers galore. Beach boy store. Come visit. Down the street from the Seal beach meet. It's nice.

The garden features a large pond filled with koi, including around 30 big koi and what looks like hundreds of smaller ones they are raising. It is a relaxing place to watch the fish swim by and enjoy the scenery. One of the best parts is that visiting is free, but you do need to make a reservation ahead of time. They allow up to six people per reservation, and they typically do not take walk-ins, so plan ahead before coming. The garden itself is on the smaller side, and the walking path takes about 15 minutes at a casual pace. Still, there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. You will find charming bridges, small waterfalls, lily pads throughout the pond, and even a little Zen garden area. Even though it is compact, the peaceful atmosphere and the well-kept grounds make it a great visit. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area and want a quiet, refreshing escape.

It surprised me how naturally the park gave off that youthful atmosphere without trying too hard. The open spaces and colorful areas almost felt like spots made for taking pictures, and they did not cost anything to enjoy, which makes them perfect for teenagers who like hanging out and being creative. It was my first time at Whaley Park, and I did not realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around. I appreciated how easy it was to relax there without feeling rushed or crowded, even with all the teens playing games, taking photos, and talking with each other. Some parts of the park looked a little older or worn down, which is part of why I am giving it four stars instead of five, but nothing took away from the overall experience. I never doubted that the visit would turn out the way I hoped it would. I have only visited Whaley Park once before writing this review, but it ended up being one of the more enjoyable and energetic parks I have been to in a long time. I would highly recommend that teenagers go there because they would love the open spaces, the sports areas, the photo spots, and the creative vibe. It gives them a place to have fun, take pictures, and feel inspired in a simple and playful environment.

It's a great little road/trail--peaceful, scenic, and perfect for getting in a longer walk. There were a few other people out when we went, which was nice. I did notice some dogs off-leash (which I personally don't mind), but with coyotes in the area, I kept my small pups leashed just to be safe. A couple things to note: when I went around 4pm, there were quite a few mosquitoes--probably because it had rained recently and there was some standing water along the road/trail side. Also, parking was a bit confusing since there aren't marked stalls. I wasn't sure if I should park at an angle, perpendicular on the hill, or parallel, so that could definitely be clearer. It did feel a little quiet and slightly eerie when we first arrived since no one else was there, but there are homes along the top of the trail, so you're not completely isolated. Overall, I really enjoyed it and will definitely be back--especially once everything is dried out. Looking forward to more calm, serene walks with my pups!
