She listened to what I wanted and the results were what I had hoped for and more. A friend had recommended another stylist who wasn't available so I went with Jessica and I'm happy it worked out that way because she was wonderful and I don't think anyone else could have done a better job!

I visited this salon for a hair‑color service and was disappointed with both the results and the…read moreoverall experience. The final color did not match what I requested, even though I provided a clear reference photo. The outcome looked uneven and noticeably different from the shade we discussed. What made the experience more frustrating was the lack of customer care afterward. When I expressed my concerns, the salon staff were dismissive and did not make any effort to address the issue or offer a solution. The response felt indifferent, and the customer‑relation aspect was not met at all. For the price and time involved, I expected more professionalism, attention to detail, and a willingness to help when the results were not satisfactory. I hope the salon improves both its consultation process and its approach to customer service moving forward.

Got a junior stylist, who wasn't comfortable doing bangs yet, and she asked a senior staff member…read moreto do it for her. No big deal. Then when the haircut proceeds, I only feel a few snips, but didn't think anything of it. Stylist starts to style my hair, and I didn't think much of it and gave them full faith. When I got home and put on my glasses, I saw my bangs were TERRIBLE. I went to First Choice to get them fixed, and the stylist there asked me if I had cut my bangs myself! I told her that I had just come from another salon. She inspected the rest of my hair to point out to me that my hair WASN'T EVEN CUT. She fixed me up, thank god. I emailed and called Sound about a refund, and they wanted to get me in to get it fixed--but I had already gotten it fixed somewhere else. They refused to give me a refund and said there was nothing else they could do. Would you go back to a business where the senior staff--who is training other employees--royally ruined your bangs? And I would like to point out, that I paid full price for a haircut that I didn't even get! Lesson learned. Would not recommend. Will never go there again.

My 2nd visit to the Hair Factory was a major disppointment. I would have given this place 5 stars…read morefor the service of my first hair dresser (China) who was attentive and provided a great service and haircut. This time around, I decided to just drop by and try a different hairstylist (Courtney) and it turned out to be a bad decision. The place was nice to give me a call to say my haircut is delayed by 15min and that was the only positive this time round. Courtney spent only 15min total on my cut and shampoo. For a men's haircut of $34 including taxes, this is the first time I felt I have been ripped off at a hair salon with such a short cut time. I would have expected 30min at least. Not only was the haircut rushed, she did not ask me whether I liked the cut or whether she cut it right. The basic requirements of bringing out a mirror for the customer to see the back of my hair was not even provided. Furthermore, if my haircut was already delayed, at least provide some courtesy of paying more quality attention to the cut instead of trying to make up for your lost time from other customers using my paid time. For such a service and price, I would have just gone to a cheap hair salon instead. If you were to ever go to Hair Factory at Cavendish Sq, give Courtney a pass and get China.

They got me a full refund when the stylist turned my hair an odd shade of grey/blue. The stylist: did not do a good job on my hair; she also tested a new product on me she had never used before. I really trusted this salon and except for a great front desk, it was a major disapointment.

I just moved back from Alberta last month and I was so excited to have a Newfoundland experience in a salon and spa. The pedicure that I received from the esthetician was so good it was a five. On the other hand my haircut experience was a one. If I could give it a 0 I would because it was such a disappointment. Stylist that I had was very preoccupied with the client that she had before me. Left me a few times. I feel that I was overcharged for my service, I do not feel that the shampoo that I was given was very good and I had a basic haircut. She blew dry my hair and did not flat iron it or didn't even show me the back in the mirror to check to see if I was happy and sent me on my way. I was charged $80 for the service and I don't even know what I got. My husband came to pick me up and was wondering what was wrong with my hair. I give the spa a 5 The salon is zero. My Spa experience was wonderful but my salon experience was very disappointing and I will never ever be back to the salon and I will spread the word.

Was charged 66$ when on the website it states 25$ for a wash and style with no other information that states the price is subjected to change due to hair length and time. I also emailed about the price myself prior to the appointment and they just confirmed by appointment without answering my question about the price. Emailed the to see if I could get a refund and got no response until I called. They said that loose waves couldn't be done in the hour timeframe so they did tight curls instead. However the hairstylist did not once tell me that the hairstyle could not be attained and did this to my hair instead, and I feel like it should have been disclosed BEFORE he started styling my hair. I did not receive my money back. It is beyond me how they let a customer walk out their salon with the hair style I was given. I went home washed and styled my hair myself. Overall super disappointed and would definitely avoid this salon in the future, especially for prom season!
